Thank you for the reminders of praying for my enemies....
My heart like Saul's, is dark, but your teaching is what I want, peace.
I will add my enemies to my prayer list today. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

I just don’t want to think of my enemies or people that hurt me. This may sound bad but I’d rather pray for those I love or who are in need. But I realize I’m just gona have to add people who hurt me to my pray list as well 😕

I pray for God to bless, have mercy/grace everyone who pops into my head.
We can't control what pops into our minds but we can control our behavior at any given moment...I pray that prayer OFTEN!

YHWH please deal with the root of my problems and lighten my heart, open my eyes and restore the love so that I may carry out my actions towards others according to your way of loving me, with such Grace, Mercy and Joy. In Yeoshua's name and Holy Spirit I pray. AMEN!!

Pastor you are truly being used by God what you said about we cannot do it in our own ability but have to give it to God is key because I feel that God created us in a way that we feel the offenses against us deeply and it’s hard to forgive because we feel this pain deeply in our hearts so only he can really help in this situation with his supernatural power.

God is slower to anger and very patient always, he gives us time to repent. Otherwise King Saul could have be taken of throne in a second...the legacy of Jesus Christ is love indeed!

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (August 4), 1 Samuel 19:1-7, along with 1 Samuel 18:1-5, was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "A Covenant between Friends." The hymn, "Will You Come and Follow Me," written by John L. Bell, is a good hymn to compliment these Scriptures, regardless of denomination.

I just want to tell you I had a full circle moment, my journey started January 2019 and I asked a question that had to do with this in 1 Corinthians 13 and you told me about this and Saul and I didn’t get it, but here now January 2020 it hits me!! Wow just wow! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your amazing teachings. I have gotten so much out of 1 Samuel this time around because of your teaching. I usually avoid the old testament but made a commitment to go through each chapter. So glad I found your teachings.

I thank you for this message. I would ask for prayer as I put this into practice. I know you are right.. I need to pray for this person who has intentionally hurt me. I also know, as you say, that he is broken.. due to years of selfish living and no relationship with The Lord. I do have a question though. How do you pray for a soul you believe has been in bondage to addictions and quite possibly even needs to be delivered from demons that keep him in those chains?

Isn't it insane how Saul's delusion all started from unrepentant sin. It turned him into an angry, bitter, scared, prideful, and murderous maniac.

Matthew 5:44 is straight from the horses mouth .... we need to take this seriously. I have learnt that praying blessing on people who hurt you frees me.

    Re Ch 18:20 & 19:13
Perhaps when the King gave his daughter to David in marriage, what he knew about her, was that she was worshipping false idols and thought this would become David's downfall, that she would lead him astray from God.
