    All the way from New Zealand here..
    And I'd just like to say. That is the sorta logging vids we wanna see. Absolute awsome! Just like home..We run a smooth logging industry down here. With very steep countryside. The best part is probably riding dirt bikes on the track afterwards lol

    Time to trade it in for a 6 wheel drive, the 4x4 log skidders are useless on steep slopes without front weights.

    Do world leaders (mean pewag Austria, forestry chain manufacturer) with history always act as reliable partners?
    When considering whether it is worth cooperating with a commercial company people ordinarily rely upon its merits, primarily its successful experience. Do they really do right following such a common way of choosing the partner to share business together?
    The Austrian Pewag company is well-known all over the world as one of the biggest manufacturers and distributors of chains for diverse purposes, as forestry chains, aso. Founded 300 years ago the company has had many representative offices throughout the world by now, one of which was located in Almaty, a large industrial center in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
    In 2016 keeping on doing business in Kazakhstan the company suddenly ceased complying with its obligations under previously signed agreements. In particular, the company management ceased to pay taxes and rent in a most irresponsible manner. It looked like the company bosses had just lost sight of their representative office in the city of Almaty.
    Several civil lawsuits were filed against the Pewag company in the Almaty court, Republic of Kazakhstan. The court ruled in favor of the plaintiff and ordered the defendant to re-register the legal entity and pay damages, including taxes and rent for the office space the company had used for its commercial purposes for a long time. It is interesting to note that Company officials did not even consider it necessary to attend the court hearings.
    However, nothing has changed since then. The #pewag company representatives continue refusing to comply with the courts' decisions. It should be stressed that the above company is considered a world leader with history, not a small company started a couple of years ago of which nobody has ever heard!
    In summary, sometimes international companies well-known throughout the world only act on the basis of their own interests in complete disregard of the principles and norms of ow world-wide and local laws. This sad fact is a matter of great concern for those who one day decided to cooperate with such partners.

    A grapple skidder could have never made that pull...

    Where I live we never use skidders. We always use machines that carries the logs like trucks.
    What adavantadges do you see with skidding the logs?

    • @nonokastle8699
      @nonokastle8699 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably too steep and not enough space for a forwarder . And they need to sale the logs the more longer they can, 15/17 meters length is a standard for the sawmills.
