This was 5 years ago. All of this was dimashs arrangement. Here he had been a producer for several years and found sos and sung it at fifteen. He’s in his doctorate here. You’re not going to get what Dimash is doing here from any teacher. Yes they were great teachers thru his years of vocal and performance arts and in strumental training. Dimashs vocall coach would not let him use falsetto asis thrown through out this song at dimashs whim or for his artistic taste in the genre of popopera.Therers pop rock opera and belting that could even have come from metal.the Astana opera had a place for dimash but dimash went this route. Can’t you see how he uses his own choices of all the register, the vibrato at his choice and where. In my gospel singing years you would not have use vibrato so freely as probably dimashs classical contemporary and opera and aria singing used. Sure you can find artist with range. But look at this character of a person at 22 yrs old using so many genres in one song. People may be doing this after Dimash did as the vocal coaches in the thousands on you tube have criticed this performance and sent their students to learn from Dimash. He has broke; so many rules and techniques within the art of singing. Artist aren’t supposed to stay in the upper ranges of soprano and metso soprano but in many of his performances he does without a care. Sure they’re analyzing his vibrato but in Passione they are analyzing his trebello that the woodwind instruments, saxophone and Hammond B3 organs uses with a switch in the fan of the cabinet turning the trebello off and on. How in the world does a voice creat trebello. Also he does throat singing in sinful passion that sound like a repeating rifle used in eastern funerals in lamentation of the dead. What is the pop world to do with a voice like this a maestro vocalist. But I promise you this Dimash was everything you saw and heard in this production or collabed. He had completed his masters. Wikipedia has his career as started at 2 years old when his opera singing parents put him on stage.

Dimash is famous all over the world, he is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time! He won’t sign a contract with the west though, thank goodness, since he wants control of his music. He wants to be able to sing Opera or any other genre (he does all) whenever he wants!
This specific performance earned him millions of fans (600 million views) in China. His digital CD a few weeks later went triple platinum really fast. But he has a bunch of support in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Russia, including a major composer/producer who came out of retirement to write and arrange songs for Dimash and organize the venues. @@Alexal_PT It can't be very comfortable living in a former USSR region with Russia re-acquiring old USSR territories. People in Kazakhstan have been reclaiming their language and culture, which had been suppressed during the occupation. Russia has been doing the old USSR tricks, like invading an area, shipping natives out, shipping Russian people in, and then holding elections for joining. That's really just voting with a rifle pointed at your head. NOT free elections. Dimash has been very involved in reclaiming the Kazakhstan identity. Many of his songs are in Kazakh. He uses some of the national symbols in his videos. He has been using some ethnic Kazakh music techniques and instruments in his songs. Realize that Kazakhstan has been independent all of Dimash's life. So he never knew the occupation. But he has seen the country working itself out of Russo-centrism and taking back their identity. I'm guessing the main strain is asserting their unique identity while not giving Russia an excuse to re-invade. I hadn't heard of any major Kazakhstan statements on the war issue. I don't really expect any. So they are technically neutral at the moment. Even Dimash's One Sky song/video is more about war in general, not a particular war or a particular side. I haven't heard Dimash align with or condemn the Russian invasion, but I don't really follow him for social commentary, just music. I don't know his favorite food, clothing brand or Kardashian. I'm not 13. So I don't know whether he has offended anyone on the subject. I gather a lot of people are looking for a chance to be offended about any one's opinions on the Russia-Ukraine front. Trying to not offend a lot of people on that topic means largely not talking about it, which is effectively offensive censorship, since there is no real high ground in that mess, just different levels of low ground. No one has the right to be deeply offended because someone else "misunderstands" the situation. The direct practical problem is that Igor Krutoy, one of Dimash's most productive music allies, is Russian and Ukrainian. That must be really complicated right now for both of them. I suppose a few brainwashed Russian citizens may be influenced to avoid Dimash, but they have been through a lot. The average Russian citizen is pretty jaded and doesn't trust the government's Pravda. I doubt any of the millions of Dimash fans in China care about a singer's opinions on the war. I'm also guessing that the Ukraine based music festivals are on hold. Travel near southern Russia can't be very good or very safe. So local area music engagements are pretty well squashed. War is not good for the live music business, big surprise.

Welcome to Dimash and yes he has a huge career, getting bigger everyday. He is becoming known around the world. He just did a huge stadium concert in his native Kazakhstan and will be in Malaysia in Nov. The Pandemic slowed his concerts but right before the shut down he did a sold out concert in New York at the Barclays and has concerts in Russian, Ukraine, Germany, England, etc. The composer who works with Diana, works constantly with Dimash as well and you will see many collaborations with the two of them. Keep in mind, this performance was in 2017 when he was 22. Now 28, he has only gotten better although that is hard to believe I know. He just released a very very intense but important MV called , The Story of One Sky. He composed the music, and the story, and did the acting which is incredible. It is a stance on war and it is in English. With Dimash, you may need to filter the videos because of copyright and blocks by You Tube. It is worth the filter to see the music he produces because there is no one in the world like him. Please be sure to go to his official You Tube channel where he actually will post his concerts a bit after they occur. Since he sings in so many languages, you will see fans from all over the world watching your reactions.

This was 2017 and this was his breakout moment. This video blew up overnight and he had to be assigned body guards. Trust me, hes earned it. He is 28. Hes been in formal music education and training since age 5. He still trains 3 hrs a day with a trainer. He has multiple degrees in music. He is currently working on his PHD in Musicology. He sings 7 octaves in 13 language and plays 8 instruments. He sings in multiple genres from pop to opera but he considers what he sings is neo-classical. Hes not a well known name yet because he has his own production company and refuses to sign with any other label. Hes 101% in charge of every single aspect of his career. However in 2019 right before covid hit he played a sold out concert in N.Y. to 13,000 where fans came from 68 countries to see him! No one else could do that. In London fans came from 74 countries. He just played a concert in Kazakhstan, which is where hes from and once again fans came from 68 countries . So you see its not that hes not known. His fans are the most devoted fans in the world. He calls us his Dears as he says we are as dear as family and an extension of his soul. His 1st album went platinum is 37 seconds! Triple in under an hr. However you will never find a more humble, loving, compassionate and respectful human. Dimash Qudaibergen is from Kazakhstan but he found fame in China at this singoff, "I Am Singer" He was 22 at this performance and is now 28. He began his classical vocal training at age 5 and continued through age 25 but still visits his vocal coach when he is home. His mother trained under the same vocal coach. His vocal range is over 7 octaves and he has full command of his voice, his vibrato and has huge lung capacity. He is athletic and does a lot of swimming under water to keep his lungs functioning well. He is a Red belt in Taekwondo, love to play soccer, ride horses up in the beautiful mountains of Kazakhstan. He is a generous giver, Muslim by faith, adores his family (grandparents, parents, siblings, friends and extended family). Very moral...no smoking, no drinking, no drugs.... He could have his choice of women, but highly moral in that area as well. This is the song that flung him into the world's eye and China was shocked. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology. He was 22 in this performance and is 28 now (only gotten better). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018 and then "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, and "Ave Maria" 2021. Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings. His parents are Kanat Aitbayev and Svetlana Aitbayeva. Sveta studied classical singing. Both have long been known and loved by the people, are Honored Music Artists of Kazakhstan. To answer one of your first questions yes he's got quite a career. This was in 2017 and yes it was on a Chinese competition show, however he is from Kazakhstan. No he did not win the competition because he is not Chinese but did play second. He's got quite a large catalog over the last 5 years. He was 22 during this show he is now 28. He's got a worldwide audience and a very dedicated fan base that he has named Dears. He has performed songs in 15 languages he speaks 4 languages. He's a multi-instrumentalist. You haven't heard of DIMASH because he doesn't want to sing with one of the big music houses. He doesn't want to get a new record every 6 month and the send him around for another 6 month. He doesn't want to be control or get told that he can't do what he wants to do when it comes of his work. They, his singing parents and him decided to do it true TH-cam, first he went to 4 singing competition in his country of Kazajistán. The he get invited to the show that you just watch his first song. The producers didn't do their job, so when he continued to be keep in the show, they were I trouble it was supposed to be maybe 2 weeks. They were sure that the Chinese singer were better then him and suspected that the public would no keep him in the show, well they were WRONG he keep winning the shows and because they didn't want the embarrassment that some guy from Kazajistán was better then their singers. They at the last minute, because DIMASH had the show on his hand, decided to put a rule that the show could only be wing by a Chinese. Their are idiots! If that was the case why you go out of your way to invite someone none Chinese. Well they gave the show to the older lady on the clip, the one that was like ooohhhhh! The other singers told the producers that they stole his first place, even the lady told him he had won( of course she didn't give him the trophy) but she felt that it was wrong. They gat in so much trouble because of not letting DIMASH win the show, ones it gat in TH-cam people were not happy with what they did. At the last minute the government intervening and gave DIMASH a trophy as the best voice of that year in China, it came with a big ceremony and everything. Well that is the reason you now are hearing from him, maybe if he would had stay just singing in his country we would not know of him. TH-cam help him to.

Hundreds of millions of fans in over 150 countries. The 'Western' Music Industry is narrowed down and tied to genre specific markets they have created and now have difficulty seeing / hearing past. Shies away from Non-English Artists and NESB Languages. They have been missing out - but this is changing - fast. Dimash is unconfined and sings across ALL genres - effortlessly. This was 5 years ago. All of this was dimashs arrangement. Here he had been a producer for several years and found sos and sung it at fifteen. He’s in his doctorate here. You’re not going to get what Dimash is doing here from any teacher. Yes they were great teachers thru his years of vocal and performance arts and in strumental training. Dimashs vocall coach would not let him use falsetto asis thrown through out this song at dimashs whim or for his artistic taste in the genre of popopera.Therers pop rock opera and belting that could even have come from metal.the Astana opera had a place for dimash but dimash went this route. Can’t you see how he uses his own choices of all the register, the vibrato at his choice and where. In my gospel singing years you would not have use vibrato so freely as probably dimashs classical contemporary and opera and aria singing used. Sure you can find artist with range. But look at this character of a person at 22 yrs old using so many genres in one song. People may be doing this after Dimash did as the vocal coaches in the thousands on you tube have criticed this performance and sent their students to learn from Dimash. He has broke; so many rules and techniques within the art of singing. Artist aren’t supposed to stay in the upper ranges of soprano and metso soprano but in many of his performances he does without a care. Sure they’re analyzing his vibrato but in Passione they are analyzing his trebello that the woodwind instruments, saxophone and Hammond B3 organs uses with a switch in the fan of the cabinet turning the trebello off and on. How in the world does a voice creat trebello. Also he does throat singing in sinful passion that sound like a repeating rifle used in eastern funerals in lamentation of the dead. What is the pop world to do with a voice like this a maestro vocalist. But I promise you this Dimash was everything you saw and heard in this production or collabed. He had completed his masters. Wikipedia has his career as started at 2 years old when his opera singing parents put him on stage.

But he has a bunch of support in Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Russia, including a major composer/producer who came out of retirement to write and arrange songs for Dimash and organize the venues. He is picking up speed in many other places. He had a live digital concert during the lockdowns because he couldn't tour. He also released a song in Japanese to the Tokyo Jazz Festival - recorded live in one pass in his studio by camera men from the Jazz Festival. When you watch it, remember it was a single live run.

People in Kazakhstan have been reclaiming their language and culture, which had been suppressed during the occupation.
Russia has been doing the old USSR tricks, like invading an area, shipping natives out, shipping Russian people in, and then holding elections for joining. That's really just voting with a rifle pointed at your head. NOT free elections.
Dimash has been very involved in reclaiming the Kazakhstan identity. Many of his songs are in Kazakh. He uses some of the national symbols in his videos. He has been using some ethnic Kazakh music techniques and instruments in his songs.
Realize that Kazakhstan has been independent all of Dimash's life. So he never knew the occupation. But he has seen the country working itself out of Russo-centrism and taking back their identity.
I'm guessing the main strain is asserting their unique identity while not giving Russia an excuse to re-invade. I hadn't heard of any major Kazakhstan statements on the war issue. I don't really expect any. So they are technically neutral at the moment.
Even Dimash's One Sky song/video is more about war in general, not a particular war or a particular side.
I haven't heard Dimash align with or condemn the Russian invasion, but I don't really follow him for social commentary, just music. I don't know his favorite food, clothing brand or Kardashian. I'm not 13. So I don't know whether he has offended anyone on the subject. I gather a lot of people are looking for a chance to be offended about any one's opinions on the Russia-Ukraine front. Trying to not offend a lot of people on that topic means largely not talking about it, which is effectively offensive censorship, since there is no real high ground in that mess, just different levels of low ground. No one has the right to be deeply offended because someone else "misunderstands" the situation.
The direct practical problem is that Igor Krutoy, one of Dimash's most productive music allies, is Russian and Ukrainian. That must be really complicated right now for both of them. I suppose a few brainwashed Russian citizens may be influenced to avoid Dimash, but they have been through a lot. The average Russian citizen is pretty jaded and doesn't trust the government's Pravda. I doubt any of the millions of Dimash fans in China care about a singer's opinions on the war. I'm also guessing that the Ukraine based music festivals are on hold. Travel near southern Russia can't be very good or very safe. So local area music engagements are pretty well squashed. War is not good for the live music business, big surprise.

Welcome to Dimash and yes he has a huge career, getting bigger everyday. He is becoming known around the world. He just did a huge stadium concert in his native Kazakhstan and will be in Malaysia in Nov. The Pandemic slowed his concerts but right before the shut down he did a sold out concert in New York at the Barclays and has concerts in Russian, Ukraine, Germany, England, etc. The composer who works with Diana, works constantly with Dimash as well and you will see many collaborations with the two of them. Keep in mind, this performance was in 2017 when he was 22. Now 28, he has only gotten better although that is hard to believe I know. He just released a very very intense but important MV called , The Story of One Sky. He composed the music, and the story, and did the acting which is incredible. It is a stance on war and it is in English. With Dimash, you may need to filter the videos because of copyright and blocks by You Tube. It is worth the filter to see the music he produces because there is no one in the world like him. Please be sure to go to his official You Tube channel where he actually will post his concerts a bit after they occur. Since he sings in so many languages, you will see fans from all over the world watching your reactions.

This was 2017 and this was his breakout moment. This video blew up overnight and he had to be assigned body guards. Trust me, hes earned it. He is 28. Hes been in formal music education and training since age 5. He still trains 3 hrs a day with a trainer. He has multiple degrees in music. He is currently working on his PHD in Musicology. He sings 7 octaves in 13 language and plays 8 instruments. He sings in multiple genres from pop to opera but he considers what he sings is neo-classical. Hes not a well known name yet because he has his own production company and refuses to sign with any other label. Hes 101% in charge of every single aspect of his career. However in 2019 right before covid hit he played a sold out concert in N.Y. to 13,000 where fans came from 68 countries to see him! No one else could do that. In London fans came from 74 countries. He just played a concert in Kazakhstan, which is where hes from and once again fans came from 68 countries . So you see its not that hes not known. His fans are the most devoted fans in the world. He calls us his Dears as he says we are as dear as family and an extension of his soul. His 1st album went platinum is 37 seconds! Triple in under an hr. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to TH-cam ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

Dimash Qudaibergen is from Kazakhstan but he found fame in China at this singoff, "I Am Singer"
He was 22 at this performance and is now 28.
He began his classical vocal training at age 5 and continued through age 25 but still visits his vocal coach when he is home.
His mother trained under the same vocal coach. His vocal range is over 7 octaves and he has full command of his voice, his vibrato and has huge lung capacity.
He is athletic and does a lot of swimming under water to keep his lungs functioning well. He is a Red belt in Taekwondo, love to play soccer, ride horses up in the beautiful mountains of Kazakhstan.
He is a generous giver, Muslim by faith, adores his family (grandparents, parents, siblings, friends and extended family).
Very moral...no smoking, no drinking, no drugs....
He could have his choice of women, but highly moral in that area as well.

He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology. He was 22 in this performance and is 28 now (only gotten better). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. Dimash Qudaibergen was born on May 24, 1994, in Aktobe, Kazakhstan into musical royalty. Height: 1.91m; 6' 3'.
Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings. His parents are Kanat Aitbayev and Svetlana Aitbayeva. Sveta studied classical singing. According to Kazakh tradition, Dimash was raised by his grandparents (Mama and Papa) and for a long time he kept his parents as his brother ans sister in law. They all live together in one house.
Dimash said: “Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life."
He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in piano, classical/opera, contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’. Dimash did not fit the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was criticized. Even his voice teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto (Interview with his voice teacher - th-cam.com/video/V7hkcKYAnhg/w-d-xo.html ) ... but he was not deterred, won many national and international competitions.
In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of the National Opera in Astana because he wanted to go his own way ... He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles such as pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We laypeople say 'Popera'. 😃
Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. He founded his own company named Dimash Ali.
In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone in China. His first album sold out in 37 seconds and triple platinum in under an hour.
He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today Dimash is a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not an official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian without accent (second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin. He says dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him. So far, he sings in 13 languages, trains his voice for 3 hours every day... but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results".
Experts consider Dimash to be a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano.

To answer one of your first questions yes he's got quite a career. This was in 2017 and yes it was on a Chinese competition show, however he is from Kazakhstan. No he did not win the competition because he is not Chinese but did play second.
He's got quite a large catalog over the last 5 years. He was 22 during this show he is now 28.
He's got a worldwide audience and a very dedicated fan base that he has named Dears.
He has performed songs in 15 languages he speaks 4 languages. He's a multi-instrumentalist. If you gotten training at the age of 5 and his parents are well-known Kazakhstani performers as well.

You haven't heard of DIMASH because he doesn't want to sing with one of the big music houses. He doesn't want to get a new record every 6 month and the send him around for another 6 month. He doesn't want to be control or get told that he can't do what he wants to do when it comes of his work. They, his singing parents and him decided to do it true TH-cam, first he went to 4 singing competition in his country of Kazajistán. The he get invited to the show that you just watch his first song. The producers didn't do their job, so when he continued to be keep in the show, they were I trouble it was supposed to be maybe 2 weeks. They were sure that the Chinese singer were better then him and suspected that the public would no keep him in the show, well they were WRONG he keep winning the shows and because they didn't want the embarrassment that some guy from Kazajistán was better then their singers. They at the last minute, because DIMASH had the show on his hand, decided to put a rule that the show could only be wing by a Chinese. Their are idiots! If that was the case why you go out of your way to invite someone none Chinese. Well they gave the show to the older lady on the clip, the one that was like ooohhhhh!
The other singers told the producers that they stole his first place, even the lady told him he had won( of course she didn't give him the trophy) but she felt that it was wrong. They gat in so much trouble because of not letting DIMASH win the show, ones it gat in TH-cam people were not happy with what they did. At the last minute the government intervening and gave DIMASH a trophy as the best voice of that year in China, it came with a big ceremony and everything. Well that is the reason you now are hearing from him, maybe if he would had stay just singing in his country we would not know of him. TH-cam help him to.
