How to Get Limit Breaks Fast and EARLY

  • Either use the Limit Break up to 8 times Or Kill monsters with that character.
    But we are gonna do this super fast.
    What's needed? Enemy Skill Matra Magic, and Enemy Skill Materia. And a lot of people to kill.

    BIG NOTE:
    For anyone who says this only is so fast because of having 3x speed. At best given the speed up, I'd probably looking at about 20? Maybe 30? That's really not a lot. I know it because I've done it.

      Ppl are saying there are faster spots than this at that point (and there are) maybe u feeling its fast cause u literally doing it a 3x speed? lmao like it isnt on ppl, u literally using what its called a speed hack dude, call it what u want, THATS on u.If i go to another spot and use x5 speed, prolly my spot gonna feel faster.Btw use hypers, basic shit...idk.

Millions of years, not being liked could lead to death. Mates as well.. caring kept us alive. Humans who cared survived longer and mated more. Anwyays f people.

    I remember in my very first playthrough back when the game came out. I did not know that i "had" to catch a Chocobo to get past the Midgar Zolom. So i trained a lot. But mostly killed the Monsters without Limit Breaks. And i skipped a few Limits and wondered why. And then i when i was strong enough to beat the Zolom i accidently had the perfect timing to just walk past it XD

    If ON the PS4 remaster not only use 3x speed but use the Infinite HP MP cheat since that cheat is also a FULL LIMIT break cheat at the start of every battle but you can't attempt SOLO runs with that cheat since in the PS4 remaster it revives KILLED party members at the start of the fight hence you must turn that cheat off in order to actually DAMAGE Ruby weapon in the first place since its immune to everything unless you solo it at the start.
    But when first lving in this forest/getting Yuffie in the party at least 1 enemy won't DIE from 1 use of Matra Magic at say like lv 20 you need lv 30+ party members for it to 1 shot both enemy types BUT the Choco Mog summon around lv 15 to 20 WILL still hit both enemy types + Yuffie herself for around 250 damage which is more then enough to kill the Flying monsters via the forest on this video.
    Yes I prefer this forest over FIRST doing the Junon Alarm trick especially on the PS1 version that lacks the God mode infinite HP MP Limit cheat.

    You can get a better setup in the mythril mines. Many of the setups are 3-5 enemies and they don’t attack as often, also preemptive strike is a good idea too. About the 3x that is available for this game is not cheating. PlayStation put those options in there because the loved they game so much and they were glad to incorporate it for the fans of the game. I know this because I watched the developers at Sony and Squaresoft representative when they live-streamed it! It is not cheating! End of story!

      Just equip whoever needs it with a Lightning-All, buy a few tents, and go into the mines, and just cast that spell, and it will one-shot everything, makes the battles only take 5-10 seconds at most, unless you're low level, but you'll quickly get to where you'll one shot everything in there with 1 cast. I like to grind everybody's 2nd limit first, so that everybody needs the 1st limit of the new level, go to the mines, and do each character one by one so I don't have to go back and forth so much. If you want an awesome place to grind the 8 limit breaks to get the 2nd of each category, look no further than Wuhan Island, at the beach. those birds will fill your limit gauge FAST if you have Fury status set. They also give awesome XP, too.

  • @logane1102
    @logane1102 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    An even better spot to do this is later on when you go to cosmo canyon for the first time. In that dungeon you go through with Bugenhagen, there's a random encounter that has like 5 or 6 snake enemies that you can spam Fire2 or any AOE spells on and you'll get your kills as well as ~1000 EXP each time as well. You'll quickly get to the point where you can one shot all of the enemies and once you do the battles will fly by especially if you are playing on one of the modern re-releases with the x3 speed cheat. You can easily get to level 50 if you farm in that dungeon long enough. Just make sure not to fight the boss at the end because once you do the dungeon will be locked for the rest of the game.

    mythril cave is the best, enter from junon side and then head north to the second screen to the next area in the cave, thats because in t area, every fight always guarantee 4 to 5 enemies each fight. if u use speed up hack like seventh heaven app u can get everyone limit in like an hour or two. for limits that requires u to use limit break to unlock them, just equip the weakest pdef and mdef bangle and fight the midgar snake outside the mythril cave in the marshes. make sure to use the item that give the character fury status so ur limit can fill in fast when taking damage.

    my first two gamefiles Yuffie always skipped bloodfest into gauntlet and I didn't know why. but this is actually easily explainable. Yuffie's kill count from going from 1-2 and then 2-3 are actually much much lower than it is for other characters, while she still needs to hit 8 landscapers (same as any other character) to get her 2-2 limit. So if she's in your active party, there's a good chance she'll hit her 'kill requirement' before 8 limit breaks.

  • @frodofranz
    @frodofranz ปีที่แล้ว

    yes, each character needs more or less kills. I believe the least is like 60-80 kills to obtain the new level. Cloud needs 120 kills per new limit level. really that's only 240 kills he needs. Then each limit level second skill is used by how many times, usually whatever the start is clouds limit 1 is like 8 uses, then level 2 is 7 uses then level 3 is 6 uses. each character has their own but basically the same way to obtain their skills. Matra magic is nice but usually doesnt one hit kill right away, I like to use Beta you can get from the midgar zolem, pretty easy way to manipulate the snake even at low levels cloud being level 12 was the lowest i got that skill. ~400 hp you can get the damage of the zolem down to.

  • @Edwinschuur

    I used to skip limit breaks. When you are overleveled enemies hardly get a turn with all materia and a good spell. This way you naturally don't get limitbreaks but will kill enemies.
    25 years later I don't care getting limiet breaks early anymore. The game is so long. Why want all limit breaks at 15 percent of the game and then have none to unlock? Also overleveling now takes out the fun for boss fights.

    It hurts my sense of strategy to see Yuffie in the front row while Cloud and Tifa are in the rear.
    Also, Yuffie's kill count for Landscaper/Gauntlet is in fact 64/128, and yes each character has a different kill count threshold to reach their next limit break level. Since this is the earliest point to recruit Yuffie, this is also the earliest place to grind for her limits, but you would need the other 2 party members to cast a multi-hit spell to weaken enemies first, as when you get to this area you are probably not going to one-shot them if you didn't grind. Yuffie joins the party at +/- a few levels of whatever Cloud is at, maxing out at 42.
    Cloud/Barret/Tifa can all get to LV3 in early Midgar fairly easily in the sector 4 tunnel where there are alot of easy lightning-weak multi-enemy formations if you are willing to spend some time. Aerith maybe at the dilapidated hwy even though it's not optimal just so you can relish her limits before you lose access to them. and Nanaki wait till Mythril cave/the Junon area forest in this vid.

    This spot is a good early grind location for sure for good general encounter rates and with Matra, it does help. I used to abuse this spot myself.
    However your title is a bit misleading because it certainly takes awhile to do this. Firstly, you said you haven’t even gotten to the top of Junon, but your current playtime is at 14 hours. Even playing casually or if you let the game be idle, 14 hours at this point is quite long for an early section.
    Secondly, you’re at levels most people who don’t know overgrind would be around near the temple of the ancients, which is late game disc 1. Also, when you first start out, you will typically be around level 11-12 for most characters. And this grind, with lesser HP is harder, which requires more stopping to heal with magic, more using of items, more backtracking to a location to buy items or to rest.
    It is a great spot to accomplish this, but yeah, it clearly takes a bit of time, and it does cause massive over leveling.

    • @Resobaso
      @Resobaso  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Provided you have the tools I have, it wouldnt take THAT long versus just playing the game and not seeing you third levels till Disc 2. Removing the Speedup booster, and assuming you have Menuing set to Memory, battles wouldn't take long, Matra Magic is fairly strong for this point of the game, Id still imagine you would wipe out the group if not 2/3rds in one shot.
      Important to point out, the process of getting limit breaks is far faster than just playing game. Also, why is overleveling seen as a bad thing? If your goal was to get access to limit breaks as early as possible, you would be well aware that you would be leveling, this seems to be a common trend of comments. You have to kill monsters. You have to spend the time to do so (Killing them, going back forth and so on), whether you do it later and have the levels already, or do it now and gain the levels is irrelevant. No one who is planning on having Omnislash Disc 1 is going to care/be bothered that they are overleveled Id imagine.
      To clarify this was the SECOND spot I realized was effectve for my goals, the first one was actually outside of Midgar believe it or not, I dont have a great answer for the hour counter, 14 hours does seem a tad bit extreme even for my tastes, but this playthrough timer hit 90 hours by the end, sooooooooooooooooooo fuck me if I have a great answer.
      In any case thank you for the comment and feedback, I had been meaning to address this sentiment, and yours was one of the best written ones to it.

    3X speed is absolutely cheating. Grinding is called grinding for a reason. The time involved wears down your resolve, will, concentration, and overall enjoyment of the game. All of these make the game more mentally difficult to beat. Artificially removing that difficulty is, by definition, cheating.
