I honestly started watching your channel with these walk and talks within the last few weeks, while I was shopping those July deals. I couldn't understand this particular concept of walk and talk.. But I definitely came around real quick, and when you talk your history and retrace your steps in your roots around the town. It is always a story worth telling. Quick question: What is your tolerance level on playing any game on arcade1up, how long have you played on one game, and sessions? I'm 40, having a little issues with endurance with my hands. I’m 44 and it’s hard standing in front of an arcade after a full day of work sometimes and your right you can only handle so much at a time. Usually if I do a beat ‘em up I’m completely done after the game 30-40 min play through and a fast game like NBA Jam or Blitz, Galaga 15 min. Sometimes just a few min gets it out of my system, it helps for me playing online with friends mostly Sunday nights keeps me on longer. It's becoming increasingly frustrating to see a pattern where they continuously release disappointing cabinets, but with the games we genuinely desire. However, they take their sweet time or release multiple variations of the same underwhelming cabinet before finally listening to feedback and creating something that aligns with our expectations. Just when we think they've hit the mark, they hold out a little longer, only to release a new version with that one extra feature we've been asking for all along. And then they expect us to repurchase it, as if this whole cycle isn't getting tiresome. It's disheartening to constantly be led on, thinking we're getting what we truly want, only to receive something that falls short. It's clear that they're trying to keep us hooked and on the edge, knowing our love for arcade systems will drive us to keep purchasing until we finally obtain the perfect one we've been longing for.
I agree James, they have most of us hooked and they are all over the place with form factors. I didn’t see the XL really coming in until late next year, even though they said expect 1 XL this year I didn’t think PAC-Man which totally proves everything will be XL. I’ll still get Time Crisis, but going to do my absolute best to stick with XL after that. It’s disappointing, but down the road we will get our favorite cabs bigger just like your KI Pro :)

But hey, if those Arcade1Up geniuses decide to surprise us next year with an XXL line, I might just lose my mind! Can't help but laugh at the thought, though. 😆
I HAD a plan to use my 20 percent discount at Target to pick up the Pac-Man Deluxe.....now that's out of the question with the release of the XL. Oh well. Just have to pick something else up that I want. Another great walk n talk!

I’m happy with my deluxe MK2 and class of 81. Don’t think I would upgrade them at this point . Sold both my legacy cabinets to get the same in the Deluxe. I’d prefer a whole new cabinet over the re released old titles . Thanks for the awesome posts

Pimping out the same pcbs into multiple form factors has become their go to move. Really tired tactic at this point. I hope they're investing in new pcbs behind the scenes to begin to release more demanding titles.

Great video, man. I am especially excited about the pac XL because it isn’t just a bigger cab but it’s also going to just about as tall and hopefully also as wide as an original Pac cab. If memory serves, the old G pac is about 68 inches tall and 24 inches wide, so, with this XL edition, 1up seems to be truly bringing the arcade experience home with this one! Minus the depth, it should be very close in size to the original.
If I knew with 100% certainty that 1Up was releasing XL only cabs moving forward then I’d buy XL only cabs. But will 1Up ever admit to rereleasing cabs as XL or newer cabs moving forward? 🤔
I don’t believe they’ll ever admit and I’m sure they’ll always throw curve balls are way, but in time we could end up with a pretty solid XL lineup at home :) Thanks for watching Vic 👊
I think Arcade1up is shooting themselves in the foot releasing the Pac-Man XL cabinet so soon after the Deluxe version. Why should anyone buy a Deluxe when they could get an XL for $100 more? Now they'll probably release XL versions of Mortal Kombat II and Class of '81 and I'll have to sell my Deluxe at a loss if I want to upgrade. Whoever's in charge of decision making at Arcade1up needs to be replaced.
Lol I thought the same thing last night when I was standing next to Pacmania, but I have a different approach today. I pray to God to give me what I need to get through the day as well as what I need to accomplish things that are really important. I wish the heat wasn't so intense right now, but at least I got it under control inside the house. lol I'm not looking forward to doing the cleanup of my '03 Pontiac Grand Prix GT which I have engine parts all over the place. But I need to work on my '75 Firebird/Trans Am clone get her running again so I can move her to get my 2000 GTP underneath to start tearing out the top of the engine to do the head gaskets and such. Hi Phil and Lucky. Arcade1up makes one step forward and two steps back. New XL Pacman is a great step forward, its what the cabinets need to be going forward, every title in this form factor with BOE's. Arcade1up should make a Skins Game XL, its a great Golf Game, An Incredible Technologies partnership for another XL that has Power Putt, Silver Strike, Target Toss Pro, these games are from 2008, they can be emulated on a newer RockChip, call it a Pro, it would be a great deal at 899. Got my free Game Pack from Atgames for being LPO, Data East Pack 1, 27 Games for $25, thats the Model iiRcade should have used, alot of games for a great price, these totally screwed up, glad they went out of Biz, our iiRcades are now going to be GlenOcades!

That’s exactly why iircade isn’t around anymore, but there are some great things coming for our iircades :) Give us the bigger cabs to go along with 4k ALU’s :)
I likely won't be getting the XL version of the cabinets, mainly because they would look out of place, next to all the 3/4 scale ones. I've even moved the Legends Ultimate into a room of it's own, for that reason. Now, if I ever get a bit more space cleaned out in there, maybe I'll pick up the Pac-man XL, but for now, I'll just hold with what I have, and that's why I went with the Deluxe versions of Pac-man, and Class of 81. Kind of wish A1up had waited a couple of years before releasing the XL of Pac-man.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with our 3/4 or Deluxe and yes the ALU is huge :) I think they’re going to attract more of an audience with 4 different form factors and that will be a good thing for us :)
@@PDX7 This is very true. I think it's important that A1up will be bringing full sized cabinets to market. It will give us the ability, for those with enough room, to really recreate the arcade experience. :)
owning two A1U i wanted a bigger cabinet because it’s sturdier, no riser, impressive to look at, more room for players. but problem is the packaging will be much heavier
It’s a sad state of affairs when cabinets from 2021 are considered outdated. Only in the arcade community does one fall for their marketing ploy. No one in their right mind is replacing their tv or cars after 2 years. Unless it’s a new license stop falling for their tactics. It’s the same games people
It’s the addiction man :) these bigger cabs are just something else, when I stand in front of GT XL it just feels so much different. I felt the same way seeing Shaq Jam at ABT Electronics earlier this month. There’s options for all of us, wait for incredible deals on remaining inventory, go Deluxe or get nuts at buy up XL :)
@@PDX7 each to their own but that addiction to some is real. Especially with so many limited options of newer licenses coming out some need that fix of adding something new, unless you are just starting your gameroom and have options like this available or are 6”3 or taller I just can’t get behind that upgrade, I’d rather spend that money elsewhere in my game room but again each to their own.
I was just talking with the real Zimm and it hit me, I don’t know if they’re trying to get us to upgrade they’re giving us 4 different options: risers, riserless, deluxe and XL. We could have a variety at home or stick with the same look. Some people need risers and some like Retro85 don’t want risers, I felt last night like A1up is building this fomo but now I really think they’re trying to please everyone and maybe this is their new image.
@@PDX7 you want my honest opinion of what they are doing. It’s called surviving. If they were to release the next top 10 games most people want they would go through their heavy hitters in 3-4 years then what? No one is buying C and D tier games after for their game rooms due to budget and space. So they are recreating licenses they have in new formats so they can make profit on those who are starting their game rooms now and get them hooked. Eventually they will buy more they are also suckering others to upgrade. That’s where they make their killing. Meanwhile those 10 licenses we all want will be sprinkled in over the next decade, it’s actually smart from their point of view not so much to us who are already invested. I just wish they would redo a Golden Axe or an XMen or Frogger something that hasn’t been done 5 times already.
Great point man, it’s the only way they stay in business and we need them too :) At least liquidate X-Men, GA and Frogger at this point turn they can lure us back with XL’s

They are going to do this to us all over again lol I’m waiting for the right time to buy Shaq it will drop and I’ll let everyone know when it’s on sale I’ve been watching! I have GT XL and just standing in front of it is totally different than any of my others. I know PacMan isn’t what we were thinking, but the size alone is tempting :)
Great video Phil. While I’m happy for fans of Pac-Man, I struggle to understand why they’d release a new XL version within four months of the Deluxe. I feel bad for consumers who bought the Deluxe and now want the XL. In addition, I fear that the two are going to cannibalize the sales of one another. Who knows. I hope it works out for everyone and Arcade1Up.

Yeah, regarding the deluxe’s, prior to this video, I noticed deluxe cabinets were being sold on Wayfair. Very interesting that they are no longer Best Buy exclusive
I want a deluxe but only if the price goes down at least another $100. I am anticipating some price cuts around the Holidays, especially with an XL out there.
When you get up to 5,000 subs, I say we all fly out and have a group walk and talk in person once a year. Lol 😂😅 I don't know how I feel about the XL. I think its perfect, but what am I to do with 10 I have ? Some of which have been modded. It's a lot of work to sell and replace each one, especially when you live out in the country.

I agree with you regarding the size of the cabs. We do want the bigger cabs to give us the real feel of nostalgia. I’ll wait for the PacMan cab in September now that I know it is coming. I’ll eventually get the other 2 Deluxe cabs they have out currently. If bigger cabs come out for whatever I have currently that has a riser, I’ll definitely switch it out. Personally I want Arcade 1up to put out new deluxe cans of games they have yet to release. They would be a big seller being they are different and new. Just my opinion
I’m switching out too Doug, you have a really good point any Deluxe from here on out should be brand new like F&F, TC. Since XL are in works save repeats for that and Classic peasant versions. I’m still going to get TC, but really considering PAC-Man XL swapping out with my Class of 81. Isn’t it crazy we get something new to talk about weekly:)
I was guessing the xl was going to be street fighter which i wasnt thrilled about but this is way worse at least with every sf cab they throw in a different game lineup. So much wasted potential with this xl cab , Big buck would of been an ideal choice as it needs the bigger size or even turtles or T2 but yet we get another pacman reshash with the same art as the deluxe smh!!! My brother is in a pickle now, he has an old mk2 legacy w/o online he was pretty certain he was getting the deluxe as it would be a strict upgrade. He kind of wants a mk with mk3 art which we figure would be next year seeing as though the 30th came and now a deluxe 2 but thats all speculation. Now we're worried that an xl maybe coming we could wait but the problem is how long will the wait be they dont tell us anything. If an Mk xl isnt coming out for a few years it isnt worth the wait !!! awesome vid man.
I think we see an XL MK next year so when Deluxe drops this fall it’s a good time to buy. I’m confident we will see a Turtles XL soon, they could literally throw anything at us. What a jungle of different machines ...thats really insane. I've got the first MK from Arcade 1Up a few years ago and last week I purchased a Atari Legacy for about 420€ - that is a great price here in Germany. Now I see the Deluxe cabinets with the better monitors and feel that I made a bad decision to buy that Legacy one . You are lucky ones with your discounts ... The Arcade 1Up prices here are 599€, 699€ and 799€ and they're not going that much down when a new improved cabinet is released, maybe 50€ off .

I recently sold 3 arcades to make room for new releases, I’m with you I purchased prior Legacy cabs that I had to sell too. You always have that option it will soften the blow of that new cab price, they are a lot of money this hobby is crazy expensive:)
Overall the Atari Legacy cab is a nice one, maybe I will go on with that and add a Dell 1715S monitor like mentioned from another fan . The Atari 50th Anniversary Deluxe is not available in Germany so far . When we get the Atari and MK deluxe cabs, you guys will buy the XL versions in the US ^^
@@PDX7 For sure, the Atari 50th is promising, but did you recognize the epic joystick fail like the MK2 cab had that as well ? It seems Arcade 1Up tries hard to make at least one great mistake, when they design a new cab - it's just mind bobbling . Hope the Galaga Deluxe cab will come fast to Europe 🖤
Yes the Galaga Deluxe is definitely the one to get in my opinion especially over class of 81, 2 additional games. The joysticks are a lot tighter since we bought those Legacy cabs too.
I think we will see a few different XL’s in the next year, trust your gut if you can’t pass on a sale take it and even though a XL could come out wait for it to go down too :)
I’m in love with the Deluxe form and will be replacing all of the older models with risers with the Deluxe cabs. So far I got Mk2, class of 81, soon to get the NBA Jam.
I love the Deluxe too, next year if XL are coming out more maybe I upgrade but I’m tossing around NBA Jam deluxe too. Between deluxe and Shaq, deciding soon.
I believe that A1Up will eventually come with the Pro versions of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man with at least 20 games and a 23 inch BOE monitor. They will milk that license!
If I hadn't bought the deluxe this year I would have gotten the XL Pac-man, especially if it'd just $100 more. However, I don't feel the need to upgrade for myself. I would upgrade my cabs with risers to XL, though.
I would too HungrywolfGarou, but I think they’re just giving us all big or small options for what we want at home. We have new looks for classic peasant versions, new Deluxe coming TC, Big Buck and NBA Jam and now ab XL every couple of months. This is their image going forward I think!
@@PDX7 I have that anniversary Masterverse He-man. It's a great figure. Most of my MOTU figures right now are from the Origins line, but I've been getting some of the Masterverse New Eternia stuff.
I must’ve bought about 25 arcade one ups I’m down to about 15 I don’t own any deluxe, but I do own the KI Pro. I bought and sold three Pac-Man's and three Mortal Kombat and now I made up my mind. I'm only buying one more Mortal Kombat and one more PAC-MAN and they have to be either the pro or a very good deluxe because that would be it for me. The last cabinet I bought was Star Wars and I got it right before Christmas and I still didn't put it together yet, nothing else was interesting this year maybe that new gun game can't think of the name of hand but that is probably the only one I'm interested in. It's silly to buy and sell the same ones every time they come out with a little bit of an improvement. and to be honest, most of my arcades very rarely get played. I myself find myself playing the PlayStation five the Xbox or the switch . I play my iircade the most tho out of all the stand ups. Really they just make good ambience
What do you think about picking up PacMan XL? Are you thinking Time Crisis or Big Buck Deluxe, I’m on board for Time Crisis. I just got the buy stuff mod for my Star Wars going to add 220 games to it, let me know what you think after I get a video out of it interests you into adding to yours. It’s a great looking cab you’ll love it when you decide to put it together. I’m with you though ambience is a big reason for me too, just having them and looking at them is something to admire. Iircade is meant to get a lot of playing out of same with ALU and that’s why I went with mod for Star Wars.

Hi Garasky, The XL is going to be a little wider and taller than a Deluxe. Also the monitors in Deluxe are 17” in an XL 19” and the marquee will be a little bigger too. Deluxe are a really good look and really resemble an actual arcade machine, but XL is the closest to the real thing we can get. Thank you for watching 👊
They are both all in one piece (no riser), they both have the molded coin doors, cap screw covers, light up marquees, and speaker covers. The XL has all the all the same features as the Deluxe BUT it has a 19" monitor instead of the 17" on the Deluxe, the coin door lights up, the buttons light up, and is around 3-4" wider for the XL. Some XL cabs are also noticeably taller compared to the Deluxe.
After seeing this I am holding out on MK deluxe or pretty much anything. I’m fine with the $600 price point for a XL. I don’t care as much about a pro.
@@PDX7 the price point and what you get with the pro just doesn’t seem worth it to me in most cases. It just depends on what each cabinet is worth to you. I never thought the old cabs were worth full price, deluxe were on point until this happened. I think $599 is reasonable for xl. I avoid real arcades because of the price point and the amount of work they require to maintain.
I avoid real too because I don’t want to have to work on them :) I like the $599 for XL if something like KI was the same I’d buy it. The Pro at the end of the day is just an XL with a stool, sign and mat. I do think XL, Deluxe and risers can all be in the same room together they’re just giving us different options.
@PDX7 I don't really know enough about Time Crisis yet to say anything one way or another, but I do know I am at least waiting for a big sale. Not a must have for me, and I would have to clear out something else to make it fit.

Nope, 3/4 all the way for me. XL would look dumb next to all my 3/4 scale. I'll never switch to xl. Arcade 1up business model of 3/4 is what dragged us in.
I worry that Shaq Jam would over power NFL Blitz for that same reason. I do have GT, but in a different room. I really want to see this cab in person, hopefully I see one at Costco soon. Thanks for watching 👊

"Good... Release the XL"
Lol! I was wondering why other retailers got Deluxe now we know and expect to see those $399 soon.
It's becoming increasingly frustrating to see a pattern where they continuously release disappointing cabinets, but with the games we genuinely desire. However, they take their sweet time or release multiple variations of the same underwhelming cabinet before finally listening to feedback and creating something that aligns with our expectations. Just when we think they've hit the mark, they hold out a little longer, only to release a new version with that one extra feature we've been asking for all along. And then they expect us to repurchase it, as if this whole cycle isn't getting tiresome. It's disheartening to constantly be led on, thinking we're getting what we truly want, only to receive something that falls short. It's clear that they're trying to keep us hooked and on the edge, knowing our love for arcade systems will drive us to keep purchasing until we finally obtain the perfect one we've been longing for.
I agree James, they have most of us hooked and they are all over the place with form factors. I didn’t see the XL really coming in until late next year, even though they said expect 1 XL this year I didn’t think PAC-Man which totally proves everything will be XL. I’ll still get Time Crisis, but going to do my absolute best to stick with XL after that. It’s disappointing, but down the road we will get our favorite cabs bigger just like your KI Pro :)

I’m happy with my deluxe MK2 and class of 81. Don’t think I would upgrade them at this point . Sold both my legacy cabinets to get the same in the Deluxe. I’d prefer a whole new cabinet over the re released old titles . Thanks for the awesome posts

Pimping out the same pcbs into multiple form factors has become their go to move. Really tired tactic at this point. I hope they're investing in new pcbs behind the scenes to begin to release more demanding titles.

Great video, man. I am especially excited about the pac XL because it isn’t just a bigger cab but it’s also going to just about as tall and hopefully also as wide as an original Pac cab. If memory serves, the old G pac is about 68 inches tall and 24 inches wide, so, with this XL edition, 1up seems to be truly bringing the arcade experience home with this one! Minus the depth, it should be very close in size to the original.

If I knew with 100% certainty that 1Up was releasing XL only cabs moving forward then I’d buy XL only cabs. But will 1Up ever admit to rereleasing cabs as XL or newer cabs moving forward? 🤔

I think Arcade1up is shooting themselves in the foot releasing the Pac-Man XL cabinet so soon after the Deluxe version. Why should anyone buy a Deluxe when they could get an XL for $100 more? Now they'll probably release XL versions of Mortal Kombat II and Class of '81 and I'll have to sell my Deluxe at a loss if I want to upgrade. Whoever's in charge of decision making at Arcade1up needs to be replaced.
Lol I thought the same thing last night when I was standing next to Pacmania, but I have a different approach today. I pray to God to give me what I need to get through the day as well as what I need to accomplish things that are really important. I wish the heat wasn't so intense right now, but at least I got it under control inside the house. lol I'm not looking forward to doing the cleanup of my '03 Pontiac Grand Prix GT which I have engine parts all over the place. But I need to work on my '75 Firebird/Trans Am clone get her running again so I can move her to get my 2000 GTP underneath to start tearing out the top of the engine to do the head gaskets and such. Hi Phil and Lucky. Arcade1up makes one step forward and two steps back. New XL Pacman is a great step forward, its what the cabinets need to be going forward, every title in this form factor with BOE's. Arcade1up should make a Skins Game XL, its a great Golf Game, An Incredible Technologies partnership for another XL that has Power Putt, Silver Strike, Target Toss Pro, these games are from 2008, they can be emulated on a newer RockChip, call it a Pro, it would be a great deal at 899.
Got my free Game Pack from Atgames for being LPO, Data East Pack 1, 27 Games for $25, thats the Model iiRcade should have used, alot of games for a great price, these totally screwed up, glad they went out of Biz, our iiRcades are now going to be GlenOcades!

I likely won't be getting the XL version of the cabinets, mainly because they would look out of place, next to all the 3/4 scale ones. I've even moved the Legends Ultimate into a room of it's own, for that reason. Now, if I ever get a bit more space cleaned out in there, maybe I'll pick up the Pac-man XL, but for now, I'll just hold with what I have, and that's why I went with the Deluxe versions of Pac-man, and Class of 81. Kind of wish A1up had waited a couple of years before releasing the XL of Pac-man.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with our 3/4 or Deluxe and yes the ALU is huge :) I think they’re going to attract more of an audience with 4 different form factors and that will be a good thing for us :)
@@PDX7 This is very true. I think it's important that A1up will be bringing full sized cabinets to market. It will give us the ability, for those with enough room, to really recreate the arcade experience. :)

owning two A1U i wanted a bigger cabinet because it’s sturdier, no riser, impressive to look at, more room for players. but problem is the packaging will be much heavier

It’s a sad state of affairs when cabinets from 2021 are considered outdated. Only in the arcade community does one fall for their marketing ploy. No one in their right mind is replacing their tv or cars after 2 years. Unless it’s a new license stop falling for their tactics. It’s the same games people
It’s the addiction man :) these bigger cabs are just something else, when I stand in front of GT XL it just feels so much different. I felt the same way seeing Shaq Jam at ABT Electronics earlier this month. There’s options for all of us, wait for incredible deals on remaining inventory, go Deluxe or get nuts at buy up XL :)
@@PDX7 each to their own but that addiction to some is real. Especially with so many limited options of newer licenses coming out some need that fix of adding something new, unless you are just starting your gameroom and have options like this available or are 6”3 or taller I just can’t get behind that upgrade, I’d rather spend that money elsewhere in my game room but again each to their own.
I was just talking with the real Zimm and it hit me, I don’t know if they’re trying to get us to upgrade they’re giving us 4 different options: risers, riserless, deluxe and XL. We could have a variety at home or stick with the same look. Some people need risers and some like Retro85 don’t want risers, I felt last night like A1up is building this fomo but now I really think they’re trying to please everyone and maybe this is their new image.
@@PDX7 you want my honest opinion of what they are doing. It’s called surviving. If they were to release the next top 10 games most people want they would go through their heavy hitters in 3-4 years then what? No one is buying C and D tier games after for their game rooms due to budget and space. So they are recreating licenses they have in new formats so they can make profit on those who are starting their game rooms now and get them hooked. Eventually they will buy more they are also suckering others to upgrade. That’s where they make their killing. Meanwhile those 10 licenses we all want will be sprinkled in over the next decade, it’s actually smart from their point of view not so much to us who are already invested. I just wish they would redo a Golden Axe or an XMen or Frogger something that hasn’t been done 5 times already.
Great point man, it’s the only way they stay in business and we need them too :) At least liquidate X-Men, GA and Frogger at this point turn they can lure us back with XL’s

They are going to do this to us all over again lol I’m waiting for the right time to buy Shaq it will drop and I’ll let everyone know when it’s on sale I’ve been watching! I have GT XL and just standing in front of it is totally different than any of my others. I know PacMan isn’t what we were thinking, but the size alone is tempting :)
Great video Phil. While I’m happy for fans of Pac-Man, I struggle to understand why they’d release a new XL version within four months of the Deluxe. I feel bad for consumers who bought the Deluxe and now want the XL. In addition, I fear that the two are going to cannibalize the sales of one another. Who knows. I hope it works out for everyone and Arcade1Up.

Yeah, regarding the deluxe’s, prior to this video, I noticed deluxe cabinets were being sold on Wayfair. Very interesting that they are no longer Best Buy exclusive
It’s gotta be the XL’s and maybe Best Buy will be only retailer we can physically grab one that day.
I want a deluxe but only if the price goes down at least another $100. I am anticipating some price cuts around the Holidays, especially with an XL out there.

When you get up to 5,000 subs, I say we all fly out and have a group walk and talk in person once a year. Lol 😂😅 I don't know how I feel about the XL. I think its perfect, but what am I to do with 10 I have ? Some of which have been modded. It's a lot of work to sell and replace each one, especially when you live out in the country.

I agree with you regarding the size of the cabs. We do want the bigger cabs to give us the real feel of nostalgia. I’ll wait for the PacMan cab in September now that I know it is coming. I’ll eventually get the other 2 Deluxe cabs they have out currently. If bigger cabs come out for whatever I have currently that has a riser, I’ll definitely switch it out. Personally I want Arcade 1up to put out new deluxe cans of games they have yet to release. They would be a big seller being they are different and new. Just my opinion
I’m switching out too Doug, you have a really good point any Deluxe from here on out should be brand new like F&F, TC. Since XL are in works save repeats for that and Classic peasant versions. I’m still going to get TC, but really considering PAC-Man XL swapping out with my Class of 81. Isn’t it crazy we get something new to talk about weekly:)
I was guessing the xl was going to be street fighter which i wasnt thrilled about but this is way worse at least with every sf cab they throw in a different game lineup.
So much wasted potential with this xl cab , Big buck would of been an ideal choice as it needs the bigger size or even turtles or T2 but yet we get another pacman reshash with the same art as the deluxe smh!!!
My brother is in a pickle now, he has an old mk2 legacy w/o online he was pretty certain he was getting the deluxe as it would be a strict upgrade. He kind of wants a mk with mk3 art which we figure would be next year seeing as though the 30th came and now a deluxe 2 but thats all speculation. Now we're worried that an xl maybe coming we could wait but the problem is how long will the wait be they dont tell us anything. If an Mk xl isnt coming out for a few years it isnt worth the wait !!! awesome vid man.

I am 100% for XLs, but for a game like this.... i think the deluxe will be fine espesselly if you get a great deal. 🤞in 2024 we see quite a few XLs.

I've got the first MK from Arcade 1Up a few years ago and last week I purchased a Atari Legacy for about 420€ - that is a great price here in Germany.
Now I see the Deluxe cabinets with the better monitors and feel that I made a bad decision to buy that Legacy one .
You are lucky ones with your discounts ...
The Arcade 1Up prices here are 599€, 699€ and 799€ and they're not going that much down when a new improved cabinet is released, maybe 50€ off .

I recently sold 3 arcades to make room for new releases, I’m with you I purchased prior Legacy cabs that I had to sell too. You always have that option it will soften the blow of that new cab price, they are a lot of money this hobby is crazy expensive:)
Overall the Atari Legacy cab is a nice one, maybe I will go on with that and add a Dell 1715S monitor like mentioned from another fan .
The Atari 50th Anniversary Deluxe is not available in Germany so far .
When we get the Atari and MK deluxe cabs, you guys will buy the XL versions in the US ^^

It seems Arcade 1Up tries hard to make at least one great mistake, when they design a new cab - it's just mind bobbling .

Yes the Galaga Deluxe is definitely the one to get in my opinion especially over class of 81, 2 additional games. The joysticks are a lot tighter since we bought those Legacy cabs too.
I feel like the Street Fighter XL is right around the corner. The Deluxe version is selling for $299 everywhere right now..
I think we will see a few different XL’s in the next year, trust your gut if you can’t pass on a sale take it and even though a XL could come out wait for it to go down too :)
I’m in love with the Deluxe form and will be replacing all of the older models with risers with the Deluxe cabs. So far I got Mk2, class of 81, soon to get the NBA Jam.
I love the Deluxe too, next year if XL are coming out more maybe I upgrade but I’m tossing around NBA Jam deluxe too. Between deluxe and Shaq, deciding soon.

I believe that A1Up will eventually come with the Pro versions of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man with at least 20 games and a 23 inch BOE monitor. They will milk that license!

If I hadn't bought the deluxe this year I would have gotten the XL Pac-man, especially if it'd just $100 more. However, I don't feel the need to upgrade for myself. I would upgrade my cabs with risers to XL, though.
I would too HungrywolfGarou, but I think they’re just giving us all big or small options for what we want at home. We have new looks for classic peasant versions, new Deluxe coming TC, Big Buck and NBA Jam and now ab XL every couple of months. This is their image going forward I think!

I must’ve bought about 25 arcade one ups I’m down to about 15 I don’t own any deluxe, but I do own the KI Pro. I bought and sold three Pac-Man's and three Mortal Kombat and now I made up my mind. I'm only buying one more Mortal Kombat and one more PAC-MAN and they have to be either the pro or a very good deluxe because that would be it for me. The last cabinet I bought was Star Wars and I got it right before Christmas and I still didn't put it together yet, nothing else was interesting this year maybe that new gun game can't think of the name of hand but that is probably the only one I'm interested in. It's silly to buy and sell the same ones every time they come out with a little bit of an improvement. and to be honest, most of my arcades very rarely get played. I myself find myself playing the PlayStation five the Xbox or the switch . I play my iircade the most tho out of all the stand ups. Really they just make good ambience
What do you think about picking up PacMan XL? Are you thinking Time Crisis or Big Buck Deluxe, I’m on board for Time Crisis. I just got the buy stuff mod for my Star Wars going to add 220 games to it, let me know what you think after I get a video out of it interests you into adding to yours. It’s a great looking cab you’ll love it when you decide to put it together. I’m with you though ambience is a big reason for me too, just having them and looking at them is something to admire. Iircade is meant to get a lot of playing out of same with ALU and that’s why I went with mod for Star Wars.

Hi Garasky, The XL is going to be a little wider and taller than a Deluxe. Also the monitors in Deluxe are 17” in an XL 19” and the marquee will be a little bigger too. Deluxe are a really good look and really resemble an actual arcade machine, but XL is the closest to the real thing we can get. Thank you for watching 👊

They are both all in one piece (no riser), they both have the molded coin doors, cap screw covers, light up marquees, and speaker covers.
The XL has all the all the same features as the Deluxe BUT it has a 19" monitor instead of the 17" on the Deluxe, the coin door lights up, the buttons light up, and is around 3-4" wider for the XL. Some XL cabs are also noticeably taller compared to the Deluxe.

After seeing this I am holding out on MK deluxe or pretty much anything. I’m fine with the $600 price point for a XL. I don’t care as much about a pro.
I don’t either, I’m happy with a XL. But if KI Pro dropped who knows I might upgrade
@@PDX7 the price point and what you get with the pro just doesn’t seem worth it to me in most cases. It just depends on what each cabinet is worth to you. I never thought the old cabs were worth full price, deluxe were on point until this happened. I think $599 is reasonable for xl. I avoid real arcades because of the price point and the amount of work they require to maintain.
I avoid real too because I don’t want to have to work on them :) I like the $599 for XL if something like KI was the same I’d buy it. The Pro at the end of the day is just an XL with a stool, sign and mat. I do think XL, Deluxe and risers can all be in the same room together they’re just giving us different options.

Only Delux worth getting is F&F. The rest we have seen before and we will see more of in the future. Buck Hunter delux is a waste too.
What about Time Crisis Excaidus? This could be the last Deluxe I pickup.
@PDX7 I don't really know enough about Time Crisis yet to say anything one way or another, but I do know I am at least waiting for a big sale. Not a must have for me, and I would have to clear out something else to make it fit.

Nope, 3/4 all the way for me. XL would look dumb next to all my 3/4 scale. I'll never switch to xl. Arcade 1up business model of 3/4 is what dragged us in.
I worry that Shaq Jam would over power NFL Blitz for that same reason. I do have GT, but in a different room. I really want to see this cab in person, hopefully I see one at Costco soon. Thanks for watching 👊
