Mine out of the box with stock can, appears to struggle with smooth running. In low gear, when going backwards and turning, it stop starts, I have tried everything, backing off the diff covers, programing the ESC with program card. I can't figure out what the issue is, I have the Jeep and only got it on Thursday. Have to call the shop and see what they say, they're the official importers in my country. I installed a new PowerHD 80KG servo and HW UBEC 10 amp, running 7.4 volt with a 3S battery. The truck is really easy to work on, just am stumped to what the staggered or pulsing of the truck is, it only does it at low speed and is not what I would call cogging.
@@DankePlace wow, so your running the stock motor and ESC? I know when I first got mine and ran it it would cut out when I was turning the esc would cut out. I know the stock ESC is pretty weak.
@@Natesrc78 yeah esc and can are stock. I am going to upgrade but just wondering what ESC would be a good replacement, as I hear the sensor cable on the stock can is proprietary? I like the 8ight and a new esc will cost similar money, so what should I do here?
@DankePlace I'd like to test out the fusion 8ight more before I recommend it for the SCX6's. Someone commented about it overheating so I want to see if mine does the same thing and go from there. I would have to do more research and see what other ESC would work with the stock motor.
@@Natesrc78 Yeah nps, what is funny is HW themselves recommend the 8ight for the SCX6 and have a mounting plate. My concern is the can might be a little too small. I would rather a better esc to run the stock can on 4S, I have heard some people comment that the newer versions that run 4S have perf of 6S of the older escs. I don't mind spending the money, I am already $800 AUD deep in the Jeep, mind you I got the Jeep for 1500 AUD with bonus Hyrax tires thrown in for free. I only use this to walk the dog and I like what it can do, just that I want that extra little bit of omph and want to see the best upgrade path. I am not going 12S Mamba nuts, nor do I need 6S, 4S is fine for my needs, just that I want it to be a quality set up with no compromise, if this makes sense? Also thinking of doing the Vivaton Portal hubs too. ALso subbed, thx for your work, it makes it a lot easier to understand with how you do things.
@DankePlace I really appreciate it. Yeah I think 6s is a little much for sure. I will put the fusion 8ight through it's paces this week and see how it holds up and in the meantime I will do research and see about a better ESC for the stock motor. I will stay in touch and keep you updated.

Thank you for the full installation on the scx6 it is very helpful. Great video again 👏
