The guest is talking from both side of his mouth. If he said they should allow the institution of the state to work and he agreed that the 27 former law makers have lost their seat due to their defection. The right thing to do is for him to encourage the president and the federal anthorny general to encourage INEC to conduct election to fill the vacant seat not blaming the remaining valid members for doing their legitimate role. The national assembly has no role to play in the present circumstances.

The best interests of Rivers State citizens in general override other interests such federal, individuals or groups. Where the federal government’s interests do not align with the common interests of Rivers State citizens such interests are not acceptable to Rivers People. Given that there is an elected governor serving Rivers State citizens it’s imperative that all hands must be on deck to support him to succeed. The initial decision or effort of the president of the federation is mistaken and wrong because he acted ultra vires and that is, he had no constitutional authority to back up his initial political solutions. Importantly, given his political interests in Rivers and biases, his decision at that time amounted to irrationality or unreasonableness, legally speaking because his decision at that failed the Wednesbury reasonableness test. Hence, we are where we are currently because somebody feels emboldened to causes political distractions and chaos in the state, these inconveniences against the present administration of the state are not acceptable. Those causing problems in the state should realise that poverty and hunger are major causes of death in our communities. In these circumstances the best interests of Rivers State citizens remain paramount and the governor must be allowed to deal with the basic needs of the people. Currently demonstrations and protests must be checked and controlled in order to prevent violence on the streets of our communities. The sponsorship and organising of violence on the streets of our communities is not acceptable and should not be allowed in any form or shape. Rivers State citizens must pull together to maintain peace, law and order in the state. The governor must be allowed to govern just like his predecessors enjoyed the support of the people without external interferences.

Don't say what you do not know Fubara did not say anything of such. The rule of law should prevail. What happens when someone defects to another party and what happens when the tenure of LG chairmen expires. All what we are saying in Rivers state is the constitution should be adhered to.
