I have never known snow in my life, not even cold. I live in an area of Mexico where it is always over 30° and almost 40° in the afternoons, so I have not even known the cold in winter. The closest I've ever been was one time I went to Tijuana and it was 5°, and I was dying XD. Shit, I remember that I stayed in practically a garbage dump, a poor area because my family lived there, and if I went up to the roof I could see the lights of San Diego, and I always wondered: is it snowing there? One of my dreams has always been to see snow since I found out at the age of 15 that it IS REAL, and not a fantasy element that they used in fairy tale movies. I always relate snow to "The End", of something, and I relate the end of rest, of work, of school and the only thing left to do is rest. I don't know, but I will always love music and snow in video games. It transmits to me a kind of "We are at home", or feeling a false nostalgia, returning to a place where I have never been. Idk, I like Pokémon
I think what you're trying to say is snow feels heartwarming and gives a sense of security maybe? I feel like that's how they try to convey snowy music cause snow is intimately linked to Christmas in the collective imagination and all these comforting notions of love and safety. It is cold so we could also associate it with something soothing or anesthetic depending on how you see it. It's more likely to happen in December so we can link it to the end of a cycle. To me the term that describes the best snow in general and how they convey it in music is heartwarming chilliness.
i lived in socal alot and dont know why the hell people rather be in 120 degree weather when there are highland areas that get snow dusting and summer that dont make youre life hell. it also shitty in the lowland beacuse everything is dry and dead i would move to the mountains but everyone is white there so that makes it lonely
Freezington is one of the greats imo. Really brings me back to release night of that dlc playing, watching others stream, lighting a candle, and drinking red wine.
The switch from BDSP Snowpoint city to DPPt one totally killed me. Snowpoint DPPt is my favorite Pokémon OST, I prefer a lot this version than the remake one

ive never heard the second theme but its good i didnt realize it was pokemon tho i though it was some other rpg like octopath beacuse how cinematic it was. i can always find snow tho since california is surrounded by tall mountains even the costal mountains get to 8k to 9k feet a little bit north of the bay area as well as part of costal socal. the inland ones are like 10k to 15k even in socal so at least i can visist. still wish i could live there tho i hate seing the poluted destroyed lowland california
