The catapult token Isn't exactly useless. The token's name has ancient gear in it therefore it can act as a material for Giant or Howitzer. I think its designed purpose was to pop Geartown to summon a token and Gear Gadget so you can tribute summon for Reactor Dragon and get both his effects.
I have play tested this deck a lot after the deck profile and found the token is a lot more useful then I originally thought, some plays like you just said.
If in hand yes, but if catapult is in graveyard you'll need some gears or a hunting hound in hand to pull it off. We're discussing the tokens possibilities not how effective catapult is on its own.
can i special summon the ancient gear howitzer from the graveyard even when the card says that is unaffected by other cards, i mean that efect is still aplying on the graveyard
so i can make a fusion using ancient gear hound and ancient gear howitzer to get another ancient gear howitzer, and if i do it one more time i can bring the first A.G. Howitzer using branch! right? haha i dont know if you understand what im trying to say
sigh, why do people keep thinking that giant is affected by limiter remover? he's unaffected by spells and traps while he's on field

And with Iron wolf target giant and you can attack directly and THEN attack his Monsters cause no OTHER monster can attack HE can

Yes you can ss it from grave if you have correctly fusion summoned it first.
