Logging Truck DIFFICULTY ON ICE ROAD !!! Grumier en difficulté sur une très mauvaise piste gelée en descente au bord d'un ravin , impossible de prendre le virage , le Timberjack retient le VOLVO et le maintien sur la piste , bravo a Franck qui a le cœur bien accroché et qui était de deux doigts de verser , merci a Jerome son sauveur !!!

7:38 perigo à vista. Corajosos motoristas e condutores dessas máquinas excepcionais. Eu dirigiria essa máquina VOLVO FH 520 em rodovias normais. Nesse lugar aí, certamente eu deixaria para outro mais habilidoso que eu no volantão do VOLVO FH 520. Máquina sensacional esse VOLVO FH 520.

La realidad es la que se vee no siempre es la potencia del camion sino la pericia del conductor desde un comiezo empezó haciendo la maniobra equivocada y luego termino como se ve aca en ARGENTINA VOLVO FH 520 ES EL SEÑOR. Trabajamos en condiciones extremas y el volvo siempre sale a flote sin ayuda de tractor alguno.

This , anyway beautiful and good truck , is not suitable for these roads, especially if it is a 6x2! So, the driver should act properly. And he didn't.

I think he may have the diff lock on for some reason (maybe it didn't disengage on the downhill🤷♂️). If that was the case, then it's practically impossible to do a tight turn.

@@garethifan1034 it's obvious that this truck wasn't built for this condition just look at the Turning circle of the vehicle look at the tires. Any Lumber hauling truck should have tires that prevent skidding and sliding
@@thediscussionclub1675 unless you're suggesting fitting tractor tyres to it I don't think any truck tyres would make any difference here..I don't know what kind of truck you think would be more suitable here - maybe a 6x4 of sorts possibly, but that is only going to increase its tendency to oversteer anyways - so maybe not..

Interesting - I see that a skidder is available so why not tow the Volvo .
Also not sure if it is a 6x2 it 6x4 nevertheless 6x4 would be better in these situations .
Also I do not see any European off road trucks with CTI ( Central Tyre Inflation) as it makes a huge difference in off road logging trucks.

и вообще машину толкать нельзя когда она гружённая ,можно так и коробку сломать ,так как диапазон оборотов не совпадает коробкой и колёс и тд и соответсвенно вал на коробке будет изнашиваться

Here it is clear that the designers of this Volvo did not think or could not count. The rear of the truck is so overloaded that the front wheels are unable to turn. There would also be a suitable front-wheel drive.

This happens because a suitable truck is used for the terrain conditions. Here what should be used is trucks with all-wheel drive and with specific tires for off-road and oversized. I don't know who is responsible for choosing this truck for this activity, but it is clear that he has no idea what he does.

Non. Ce camion n'a tout simplement pas de traction avant. C'était probablement trop difficile pour Volvo.

It probably is a 6x4..difficult to tell. They wouldn;t necesarily chain up both drives..having said that, 6x2 is the preferred option on Europe
@@garethifan1034 If you watch the other video with this truck (the one with snow) there you can see clearly it's a 6x2 bogie.
@@DieselExpress Yes..you are quite right it is a 6x2. It'd be brave taking a 6x6 there..never mind a 6x2. Still, as in Europe, trucks have to be very adaptable and turn their hand to all manner of jobs. Regards
