A very tasty smoothie in the morning is Granny Smith Apples + Arugula + Walnuts + a bit of Ginger. Tastes great, is quick, and allows intake of a lot of superfoods at once. The arugula and walnuts reduce sugar intake from the apples, and the high fat content of walnuts delivers satiety.
I find blending Arugula heightens the bitter notes even when sweetened with fruits like apples. Never quite enjoyed Arugula smoothies on that basis even when I tried to but I'm glad it works well for you, T T

I use avocado when making guacamole. Avocado, spring onion, red onion, tomato, boiled egg, juice of one lime, low fat mayonnaise, seasoning. All chopped up and present on a slice of seeded bread toast. Delicious

I to enjoy peanut butter with my apple 🍎. I love fruit of ALL kinds and whenever I eat fruit I do try to eat a protein with it to slow down sugar absorbing. Avocado 🥑..they are good alone or with other foods. It's a healthy fat😊. I love Avocado and black olives.
I have blueberries every day along with apples,bananas,dates,watermelon in season,lemons,grapefruit,oranges. Nuts:walnuts,almonds,brazils,a small amount of high oleic peanut butter,hummus twice daily.Occasional avacado.Fats are 9 calories per gram so limit these. (as part of whole food plant based diet)
I love folks who love their fruits. Keep it up, buddy. It's amazing what the keto folks are missing out on. They run away from Nature's candy when they should be soaking it up
I can’t eat apples or pears due to Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I am whole food plant based, no salt, oil or sugar for years (over 10) and I love fruit but despite losing 60 pounds a few years ago and being of normal weight I still have belly fat. The only time I haven’t had any is when I went down to 98 pounds over 30 years ago. It was stress-related and I can say I did not feel well at that weight. But, I had a flat stomach for the only time in my adult life.
I used aloe Vera juice (60ml) each morning 30 minutes before food and I no longer suffer from irritable bowel disease. Love all these fruits and no pain or other ill effects.
I'm in the UK and used shop brands which were not effective. I was advised to use Forever Living Aloe Vera which was great. Try to find something that's 99% aloe, not mostly water. Hope that helps. 🙏🏽🙂

Thanks , living in the tropics avocados are seasonal, and just finishing. They are full of good fats. Unfortunately i cannot get any berries and they do not import them but melons and occasionally green apples.can be bought. Organic peanut butter i use but all the other nut butters are not available either. I shall press on and follow your helpful videos. Thanks.
The carbs in the fruits do get converted to simple sugars eventually following digestion but that doesn't mean you should not use fruits in your smoothies. I add fruits to all of my smoothies but I also have vegetables in the smoothies too. The presence of the vegetables ensures sugar absorption is slowed down preventing sugar spikes
For me, I can consume apples in any form except fresh so I always put a good quality peanut butter never thought of nut butter well done. I do miss watermelon thou. I use avocado all the time. On my Pinterest board I have one devoted to the avocado!

Thanks Dr Joe for this wonderful tips. I will do the first 4 fruits except watermelon because of the sugar content. And I believe Avocado will help lose some fat. For the peanut butter, I am told peanut increases bad cholesterol. Don’t know how true that statement is so I rarely eat peanut.
@@maryakpoyibo8557 And another thing. Peanut as a nut or legume by itself will not raise your cholesterol. It is what is added to it in the butter form that may cause that problem. Added ingredients like the refined sugar I alluded to earlier on and stuffs like palm oil which is frequently added to foods. You can make your own peanut butter by the way

The most important thing is losing visceral fat - the internal fat. If you lose that, you are good to go

There are peanut butters and there are peanut butters. Always use peanut butter without added sugar. And don't overdo it when you eat it
