Great informational video. I have the tx-22 compact, the issue I've been having is the mag throwing a loaded bullet up and getting stove piped. 8 haven't takin it out since I cleaned and polished it so I'll see I guess

Nice video. I just got one equipped with the red dot. Not many videos speaking to the Riteon. Have the full size and competition and the only issues I’ve had with either is shooting the cheap white box Winchester ammo. Everything else is flawless. This one had less but still a few issues with the white box. Taurus has a fiber optic tandemkross front site for about 20 I’d recommend. I’m going to have this in the car or in a pocket which means the red dot is always going to be on so I took it off and put it on the competition which only goes to the range. Pretty decent, just wish it had a manual off button.

That red dot is horrible during night. I sold it and bought gowuta a17 green dot that coats same, has manual on kf button, shake awake and 10 brightness adjustable senntinga

How bad is it though? Around here I can get the tx22 for 340.....or the tx22 with Riton red dot for 20 bucks more.......seems like a win to get it with the Riton

Good video and review. The weight shown in your scale is 1.04 lbs with a mag in, and .97 lbs with it out. That’s basically an ounce less than the full size TX22, which I wonder if it’s not actually lighter than that, but whatever. It’s light. They’re both light. Real light.

I like my Taurus TX22 Compact but the red dot that came on it really sucks. The red dot would stay in zero mode, so I went to Holosun 507X, 2X's and I have a light on mine. Great set up on mine. Once zeroed on the Holosun at 25 yards, it's pretty accurate. The magazine spring gets really weak after a short period of time.

I have a number of 22lr semi-autos and this new Taurus 22 Compact is my most dependable and accurate. Among the others just barely behind it are its big brother the TX22, the Smith and Wesson M&P22 Compact, and the Ruger SR 22. I think all four of these handguns are outstanding.

Excellent video. This looks like a great choice for what I want to spend. Sidenote, I think the weight you described wasn't exactly right. Isn't that .95 and 1.04 pounds? That would be 15.2 ounces and 16.64 ounces respectively whereas one pound 4 ounces is actually 20 ounces total.

Was not my intention to offend.
I’ve been watching TH-cam gun reviews religiously for about three years now, and It seam like 98 -99% are all “ great gun ran 100,1000 or 5000 rounds with no problems.
I know most of the guntubers out there are trying to make a livening, and Bad reviews don’t get you sponsored.
There are regular people out here using some of this information to try and make a purchase with out getting burned. We all know you can’t try it before you buy it most of the time. The odds just seem high on all the perfect guns out there and when a purchase is made in real life its just OK if we are lucky.
Thank for your reply and once again hope I did not offend.
Some times I get carried away.

I’ve got two Taurus .357/.38 revolvers, and they are flawless. I have a G3C and my brother has two G2Cs and they all run pretty good once they’re past break in. Regular ball ammo runs pretty much flawless although some of the gimmicky tricky stuff is a little finicky - the feed ramps aren’t factory mirror polished which might be at issue. I expect the TX22 to eat range ammo like a champ and that is mostly what I got it for although with 16 rds and zero recoil, and as light as it is, I can and will CCW it while I’m mountain biking and I can sting anything I need to as bad as it wants it. Ain’t no bears or cougars where I’m riding.

      Lol 😂
Posts a clearly offensive comment, then says "it was not my intention to offend".
I mean, I'm all for offending people who deserve it, but c'mon, don't blow smoke about not intending to offend. What a sales pitch.
