It is always relative to what the other choices are. I usually take some pickup range when decent quality (blue and up, never really more than 100 total). As for xp gain, I feel like it seems better than it is most of the time. 1. Early game you are missing out on another upgrade right there, that could make you decently stronger right now instead. Being stronger right now helps you farm mobs at the end of the stage easier/ for longer and make more xp that way. 2. You basically need to gain 2 extra levels to actually "profit" from xp up. I did some "rough math" and ended up with 9% xp gain not being worth it anymore (as in at all, not even considering the potential other upgrades) for me personally, at around mid 30s level.
You're saying why does it have so much damage. I think that's because it's split between the enemies in the beam. So the high number on the sheet is divided out and doesnt end up as that much per enemy unless you can get only one in the beam at a time.
Does narrowing the beam affect potency or just direct damage? If it doesn't also increase the application of burn stacks on those fewer targets, it seems that would only benefit direct damage focused wave cooker builds at the cost of spreading far less stacks of burn around on everything, including boss if you're moving around.
i'd say wave cooker is as good as before. it could win runs pre-patch and it does same this patch. The weapon that has so far surprised more then any other weapon is Fire-tactical lead buster. this weapon is nuts right now. I had a run where i did 20,000 burn damage with triple split and fire on strong-arm driller. If you combine it with wavecooker freeze, it might be strongest build this patch but it is rng based.
Havent played halls but it's a bit more interactive than VS because of the mining. With VS I always just ended up standing still killing everything halfway through the level. It's a bit more RNG because of the rarities though.
Well, fun is subjective. I enjoy this one more than either of those personally because of the "flow" of the game with having to balance killing and mining here. On the other hand, the biggest downside for now compared to the other 2 games is limited content. This is still somewhat early in development so while you might get 100+ hours from the others, I think this one is more like 40 hours or so if I had to guess. Devs are still actively working on major updates though, so it will only get better.
Focus lens is always a grief! Losing 2/3 of weapon width for a miniscule range gain which ANY beam range upgrade grants : actually awful. Same level of grief as turret stack overloads.
You "grieffed" yourself by taking the narrow beam since the build is relying on applying burn stacks and not direct damage, a wider beam would have applied burn stacks to more enemies simultaneously.
Why did you intentionally dodge the Morkite in 4/5 it starts at 29:58 and at 30:10 "all this Morkite?, anything else here?, NOPE!" you passed 3 nodes with 3 left for the quest and you could have done it without bug interference... Be honest, you're rage baiting us for more comments and engagement... Not cool bro... i still gave you a like.
Don't you just love it when the game griefs you? Last Haz5 I played as the Strongarm amd just after finishing off the stage 4 bosses my axes returned from off screen and deposited an explody boi at my feet - and I had 78hp. 😆😭 The game before that I had a black line (a crack) hidden under the rocks that didn't show on the map and ended THAT run early. Such fun!! 🫠
4:57 the wife cooker is indeed really strong!!
It's legit "Wife cooker" no matter how you try to put it xD
He didn't finish the Morkite quest AGAIN. He can't keep getting away with it !!!!
hahaha TRUE!!
I was gonna say the same thing! haha
He seen it and even commented on it. Only conclusion we can make is it was a choice and he just didn't want the gold. Consider it a flex?
He didn’t want those 3 Morkite anyways

@@luciusmori5878 At the time, he had already completed his build, so he didn't even need the gold.

I was so confused by it. "That's just some morkite over there." But, but, but you didn't finish it yet?

Yay! The Wife Cooker build.
man the 17/20 morkite in stage 4 is killing me, how am i supposed to sleep now
You missed the morkite quest in level 4
Almost a perfect run. Only if he didn't miss stage 4 quest.
30:00 That flex when the build is done and we skip the Morkite quest cuz we just don't need it anymore.
I have noticed that you rarely take pickup range and never take xp gain. Is there a calculation behind that choice? Are they really so not worth it?

Someone had to ask this : Why no complete morkite quest on stage 4? Trying to peeve us?
I must have legit thought I had already completed it given how I actively avoided mining it when standing right next to it lol

Nice run, try out the Vortex boomerang with 1 hander. Pretty sick with max reload
recorded that some days ago, video coming tomorrow actually :D was sick
killed the dreadnought on hazard 5 before he even could jump with m1000 mega crit build :D
It is far better to take the over lock that expands the beam
when I try to do same build as you I mostly die epicly and give up
I counted 10 seconds on the duration of the wave cooker.

Wife cooker 💀
Poor wife
Why don't you just show the runs where you actually get the weapon you want?
Because he does an entire intro, who'd want to do that multiple times?
Triggering everyone's ocd, one block at a time
Bigger Cogs?
