Excellent video! I love the clean/smooth paint job. The F40 is my favorite Ferrari so thank you for building it up! Would love to see more great builds in the future.
The first time I've seen the finished car, I thought it was real but then I realized it was the car you made. I’m impressed with the precision and details!
This is amazing! I've made a lot of models when I was a kid but never put in the kind of attention to detail like this. And it's clearly worth it for the results, great work!!
My only favorite Ferrari. I'm all about Porsches, but the F40 is a true masterpiece of functionality bare of useless gizmos and fluff... Pure objective is speed and handling, but at the same time a driveable every day car on the streets if you so inclined. Beautiful perfection. 👌
Very nice car but only thing ferrari in it is the engine that is designed in 1970s. Body designed by Pininfarina made by Dallarra. German gearbox if im not mistaken. Japanese turbos, US made intercoolers and so on.
watching this video after seeing one of those fake restoration videos, so many comments praising their attention to detail when it doesnt even come close to this is very frustrating. I understand that there are different levels of skill but channels like this that really put in incredible effort deserve more recognition than the clickbaity "restoration" ones

Yup. Aids, no cell phones, no internet, ozone layer actively getting destroyed, cancer causing chemicals everywhere, tuberculosis rampant, higher crime rates, open bigotry and hate crimes towards gay people, being a woman was kinda crap, people dying of preventable and curable diseases at an alarming rate, dont forget starvation and malaria epidemics in africa, apartheid, cold war, and dont forget it was still kind of new for black people to be able to drink out of the same water fountains as white people, and women were barely able to own property and vote. But yeah man, most certainly *everything* was better!
it is good that you didn't use clearcoat on this car since the ferarri does not have a seperate clearcoat. The Rosso Corsa and the clear lacquer were painted in one layer as a mix. also the original paint was very thin just in order to save weight of the car!
4:50Nice to meet you. If you are going to paint red in the end, it is better to paint silver first. The color will be better and you can save time and effort.
Some colours are wrong, like the wheel centre nut, it's not gold, the wheels are also silver, not grey with chrome lips and speed line stickers. The dash should be flocked as it's covered in marine carpet. The tub is cleared carbon kevlar and has green sikaflex joining.
Awesome build! Did you have to do any correction to the fit of the rear clam shell on your kit? If so, some advice will be much appreciated. Learnt soo much from your videos, thank you!

Nice job! Love how you replaced the mesh on the back with real mesh, but why the prancing horse on there? The F40 doesn’t have the prancing horse on the back, just the writing Ferrari?
Nice work, bud! I'd love to see you build a 2nd model in stock standard form, with no real effort, to highlight the difference all your hard work made.
I would have used a metal screen, and painted the interior floor with it to simulate carbon fiber, but the amount of work, and detail on this is phenomenal.
Ferrari in the 90s did not use carbon fiber yet in their road cars, the countach used cf but it was painted, the Zonda was the 1st road car that used the cf extensively, Horacio when he worked with the countach suggested to lambo to get an autoclave because cf was gonna be the next big thing, but lambo said even Ferrari doesn't have one yet, so Horacio decided to get an autoclave and started pagani automobile
@@pihermoso11 Have you seen the floor of an F40? I stare at one every weekend during aesthetic maintenance. It is exposed carbon fiber. Stock they come with no carpet, most owners put one when they go driving.

Very nice. It's worth it to pay for better brand models like Tamiya. Recently, I did the first model I've done in years. It was a Revell, and after being very careful and detail-oriented, when I got to the final assembly I found the main sections, doors and other parts would NOT align 100% correctly, no matter what finessing I did.
Looks so fun, I really want to get into this hobby. But I don’t have an airbrush to paint. I’ve been building gunpla for years and only did small hand paints.
You can try it with spray can paint I suggest to use Tamiya. The result is almost the same as using airbrush but maybe a bit more difficult to control paint volume. Hope you enjoy it!
