😂😂😂🤣💀
"I almost forgot to like this video" ahahaha sneaky
The thing about treating each page as its own story has been a massive game-changer for me - thank you for the advice!
Do you have a video explaining emotions and expressions? I want my characters to be very expressive but I don’t quite understand all the expressions that other comic artists use. If you haven’t already can you make a video explaining all the expressions that get used in webtoons and what scenes they would be suitable and unsuitable in?
The ninja doing all kinds of tricks in the air before killing the other character haha, i love it. Really demonstrated the point 😂
I would argue that the last panel being a change of setting is a cliffhanger of sorts, and could lead the reader to turning the page."Oh, we're leaving Starbucks and now we're in the moon! What's going on??"
Right, maybe something like the character walks of starbucks and then we do one small close-up panel of the character crazy wide-eyed and saying "what the heck?!"...now they really want to turn the page.
U gave me a really cool idea thank you teacher
Thank you so much for these videos, always looking forward to seeing the next one!
Your videos are so helpful, I really like your hair!!
Thank you Walter. I wish you more and more success. I really appreciate all your content 🤜🤛
For some reason, TH-cam decided that i didnt want to watch your videos any more... -.-
Anyways, that was very helpfull. I was pretty excited that you did a video on print comics. :D
I usually thumbnail what needs to be in each panel out seperately and then i try to puzzle them together on a page (and change the composition of the panels if needed). Not sure if thats a good way to do it, but it makes it so i dont have to think about the whole page and the individual panels at the same time.
Silly TH-cam! That's a good method if it works for you. I like to visualize the entire page at once, otherwise I feel like I will have to do re-work when I put all the panels together. Actually I prefer thumbnailing an entire episode all at once so I can see all the panels and pages side-by-side. I imagine the entire issue as a single piece of art that needs to work together. I detailed that process out some in this video if you didn't see it yet th-cam.com/video/HES1jVds7BA/w-d-xo.html
@@walterostlie Thanks, that video was really interesting. :) I do rework a lot of panels the way i do it, that is true.
SUPER dense and helpful video, thank you!
thank you so much for all of your videos, I am just starting on my first webtoon, and when I sat down to do the storyboard I was so desperate bc I had no idea where to start. Funnily enough writing the script was the easy part.
I just started my own comic so I'm suuuper glad I found your channel : )
This video is so so good! Thank you very much!
OH MY GOD! WHYY ARE YOU SO UNDERRATED!!! YOU LITERALLY DESERVE SO MUCHH MORE! Thank you so muchhh for the videos they are so informative and easy to understand 💗
Thank you for this video! In addition to the tips, I also appreciate the “sample” pages you put on the screen to illustrate your point, pun not intended. Was that a Godzilla battling Mothra I saw 👀 Also I’ve been doing my best to follow your 180 rule tips religiously since I watched that video haha, thank you for that too!
Super interesting! Adding the comic examples were very helpful :)
thanks, nice clearly explained, good energy. subscribed
A good way to do right stacking is for showing details of a scene where no action is happening, to build anticipation before an action scene or slow the pace after a big action panel the point being the drawings in those stacked panels can be seen in any order without loss of information for the reader. I just think it can be a really cool panel design. Great video anyway, very helpful!
So many good information and tips, great video : )
Thanks!
Great job man
It was really helpful✨ Could you do make a video to explain the new Webtoon thumbnail? I see many artists having issues, including me😅
amazing video as always :)
Glad i found this video ❤
It's helpful omg
I'd love to hear about the non-sequential presumably intentional mind-frell style storytelling mentioned offhand at the end. I can imagine a little how that might work, but not really sure how you might apply it or any actual rules or guides involved, since it's such a rare form of storytelling and intent there's not much to reference from.
Great video!!!
Thank you!
15 straight pages of dialogue line by line with narration give you a easy 64 pages and then some.
Literally missed half of what he said because I can't stop watching that one strand of hair
I think I need a video how to draw the characters
Bro I'm finally early to a video
Bro thank you my teacher gave me a 1 school day comic to make out of nowhere
Do you have any tips on writing 4 panels comics on webtoon? (maybe around 3-5 panels)
How do you do fold outs in Clip Studio Paint? 9:57
“One of the best ways to learn is by failing-unless you’re a doctor-but for artists…
Lol, have my like. That made me chuckle.

Would you, if you have time, do a video on how to promote your comics on limited funds and/or with no social media presence. Aside from posting on webtoons/Tapas and promoting on social media, are there other ways to get your story out there? Thanks as always 🙂
But good video
noot noot
Your hair being in your eye was distracting
How do you think my eye felt about the whole situation?
Ufff his hair disturbed him alot during thw video ;-;
Yea was driving me nuts
Hi walter sorry to bother you but can you check my one episode in my comic? I just want to know if the action scene is quite alright ❤️ thanks its "Retaliation Bullet" by Atsuya
Break the boarder but not to confuse. Use Todd McFarlane as a reference. He did it correctly
Bruh needs to come to terms with his receding hairline
Any artist here wanna collaborate on webtoon ?
please get that hair out of your eye 😭
