XY will always have a special place in my heart, it wasn't the first Pokémon Game that I played, but it was the one that really made me love the franchise. I didn't care about the fact that it was easy, the thing I enjoyed about it was the sense of discovery it had, finding new incredible places to look at, marvel at the creatures that I found on the routes. That's what made Pokémon special to me, not the gameplay in general, but it's ability to transport me into another world, full of things to discover. That's why I'll always love XY, even though everyone will say that it's one of the worst
I vividly remember this being the new gen of Pokemon, somehow in my head it still is. Seeing the soundtrack coupled with nostalgia makes me realize that it's been a whole 10 years, and I'm 20 now.
Gen 6 might not be my favorite, and it has a good amount of issues... but the games still hold a place in my heart in spite of that. It was one of the last times exploring a Pokemon region felt fulfilling.
Vanville town, for absolutely no reason, just made me start crying. I hate having to face the fact that i graduate high school this year, having to realize that im deadass getting older. I wanna go back to 2013..
Although Pearl was my first Pokemon game, XY has a special place in my heart. Listening to the soundtrack brings me back to when I was 15. I would borrow my siblings' X cartridge and play with their Pokemon on Pokemon amie. XY is already 10 years old, so it shows how much time has passed. For all its faults, I still adore these games so much.
I loved Generation 6. Having played since Pokemon Red on Christmas 1998, the Gen 6 games game me a similar excitement that I had back then. Seeing the world in 3D was awesome, and I played hundreds of hours of X. The music sticks with me way more than Gen 3,4,5,7 for sure.
kalos journey as a whole feels very nostalgic as you go through Kalos, the seasons change the farther in Vaniville starts in Spring, and by Cyllage and Shalour, youre in Summer, as theyre coastal. Then, when you get to Laverre City and its surrounding routes, its Fall/Autumn. And as you approach Anistar and Snowbelle, its winter it also doesn't help that this game gives 3d but classic pokemon vibes 😭im so grateful to have grown up with this generation of pokemon
idk if someone is gonna judge me for this, but i was in elementary school when xy came out and it was the first pokemon game i owned myself, my sister gifted me x for my birthday, that was however when oras were already on the market as my brother and i shared a loaned copy from a library before that i have such strong feelings about this game and i dont think i will ever be able to consider another as my favourite, as a little child i even had trouble with a few harder battles despite everyone rambling about the easiness and when i lost to the elite four i was confused why i had to battle the ones i had already defeated again i didnt always follow the story and just skipped over texts, often times leaving me confused and lost one time i was so lost that i just simply gave up and restarted the game, i always chose fennekin and charmander, also always caught a fletchling and had such troubles with the 2nd gym that i called my sister to ask whats good against rock types and she was so confused why i asked because i had alreasy beaten the gym on the safe file i had before, i could always call her to ask questions the first playthrough, she got me the gift zygarde before i even challenged the 1st gym, i battled that poor rollerskater girl with her zigzagoon with a lvl 100 zygarde that wouldnt listen to me, RIP Zygarde when i first had to press the button in team flares hideout i saved before in case i chose the wrong one and then reset but it was still wrong and i was lost again keep in mind we barely had any internet access in our house besides one pc that i barely used and didnt really know how anyway, i didnt even think that i would find pokemon tips or such on the internet i ended up catching an eevee that i evolved to vaporeon and that became a staple on my team in future run throughs as well i also remember i was so irritated when i couldnt catch the mans furfrou in parfum palace that my mom had to help me, even she didnt know what she was doing but eventually got it i remember seeing pokemon i knew from prior oras playthroughs in kalos, like mightyena, and i caught them and just put them in a dedicated "friends" box i was also so desperate to buy the expensive clothing without understanding the meaning of style that i went into every boutique in kalos and bought the prettiest clothes i could find trying to look more stylish i did lots of themed playthroughs where i played for example as cynthia and hatched all the pokemon i needed for those in oras and traded them over, but at this point in my pokemon journey i was already fairly good and was easily overleveled with those traded pokemon and swept everyone i also remember being so confused about how to catch the legendary birds that i had a conversation with my classmate that also owned x i made lots of friends over the pss that traded me their shiny pokemon or just starters and i will never forget when someone gave me a snivy, that was just the peak for me i also tried to send legendary pokemon from my 6th gen games to sun and moon with the gts bc the layout was similar, one time i put a ho oh for a fearow bc that was easy to get in sun, i closed the game so quickly to change to sun so that no one else finds it but i couldnt find it in the gts and when i went back to oras to check, my ho oh was gone and i had a random fearow, RIP Ho-Oh xy are probably the games i spent most time in during my childhood and still to this day, its crazy how so much time has passed and that i will soon do my a level, pokemon xy were always a comfort game for me that took me back into my early childhood and i will never talk badly about it, so much changes in my life and i even feel nostalgia for sword and shield bc my life was so different back then even i always hurt a little when i see kalos slander but i cant deny those flaws, it is however truly such a feel good game for me and i always think that when proper xy remakes come out that fix everything, my life will also be "fixed" and i will be fine, living an easy life and knowing exactly what to do, i will be at peace and my childhood will finally come to an end there, ending the cycle emotionally and being back at the beginning, when everything was still okay i think im done now, all those memories were just waiting to get poured out and released and i finally feel as if my love for this game can be shared with others i look so forward to pokemon legends z a and to be able to live my childhood like that again
Pokémon xy were my second ever pokemon games, and I was literally the only one in my group of friends who thought there was a slim chance they’d bring back XY… And I was right! I’m so happy, 2025’s gonna be a great year for Kalos fans!!
Nothing like me in middle school, buying a 2ds (cause I didn’t have enough money to buy the 3ds I wanted from Walmart) and getting pokemon x for free cause Nintendo was offering it for free if you bought a new system and a certain game with it and spending so much of my time just exploring the world of kalos. Staying up learning new things, catching new pokemon.
I have never had a Nintendo 3DS, or some platform to play Pokémon X & Y. Even so, the game and its OST always gives me chills, and teleports me to my childhood. It's a nice memory, and it has helped me during this year because, for me, it sucked very hard, and this kind of music helps me to cheer up and move on. Thank you for doing this!! Keep doing it, please
I give you a tightly HUG 🫂 I understanding you , I have no family as well this year so bad for me either But remember not only you being sad or dissapoited , just smiling , smile for yourself that you still alive.....and fight together
this game (pokemon x) was my first video game i actually bought using my own money, it is very nice to hear this music and feel this special feeling that i seldom feel nowadays..
So nostalgic. I love x and y, theyre my favorite games in the series. My favorite games of all time even! Ive played them over hundreds of times, watched hundreds of playthroughs and even read the guidebook thousands of times over. I remember everything about these games off the top of my head. Im so happy were going back in legends za
What I especially like about these games' music is that it is not so distant to the vibes of generations that came before it while having a to the 3DS standard upgraded music quality / orchestration. Kind of like a transitional soundfont before the full "hd-ification" of the music made it clearly distinguishable.
For sure pokemon XY are very nostalgic for me! I was in high school and these were the first pokemon games that i bought on the launching day. It was my first experience with the hype pre-launch of the game as well coming into the competitive scenario. Discovering this region without any guide was surely a pleasure for me. It also remebers me from an old friend of mine, that unfortunately we don't have more contact. Good times that doesn't come back anymore :)
One of my favourite game of the franchise… Kalos and gen 6 were definitely something with the arrival of 3D in Pokémon games. Supprex, thank you so much for making these amazing playlists 😭❤️
I still remember getting my copy of Pokemon X on my birthday on 2014, can´t believe it´s been 10 years since that happened, I absolutely love gen 6 and still do.
I remember the day I got X, the day it came out, October 12th 2013. I was 7 at the time, although I had played a few pokémon games before X, X was the first time I built a proper team. The team was Greninja, Pyroar, Gogoat, Hawlucha, Heliolisk and Xerneas. I’ll be 19 in November however X and Y still feel fresh in my mind all those years later. Those were the days man
I didn't play Gen 5 or later bc of high school and college. Now at 25 years old with some more time on my hands, I played all the gens I missed out on and XY were one of my favorites!
It's weird, I didn't like X and Y that much, but It was the first Pokémon game I shared with my Late husband, makes me feel nostalgic in a different way I guess.
I'm a hardcore gen 1-4 fan, but I really loved X/Y when they came out. I loved the mega evolutions and the game was a lot of fun. The soundtrack is great as well. Me and my buddies did a lot of online battling and it was so fun
oh this mix is wonderful ( =^ω^) x was the first pokémon game i officially owned . i had played older friends' copies of diamond or pearl , but my copy of x was all mine . despite its flaws , still my favorite pokémon game of all time
My second Pokémon game after Pokémon diamond i used to play this game when i was a kid 😭😭😭 couldn't beat the elite 4 because i didn't know you could buy heals.
I think in 2015... they took me to a video game store, something that was even in another city because my town is very small and there are no such things. I remember I had 800 Mexican pesos which, I think at that time, was about 35 dollars, I'm not sure. I already had the idea of buying a Pokémon game for my Nintendo 3DS, but I saw Pokémon X and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire on the shelves. I had already played in the Hoenn region, so it was a very complicated decision... but, in the end I chose the water region, and although I don't regret it, sometimes I wonder what my experience and nostalgia with Pokémon would be like if I would have chosen Kalos... As a bonus, a week after purchasing the game, I was scolded because a guy was selling 3 used 3DS games on Facebook and among them were Pokémon X and Pokémon AS. All at the same price (800 mexican pesos / 35$, maybe) And I was punished for "not being patient and not waiting" ...how was I supposed to know some random guy was going to sell that a week later? Anyway, it was not more than 1 day of punishment Good memories
Orchestral is indeed a word! And it's accurate! We love you and your lovely playlists!!!!! I played this gen first, starting late in life, and it still has really lovely memories for me, even after I tried all the older games. This gen feels like, if not the best, then the last of the best to me. It was, tragically, all downhill from here. Also, if you're stuck in the comments... keep studying or working or whatever! Don't give up!!
Time Passed so quickly it becomes a Sweet memories for me what a Lovely days for me enjoying Pokémon X game by playing and while watching Pokémon XY anime and summer time What a time it was 😊❤🎉
This was the game that brought me back to Pokémon on an actual console and not emulators since the GBA games and my introduction to competitive battles, i had a lot of fun even if the actual main game had a lot of missed potential, i love them
The XY soundtrack remains one of the only purchases I've ever made on itunes. I listened to it all the time and I remember one time my phone started playing it during a movie at the theater (though thankfully the movie was loud and I didn't make too much a disturbance before turning it back off).
Love these games to an extent and I always felt like they were not finished compared to some other games i played. Once those leaks came out, I can very much say they were not finished lmfao
Despite most of the music coming from this game..the only thing I can think of when I hear this music is Pokémon Brick Bronze. Either way, the nostalgia hits. I just replayed Pokémon Y again and Pokémon Brick Bronze is effectively dead, sniped by Nintendo. I feel like I’m trying to grasp onto a dead memory that should’ve been put into the dirt years ago. AZ’s Theme and Vaniville Town hit the hardest to my feels, because it’s the true music of the start of your journey to both.
It’s funny how you can still hear the Gen 5 musical influence here at some points. It’s especially obvious with the first track. Sounds a ton like the ice gym city from Gen 5. Same with Sycamore’s theme.

i have such strong feelings about this game and i dont think i will ever be able to consider another as my favourite, as a little child i even had trouble with a few harder battles despite everyone rambling about the easiness and when i lost to the elite four i was confused why i had to battle the ones i had already defeated again
i didnt always follow the story and just skipped over texts, often times leaving me confused and lost
one time i was so lost that i just simply gave up and restarted the game, i always chose fennekin and charmander, also always caught a fletchling and had such troubles with the 2nd gym that i called my sister to ask whats good against rock types and she was so confused why i asked because i had alreasy beaten the gym on the safe file i had before, i could always call her to ask questions

when i first had to press the button in team flares hideout i saved before in case i chose the wrong one and then reset but it was still wrong and i was lost again
keep in mind we barely had any internet access in our house besides one pc that i barely used and didnt really know how anyway, i didnt even think that i would find pokemon tips or such on the internet
i ended up catching an eevee that i evolved to vaporeon and that became a staple on my team in future run throughs as well
i also remember i was so irritated when i couldnt catch the mans furfrou in parfum palace that my mom had to help me, even she didnt know what she was doing but eventually got it
i remember seeing pokemon i knew from prior oras playthroughs in kalos, like mightyena, and i caught them and just put them in a dedicated "friends" box
i was also so desperate to buy the expensive clothing without understanding the meaning of style that i went into every boutique in kalos and bought the prettiest clothes i could find trying to look more stylish
i did lots of themed playthroughs where i played for example as cynthia and hatched all the pokemon i needed for those in oras and traded them over, but at this point in my pokemon journey i was already fairly good and was easily overleveled with those traded pokemon and swept everyone
i also remember being so confused about how to catch the legendary birds that i had a conversation with my classmate that also owned x
i made lots of friends over the pss that traded me their shiny pokemon or just starters and i will never forget when someone gave me a snivy, that was just the peak for me
i also tried to send legendary pokemon from my 6th gen games to sun and moon with the gts bc the layout was similar, one time i put a ho oh for a fearow bc that was easy to get in sun, i closed the game so quickly to change to sun so that no one else finds it but i couldnt find it in the gts and when i went back to oras to check, my ho oh was gone and i had a random fearow, RIP Ho-Oh

What I especially like about these games' music is that it is not so distant to the vibes of generations that came before it while having a to the 3DS standard upgraded music quality / orchestration. Love xy boutique it's my all time favorite sound track i hope you have it here
Anistar city very deep nostalgia love it
Despite most of the music coming from this game..the only thing I can think of when I hear this music is Pokémon Brick Bronze.
