Would you be so kind to reveal your secrets? I'm building my first F40, and am so inspired by your work that I'd appreciate any info you'd be willing to share. Your work is 2nd to none!
I'd love to know how you wrapped the back of the seats with the gold kevlar. I've ruined almost a whole sheet because I keep ripping it. This stuff is so thin!
@@gtziaf Thank you so much! Very helpful. Unfortunately spoiler snapped on mine while polishing so needed to cut it off and use a spare scrap kit spoiler now as replacement.
@@gtziaf You're welcome George. Its great to have such skilled people like you here on TH-cam to learn the finer details of modeling from. Do you do your own window masking ? If so, how do you get around the corners while maintaining a uniform thickness & position on the window??
@@garethmurphy8235 No, I use masks from F40 shell edition. If I want to make my own masks, I mark the limits with a pencil and then, I cut them with a sharp knife. Thanks again for your support.
For the wheels, I made a hole to the nut and I added a pin from Top Studio's Assorted details for MotoGP bikes (TD23027). In particular, I use part 'V' from this set to make this one. Hope it helps
Yessss... I built the F40 within the 959, during an 80's tribute. Here the 959 WIP slideshow: th-cam.com/video/MyCw6VEdW7A/w-d-xo.html and this is the double build, in our Greek forum: www.scalewheels-gr.com/thread/1982/ighties-ferrari-f40-porsche-959
@Ludwig Krepuszewsky for the speedometer, I use some drops of clear, applied with a fine brush. In fact, I use an additional set for a filler cap, which I bought during the build. Otherwise, there is nothing special, maybe some hose ends, bolts, emblems etc, from my spare box and some scratch build parts in many places. If you notice something, which need explanation for it, I am happy to help. Thanks for oyur comment...
Stunning work❤❤
That's an awesome build Geo. Loved the workmanship and your video.
Very very very nice car and beautifull job 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹👌👍
I love the open trunk on the Ferrari f 40 that opens that's nice
Really nice finish, well done! This looks nicer than the Revell version which I made on my channel.
Amazing work, thanks for sharing!
Just wow!😲👍
Oh my, this is an astonishing work! Wow, just beautiful, this is over Kyosho level. Fantastic :-)
Kind regards.
George, exellent as always!
Thank you, my friend...
Άλλη μία υποδειγματική κατασκευή!!!

Thank you, Jason. Modeling is made for fun so it is a pleasure to share my ideas with other mates. I hope to add more videos soon...
@@gtziaf how were you able to give the exhaust and supporting systems that "used" look? It's as if the car was run through its paces at Nurburgring!

@@jaysmachone you can see an alternative technique for this, in my new video : th-cam.com/video/sFOhR2W67J4/w-d-xo.html
excellent… well done..!
Beautiful build!!!
What material did you use to cover the exhaust?
Hello, Manuel and thank you for your comment. The exhaust cover comes with Studio27 detail set. Also, some metal foil tape used.
@@gtziaf Thanks!!
Amazing job! How did you glue the spoiler together in the end, what glue did you use?
Hello and thank you. As I remember, I use white glue.
@@gtziaf Thank you so much! Very helpful. Unfortunately spoiler snapped on mine while polishing so needed to cut it off and use a spare scrap kit spoiler now as replacement.
Amazing George. You might be the best on you tube... What do you use for the window tinting?
Thank you!. I use Alclad's black base primer or MRP matt black.

This is by far the best F40 build i found on youtube. Amazing. What size of nuts do you used @1:58 on the rear suspension? Thanks!
I also want to ask, how do you made the splint pin on the center nuts of the wheels? There´s a black ring and the pin on the nut.
Hello and thank you for your feedback. I used 0.8 nuts from Meng's plastic set.
For the wheels, I made a hole to the nut and I added a pin from Top Studio's Assorted details for MotoGP bikes (TD23027). In particular, I use part 'V' from this set to make this one. Hope it helps
I own this sealed kit. Are you in the US? How much to assemble my kit?
No, unfortunately, I live in Greece. I have sent built models to USA. If you are interested write to me via this e-mail: gtziaf.modelling@gmail.com
