I love how honest and raw he is. You can tell he’s just like 'that’s me, take it or leave it' and it’s so refreshing. The way he sits, the way he talks and gesticulates... Everything is unfiltered.

I love how they removed the reverb from putting carpets on the wall and then put reverb in the mic lmao
i mean they added a pretty lush hall reverb its not like the room would sound anything like that and the intention was obviously to stop close reflections causing feedback or even for visual reasons. It's pretty rare to play somewhere which has usable natural space in fact literally every venue I have ever played besides theatre's will prefer to dampen the room as much as they can and then use artificial delay or reverb afterwards it's just way easier to control for so many reasons which I wont list but u get the idea.
"Not really for getting high in a car, just hanging out, but I happen to be getting high" if that doesnt sum up myself idk what does
such a relief to hear Matty say singing is hard. even he, one who had been into music his entire life and had sung for so long now, needs to practice. i really needed to hear that.

i love love love how much of his interviews are fan service. like this actually is what all the stans want to hear, he knows how much we love the self titled album and the way he talked about it is just like yess. really excited for the new album

I love how you could just cover his head and you’d think maybe he was a young lady sitting there. He’s a lovely, delicate, handsome, tiny man. He’s perfect and oh so intelligent.

His voice is great though. He doesn't need to feel worked up about it. It's so distinctive and it lends a huge part to the bands identity! Matty if you're reading this, just be you and do you. Like you said "go with you're instinct." You're awesome! No other band makes me think and enjoy myself the way yours does! Never gonna lie to you! :)

I love how every word that comes out of his mouth, he is immediately conscious of how it could be taken, and of the fact that some people see him as a role model. But I also appreciate that he doesn't take himself too seriously.

I'll let everyone come to their own conclusions but in an interview with Rolling Stone and with Peter Robinson for the shortlist sexuality comes up and he talks about it quite frankly.

I love his personality he just seems so real and raw. Like he doesn't care what others think. He doesn't try to be something he's not. That's what I've gathered from watching interviews he's done.

People who care about what others think are always holding their tongue and watching what they say and how it could be perceived. He doesn't seem that way in MY opinion. But everyone interprets things and people differently!

Matty your voice is so magical in so many ways. Can not believe you do not enjoy singing. Truly unbelievable omg. It really does give me peace.
I’m sad that when going to festivals they don’t enjoy it as much as their own shows but that’s the only way I can see them live where I live, so though it was special for me, a lot of people watch them without knowing anything about them
I feel like when they know it's their only shows it might mean more. Like the shows in South America were some of the beat shows they've ever played imo

I feel a lot of people misunderstand what he meant about hating singing. He’s not saying he’s a bad singer, he means he’s had to work so much at being a good singer that it’s not any fun for him. Plus he didn’t originally sing in the band so it’s not like second nature to him

I’m not going to lie. I don’t agree with his stances on things like 80% of the time. But he’s such and interesting mind and a talented songwriter. Love them regardless of personal differences. My favorite band ever.

He says it’s his “favorite” memory but it makes me really sad that his experience in Texas and America as a whole is just really negative. Like it makes me really upset that someone would kick them out for looking “gay”. I really hope that doesn’t shape Matty’s entire perspective on Texas because I’ve lived here my whole life and I would never discriminate against anyone no matter what their race, sexuality, religion, etc. is. Things like this just make me feel embarrassed for being American :(
