Thanks for making this. I loved this video and have saved it to my 'Inspiration' playlist. I particularly liked seeing the work of Austin Leong, whose work I've never come across before.
Thanks for the video. Before the M6, I have owned and used Canon, Minolta, Contax, Fuji, and Argus rangefinder cameras. The Leica M6 is my personal favorite 35mm rangefinder camera. I shoot my M6 with the following lenses: 35mm f/1.4 Zeiss 90mm f/2 Leitz 21mm f/1.4 Leitz
Y D M6? It’s awesome! Love the comment about “Hank” Henry Wessel. He’s soooo underrated I love his work. So cool to hear another photographer appreciate his work.
Why not the Canon VT Deluxe?🌟🌟 The Canon VT Deluxe with the Voightländer 21mmf4 Color Skopar MC ltm is my favorite everyday knock around black and white film camera. Throw in a roll of Ilford FP4, a few more into my Domke F803 (and a Canon 50 f1.8 just in case) and I'm good to go.
Why the M6? Well at the time there was no M7 which is far superior as well as the MP which is the Goat. Film should be forbidden in our days, chemical and shit. I shot decades on film, M. More than happy with digital. I guess it comes down to you need to know a second component very well, which is post. These stupid talk of what digital is and what it isn’t. No one has ever forced me to take more exposure then I would on film. My monitor is off and I don’t even know how LV works, but I shot digital M from the first day of the M8 and that has really inspired me the last 16 years digital M. #filmmakesnosense 😂
What about the toxic sludge that some kids had to dig out of the ground to produce the electrical components and batteries in your digital camera. And you think film should be banned? Let’s talk about the environmental impact of charging your batteries every day or running the computers that you need to see your images, or producing the hard drives to store your data on. Makings things worse, you “computer” with a lens will be obsolete and leaching its toxic chemicals into back into some poor river before the fully mechanical M6 even needs its first service.

Thanks for watching! Really happy to hear you enjoyed it. Austin is one of the best Bay Area based photographers!

5:53 cant he see the old guy on the bus hiding his face trying not to be photographed? smh
❤️🔥
6:06 missed one
If you need to ask, “Why the M6” ? Then you should stick to your point and shoot !
...because you have money
To be fair, the same amount of money they spent on this camera is equivalent to what they spent on their sonys or canons.
Buy nice or buy twice
M7 better I feel

The MP is not a smelly barnyard animal, nor is it Getting Old And Tiresome. It is the Zenith of Leica.
Digital is for fun
Film is forever 🌿📷
