I bought mine last year, very pleased with it especially the gas mileage! My alternatives were a VW or Porsche, no regrets. In the first couple of months I was getting 32 mpg, but now I am using the performance more I am getting 28 mpg, plus the reliability you expect with a Toyota.

It may be better in the snow as it had snow setting. narrower tyres and locking diff, my 2006 400h just bought is perfect with 50k on it. Dashboard cracks on the new one which I understand is a common problem. Just tried it in bit of snow seemed ok, Back axle powered by electric motor only. It is incredible seamless drive train, batter than my VW cc diesel with its bumpy stop start feature by a long way! Thanks for the vid.
The water pump on my 350 is leaking. Lexus want £2000 to repair. Private garages want £1000 but no one will touch it because it’s soo difficult and time consuming to do 🙁💔

Hello, I’m from Spain and I am buying one this week with 130.000 miles, it is in good shape and i am getting it for a very good price. All services at the Lexus dealership and only two owners. I read about known problems on the RX400h like the power tailgate malfunction or the drains for the panoramic roof. Have you ever had some of this problems? Thanks. Great video by the way and a beautiful example of this model.
I sold the Lexus a while ago but I never had those issues. Either way they are simple fixes by the sound of it. They are absolutely brilliant SUVs. I would have another one without hesitation. They are better than any other from the rest of the manufacturers. I hope you get a nice version 👍
I’ve recently bought a decent 06 model and it seems great, but I came back from Leeds to Manchester and found that once I hit 80 mph there was a unreasuringly amount of judder, what do you think is the problem?

It’s a full hybrid and not a plug-in hybrid, so the engine, and regenerative braking/coasting do the charging. The switching between them is done automatically. I think you may be talking about a plug-in hybrid car.
It’s a Lexus, so as long as it’s been serviced it should be absolutely fine. Just make sure the hybrid battery doesn’t run down quickly. Take it on a good test drive beforehand.
The batteries never die fully. Mine was perfect. Lots of Toyotas have very high milage with zero issues. Individual cells may go, but they can be replaced for easily. The cells are only £30 or so each on eBay. I never had an issue though.

However, take into consideration the fact the hybrid electric system comes into play a lot, meaning the engine isn’t running when it does, so that means a fair amount of fuel savings. On a motorway run it usually gets an average of 33 mpg or so.

Is the 400h slower than the 350? The specs show the 350 has 276bhp and the 400h has 211 but some people say the 400h is faster.

If it’s through the steering wheel or floor, your front and/or rear wheels need balancing. That’d be the first thing I’d do.

A 2010/11 Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian automatic double-cab long-bed. A superb pick-up truck!
