Investing in the Future: The Story of Desautels Capital Management

Desautels Capital Management is a student-run registered investment management firm, managed by top students from the Master of Management in Finance (MMF) and the Honours Investment Management (HIM) programs at the Desautels Faculty of Management. Students get to directly specialize in a sector of their choice (e.g., information technology, financials, etc.) while also being actively involved with and gaining exposure to other sectors through other colleagues’ pitches and research. As they undertake industry research, develop their stock pitches, and review existing fund positions, they also receive hands-on mentorship and feedback from faculty dedicated to the program and from industry mentors.
The MMF also hosts regular guest speaker sessions with prominent practitioners and recent alumni and organizes exciting networking trips to cities like London (UK) and Toronto.
