Wow, what a dream team!!! Leland on bass! Tamir on drums! Larry's funky keys! Sophia's expressive vocals! Ryan's guitar is outstanding! And "Party Man" Jack, giving the vibes, making this a great interpretation with a slight note of the 80s

Leland is one of the greatest bass players of all times and deserves more credit and attention. Love him!
I remember thinking Sophia's backing vocals on the Staying Alive cover were so good and how nice it would be to hear her sing lead lol. You guys all deliver such quality it's insane. Thank you everyone!
This is a prime example of the magic of serving the song, making each note purposeful, each individual here is stunningly doing their job. Looking and sounding good uncle Lee
Oh Yeah! What a great performance! What a great arrangement, what a great voice! (Sophia James! This is awesome, I'm speechless) and the Leland on bass! Tamir on drums! And Larry, Ryan and Jack to complete the set. This is like a dream team! This is massive! I get goosebumps listening to this!
Just stumbled across this and i must say that Sophia has an amazing voice as well as vocal range excellent stage presence too particularly as a song builds I'm surprised i haven't heard of her before she obviously doesn't get the attention, she certainly deserves. That's the problem with the music industry today , they'll go for flashy one hit wonders rather then nurture real down to earth talent that's all over the internet, but i digress .She's also backs herself with some very formidable talent great players in there own right. And there's also a reason that some significant players of the day lend their talent to her sound and they don't do it so they shine they do it because they see and hear what most don't ,raw talent. Now that there on my radar i cant wait to hear more from her and she who sits in
something about this lineup is SOOO good, Lee Sklar is part of the magic for sure but its the magic of the group i think. I keep having to listen to this song sooo good
I used to play with a legendary pianist that played exactly like this guy. Chopping those keys just cuz it’s more funky and he’s so good that he can, and it somehow makes everything better. Great jam guys. Such stellar musicianship all around.
This is brilliant. Sophia has so much energy and Lee is doing his magic - I’ve listened to the original, but this cover lifts it to the next level. Love the F minor hook line.
I really loved Charlie Puth's original bassline and was afraid it was going to detract from the song, but Sophia's voice just filled up the gaps and went: HAVE SOME MORE. Fantastic job!
Leland's bass playing is like Steve Gadd's drumming to me, it's like they create/ provide the hooks that pull you in! Listen to his opening riff on Doctor my eyes for just one example
The original is one of my favorite pop songs of the last decade and you guys put a fantastic new spin on it! Scary Pockets always bringing the funk and the fire!!
Sklar's bass and Sophia's vocals = 🔥🔥I listened to the cover first and then checked out the original. I have to say the original sets the tone but this funk cover takes it to the next level. LOOOOOOOVE it!
you guys give every sing that perfect edge. i love all your choices of vocalists. Sophia has such a great sound. congrats to all the ppl behind this production, its fabulous! EDIT: can we have more of Madison Cunningham and Stacey Ryan?

i see Harris on Brazil some yars ago. Great voice!
Having the greatest living bassist on the track and not even mentioning it is an insane flex. Love seeing Leland in the TH-cam era.
{ThisGuyGetsIt.gif} 🤣
I don’t see Clay Gober anywhere.
It really is.
Unbelievable! Love it!
Did you actually know he also makes his own TH-cam video's? For a couple of years already!
Leland sounds incredibly funky and locked in the groove. 😊
Your so right. Dude is so clean in his execution and tone
Master Bass !
Love Leland Sklar!
Never a wrong note, never an unnecessary note.
Well... yeah!?
This channel deserves 10M subs.
It'll get there one day.
It deserves 1.02 M
Sophia is gorgeous and one of the most underrated female vocalists around. I don't understand how she isn't huge.
It seems like there a lot of female vocalists in that situation... is it maybe because the space is saturated, and all the spots are filled?
Wow, what a dream team!!! Leland on bass! Tamir on drums! Larry's funky keys! Sophia's expressive vocals! Ryan's guitar is outstanding! And "Party Man" Jack, giving the vibes, making this a great interpretation with a slight note of the 80s
Leland is one of the greatest bass players of all times and deserves more credit and attention. Love him!
He likes to play it chill, what a dude
he look like he has all the wisdom in the world
Sophia has one of those for which you say “wow… didn’t expect that” such a powerful voice.
guy
Everything about this performance is jaw dropping. Also, Ryan doesn’t get enough credit for always serving the song, not a single note wasted
I remember thinking Sophia's backing vocals on the Staying Alive cover were so good and how nice it would be to hear her sing lead lol. You guys all deliver such quality it's insane. Thank you everyone!
Do yourself the favor and find the Taylor Swift cover that SP and her have already up on yt. It's just great!
Same
I can't tell you how much it makes me happy to see Leland Sklar in these videos. The OG.
Fantastic! I love the way Sofia doesn't hold back but sings good and loud and her voice is clear as a bell no cracking at all.
Sophia is a vocal genius and stunningly beautiful. Lee's a living legend. You can't ask for better.
This is a prime example of the magic of serving the song, making each note purposeful, each individual here is stunningly doing their job. Looking and sounding good uncle Lee
This is nuts. These people have more talent in their left toenail than most mainstream artists.
Sophia's timbre and range is incredible, but what a dream team on this track!
Leland absolutely serving up those funky lines. Beast!
Barzilay and Sklar is a rhythm natch made in heaven. Those silky vocals on top are to die for. 😍

I did NOT expect that thirst trap of a voice 🫢
Silky smooth voice. What a groove.
Everything about this is top tier. Well done all.
Leland's bass playing is like Steve Gadd's drumming to me, it's like they create/ provide the hooks that pull you in! Listen to his opening riff on Doctor my eyes for just one example
The intro has to be the funkiest thing I’ve ever herd!!!!
The original is one of my favorite pop songs of the last decade and you guys put a fantastic new spin on it! Scary Pockets always bringing the funk and the fire!!
