We spent the last 60 years fighting over ethnicity. "Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani, Northerner, Southerner, etc" - but we spent almost no time planning economic development. Aren't we tired? When will we sit down to develop our country? And if we know we will never get along, let us divide this damn country once and for all and let us have peace.

For me, so far, Igbos have been supporting the Yorubas while for the major part, Yorubas have done the opposite to us. It's time we Igbos leave the Yorubas to themselves and forget about the so called southern Nigeria and leave everyone to their own nemesis. There is a reason why the Yorubas are called the treacherous tribe in Nigeria, and they have been making that clear but we kept ignoring it. For many years now Lagos is no longer a capital but still remain the financial hub with the ports. The Yorubas are very accommodating allowing their brothers to settle peacefully even though Lagos is no longer capital. The Igbos are now claiming that Lagos is no mans land where by disrespecting their host. They did this in South Africa, Ghana, Kenya etc. Please my Igbo family learn to respect your host so that they can live in harmony with you. All buildings demolished in Lagos must be compensated. The Igbos in Lagos in 1966 were not very many and they managed to return home during the British war on Biafra land between 67 and 70 and today they're all confused as to the roads leading to their ancestors houses. Please kill your poor spirit of domination, respect and live peacefully with your other ethnic brothers and sisters. Refrain from aggression because you're a long way from your ancestors home. Seaport or international airport will not solve it . Enugu has an international airport . Kano has international airport without a seaport , yet Kano develops faster than all five Southeastern states together. The issue beyond lack of infrastructure. Southeast is the only region in Nigeria where the richest black man in the world does not have a cement factory. If a particular region can be so complex and frustrating for the richest black man in the world then what chance does an average non-Igbo have?

Only Lagos Island, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, and Apapa Port were used as Nigeria's FCT from 1914 to 1991. The mainland was Lagos state; since 1991, the FCT has been Abuja, yet Igbo and other Nigerians have overpopulated Lagos. The Igbo should return to the SE and develop Igboland, as is happening in Abia state. I am fed up with the victim-bashing

Lagos State, which was not part of Western Nigeria (capital Ibadan), remains Nigeria's commercial capital free for every law-abiding Nigerian to live in. Envy is part of human nature.
