i use smart rifle as a defence weapon pretty much. clip size and as much reload as i can reasonably get and not much fire rate (if it fires too fast the knockback doesnt stack nicely). very cool when you go for turret DPS and mining/move speed playstyle where you just juke enemies by running through the walls constantly. turrets can get placed over a wall on the other side and smart rifle shoots over the walls. kills a decent amount of stuff before it gets to me, and when something is running after me through a tunnel it just gets permanently knocked back
you choose the worst map for that weapon btw because walls just get destroyed way too fast. and you cant really take advantage of the fact that this weapon is basically aimbot with wallhack. its actually insane on hollow bough. if you know where to stand to screw up enemy pathing you can pretty much afk there after you are done with mining and supplies.
If you think about clip size in terms of reload (bigger clip=less reloading) the clip size overclock is pretty much like 80% reload speed. fire rate can also be related to reload because the faster you dump the clip the faster you need to reload again. you dump 25% faster and you reload 25% faster, so its pretty much flat 25% DPS boost. in conclusion clip size always better EXCEPT when you have insane amount of reload speed already. if you went for too much reload speed upgrades you will essentially get diminishing returns from picking the clip size overclock
It always feels good when those "small" games get such well made upgrades, compared to some triple A titles which seems the only purpose is to scam the players.
Some friendly feedback, love your stuff but please try to stick with the original plan, I feel like it would have been a lot more interesting if you actually prioritized the smart rifle instead of leveling the warthog as much as you did. Thanks for the awesome content 👏
I get what you are saying and I actually did do just that for a good while (some weeks ago) and then I got a ton of comments about "bad choices" because I focused too much on that one weapon ignoring everything else. It's impossible to please everyone xD I am trying to strike a balance which is kind of where I am at now
You kept adding "Fire Rate" to your Smart rifle....but you had long ago reached a fire rate that was greater than your "Clip Size"......you should have taken the Clip Size upgrade during the FireRate-or-ClipSize OverClock. You were already at a higher Fire Rate than ClipSize even at tha point.
That's not how you calculate this. Nothing says your firerate is limited to the clip size, which would be 1 second for a clip, how it actually works is the clip gets emptied based on the fire rate and then reloads (Doesn't fire for that reload period), what you need to calculate is the effective fire rate based on the clip size divided by fire rate + the reload speed and then divide the clip size by this number again to get how many shots you actually have per second. Say you have a fire rate of 10, clip size of 4 and reload speed of 2. 4 divided by 10 gives us 0.4 seconds to shoot the whole clip, then we reload for 2 seconds, so 2.4 seconds for a full clip of 4, which we then divide the clip size by that number to get the effective shots per second: 1.6 repeating, or 1.67 with two single decimals. Then knowing this we can calculate what would be better between increasing the clip size vs increasing reload speed and fire rate. Or what is better between reload speed and fire rate, or in case of DPS we can also calculate is damage would be better rather than fire rate or clip size, etc.
Smart rifle is taking out a lot of bugs behind walls you haven't even encountered yet. Thinning out the enemy before they can touch you.
It was decimating the rolys
That mocap at the end crushed those bosses.
They must have increased the chance to get golden lootbugs. You also had crazy luck in the electric run

Blessed run cursed choices should be title
I got a golden loot bug on my first run after the patch. I'm pretty sure they increased the spawn chance.

11:00 Was about to say. The Morkite sounded really satisfying!
The most blessed run ever! Magnet on every level, 2 golden loot bugs and a hooli hoarder! Insane
What a GREAT run. I'd wager they made luck affect golden loot bugs chance.
Can't wait to see a run where you pick the extended mags
I did a smart rile run this morning...definitely cracked and I had the same regret not getting the clip size but it worked out in the end anyway.
I half expected you to get two golden loot bugs on the same level 🤣
That's what makes it the "smart rifle". It knows where all the gold loot bugs are.
The higher level the rock the better chance of getting gold/nitra if you have a scanner.
that double clip size would of had that near 50k i bet
Holy shit smart rifle, I think the 100% clip size would be good?
Yoooo try out the explosive its absokutely NUTS. Especially with the mining train holy shiiiiiiit

@@idlecub Haha damn I can only imagine, can't be easy. You're doing an awesome job either way, keep up the good work ❤️
The gun solves problems with insects :)
This was the weapon I was most interested in with the new patch.
Would be great to see it WITHOUT all the god-tier luck boosting it a "little". 😆
why do you mine nitro and gold on final stage. Is it not pointless?
Yay...... Finally the smart rifle is actually smart.
High luck = more golden loot bugs!
Your game must of been "loot-bugged"
