2024 will hopefully be the year I can make a trip to the arcade. Feel teary eyed just thinking about it! So happy this exists, well done everyone who has kept it going.
A lot of work and a lot of thanks to all those who have helped, but thanks especially to YOU. Without yourself non of this would have ever happened.. Thankyou!
You are definitely living the dream, the arcade has come together so well, with an absolutely fantastic lineup of machines, something for everyone's taste. Hats off to your volunteers they have done an amazing job getting everything up and running (and keeping it running). You know I love the older machines, so can't wait for some of the new barn finds and what treasures have surfaced. I did manage to fix a few machines for Christmas, on a bit of a break to recharge at the moment.
Congratulations on all you've achieved with the museum, Alex, it's a huge thing you've done for the community. Wishing you all the best for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024!
There are TH-camrs on this platform with 10X your subscribers that have their subs send them games with the promise of opening up museums. Empty promises but you here just got it done!
Congratulations on making it a year in. It is wonderful to see all the hard work put into it. And the community coming together to help out. Here's to many more years ahead.
I was lucky enough to be in your (arcade archive) part of the UK, with my son, it was great to be able to share with him what arcades used to be like, thank you to you and your team for creating and maintaining this space
What a first year you have had mate, definatly one of my highlights was being able to come visit you in the arcade and the cave upstairs, class day. I cant wait to see some of the restoration videos, i loved having a look in there to see how things work, see you again sometime this year!
I need to come across the pond and see the place for myself...place looks fantastic and I can help ya fix that Gun Fight! Merry Christmas buddy! Happy New Year!
Great work this year. My friends and I had really good afternoon on our visit and was an absolute pleasure to meet and chat with you. Look forward to seeing what 2024 brings.
It is unbelievable what you all have achieved people can't underestimate how hard it is to keep these old games running that's why not lot of people can do this big thanks to you all for keeping Retro alive you are just amazing people to the retro community and it sounds like Holly is amazing person to have doing all this just outstanding 100 percent respect to you all you've got to get the sit down starwars in there that was just so good as kid playing that at my local cafe in school lunch break xx❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words it’s much appreciated. Your have to come and visit as I love hearing all the stories people have of the arcades they used to go to bitd. Happy new year 🥳
Hi Alex. We've got a long weekend in the Cotswolds booked for 17th-19th of May 2024. Really hope you guys are open then so I can visit with the wife and kids.
Cant believe its been a year already, congratulations on everything youve all achieved so far and heres to a great 2024. Fingers crossed i'll be able to make the journey down soon.
Congratulations to you and the rest of the Arcade Archive team! Here's to many more. I'm looking forward to visiting in the new year. Hope to see you all soon. Keep doing what you're doing, Alex, and never change 🙂 Next year is going to be my year, for sure!
Wow what a year!! Its been a real privilege to come visit the Arcade and I'm really looking forward to what 2024 brings. Happy New Year to you and the team.
An amazing first year to come this far. I'm so looking forward to visiting the arcade and also the RMC Cave. Hopefully this year. Well done sir and all the team. Happy New Year!
Huge congratulations to you and the team on your first year. A true labour of love and it shows 👍👍. Happy New Year to you all, wishing you a prosperous and peaceful 2024.
Literally watching this on a 1976 Atari Night Driver arcade machine lol. Yeah one or two machines refusing to work is kinda normal at my local museum here in Seligenstadt. Next month, it's two different machines. Sometimes, they all work though.
Great roundup of your 1st year Alex, you've done a cracking job. Great move with the entrance room, I think that will suit the space well, and the music license, another great move to really add to the atmosphere in the arcade space. Well done bud.
congratulations Alex, it was so great to meet you at Crash and also to come down to the arcade, it's a shame you weren't there when I was. From my point of view, in terms of that extra room I found myself wishing that there some of the other arcade elements that added to the atmosphere - the coin pushers, coin-op horse racing games, even the very old fashioned bandits and bagatelles, most of which I suspect would need some kind of license unless you had them payout in old money that could only be used on those actual machines. Also, although it would take up too much space, I also fancied a few games of pool. Anyway, those are my thoughts, good luck with the future!
I would love to add some old cromptons penny pushers but it’s space unfortunately mate or I would do. Thanks for coming down and supporting the museum I’m just sorry I wasn’t there. Happy new year
@@TheArcadeArchive just dropped you an email but I'll reply here too - I get that the space is limited but some of those 2p pushers are quite small. I love the old mechanical '1d' machines to but I imagine they are a maintenance nightmare. You could make that first room a '70s' room though, with the electronic and mechanical mix - I mean, I didn't mind the 80s music but it was a bit odd playing 1970s machines whilst listening to Wham :P - and finally, somehow, someway you need to get a really classy em pinball machine, something like Mata Hari would be stellar.
Just back from visiting the Archive today n I've gotta say Alex I didn't just like it I loved it. Huge shame you wasn't there but Holly was good enuff to explain that u were taking some much deserved time off. Was great day tho and Holly and Tony Made us feel very welcome indeed, there a credit to you and the Archive! Jay 👌👊

Happy New Year to Alex and all the team. I couldn't believe it was only a year as well. It seems a lot longer. They have squeezed so much into such little time. A year is nothing these days, especially in business, nevermind having two YT channels as well, plus another job. It would be way too much for me as there aren't enough hours. I would focus on the main business and put out maybe a vid once a month maybe. But even then I'd be having a breakdown at home as family life is busy enough. Take it easy Alex. Take your time please when you can. Your supporters will have patience. You are doing an amazing job!
Well done, Alex! Proud of what you've achieved mate. So pleased to see you do well and go from strength to strength after all these years! Happy New Year mate and all the best for 2024! 😊
Congrats on achieving the first year milestone! Like you say, it's no easy feat. We'll be back to the arcade soon to visit and see what's new. Looking forward to it. Happy New Year in advance!

Yea shame I missed you earlier in the year but hopefully you can pop down and play your favourite game Outrun next year and you can give me a challenge 😊 Happy new year mate 🎉
well dont forget that you can tell that Cave guy to move over and use his space for making intros etc. Yes make best use of that area, don't forget wheel chairs for that. I know u spoke to me about running the arcade, but you get there. I am now planning on opening up and sell replica games.
A fantastic first year mate and the times I have been down the place has been amazing so keep up the good work as many more people need to experience the arcade. All the best for 2024 and I will continue to support as much as I can. All the best.
Hi Martin It was great to have you in the museum this year and play some games together. Thank you so much for your support as well it means so much. Happy new year my good friend 🥳
Hey, Alex! It's crazy how time flies! You've all done a fantastic amount of work on the Arcade, it looks awesome! I need to venture up and experience that atmosphere, some time in the new year. Hope you've had a great Christmas! Here's to an amazing 2024!! 🍷🍺
Alex, it's your deep passion for the arcade that has manifested this incredible museum. You took on a massive challenge and pushed through times of adversity due to loving arcades to your core. Your warmth and enthusiasm is genuine and unmatched. I can only see a bright and rewarding future for you and the museum and I know that at every corner you'll seek new and innovate ways to keep the arcade alive and enjoy the laughter and joy of others that get to experience your passion. The only new years resolution I have is to take a drive over to see the cave and archive soon. Its mind blowing what you've managed to do in a short time. Happy new year Alex!
I was wondering about Paperboy. You should do a 3d scan of the bike handle controller- it would be good to preserve the design, and I've always wanted to 3d print my own
Grats on the first year. Really looking forward to video about the gun fight when it is working!! and hopefully some vlog during the restoration! Very eager to see how it was.
Congratulations on all that you're doing with the arcade - it looks superb in every respect and your passion and commitment really comes through. I've only just come across your channel and thoroughly enjoyed this and the Robocop videos so far. I'm a long way away but definitely plan to visit as soon as I'm able to. Very best of luck for 2024!
A year already that's awesome Alex you must be so pleased with how well the Archive has flourished. I'm over this weekend coming and really looking forward to the visit. Hopefully you will have the Rygar jamma up n running for me to show u my stuff. Keep up the good work 😊👌
Watching this reminds me of going to WW1 & WW2 air shows with my dad, where all the old guys still kept the planes running. They’re all dead now and I wonder if all of those planes are still working… I suspect a similar fate awaits these machines, especially since they weren’t built to last.
Amazing work you've done. Exciting times for the future. Hopefully Sprint 2 will be up and running by the time I can make a visit... glad you got the Battlezone as that is my #1. The one game I don't see so much is Bank Panic... I used to love that back in the day and got 250,000+ last time I played (about 25 years ago now!)...
That Gun Fight is incredible. I'll make the journey down especially just to play that when it's up and running. (I love EM arcade machines) Any ideas of its history? Where was it sited etc?
That was supposedly very good year for the museum... I hope that was not bad for you and yours. All the best to you and yours in the upcoming year! Sorry - I've not been able to participate in your Patreon.
Looks like you may have to think about building an extension soon.... and also do still have the old original 5p pieces to play gunfight? when you do finally get the game running . But in todays pence that would be 50p to charge for now
Do you have a cloakroom or somewhere to stow some jackets and motorbike helmets safely? My wife and I were hoping to travel from Northern Ireland on our motorbikes for a visit? I only ask as it would be difficult to keep all that gear on when playing games lol. Cheers.
Yes we do 👍 being a ex Triumph speed triple owner myself I know how difficult it can be with all the gear. Come on over it will be good to see you. Happy new year 🥳
@@TheArcadeArchive Very nice and good to know as a fellow biker. Im currently riding an XJR 1300 and I would like to add that Triumph next as I have always wanted one. Someday. Thank you and look forward to seeing you.
Happy new year 🥳
I was wondering about Paperboy. You should do a 3d scan of the bike handle controller- it would be good to preserve the design, and I've always wanted to 3d print my own
Cool idea! 😎👍
Awesome work my dude 😎💯 I'm In my 50s living in a very rural area so arcade 1ups let me live a bit of that. Closest real arcade is hundreds of miles
Major congrats on your first year Alex 🙂👍
Thanks mate and happy new year 🥳
What an achievement, well done.
Thank you 🙏
You've all done amazing job mate 👍
I'm hoping to get down there sometime this year if possible.
Happy new year 🥳
Grats on the first year. Really looking forward to video about the gun fight when it is working!! and hopefully some vlog during the restoration! Very eager to see how it was.
Thank you and happy new year 🥳
What a fantastic year it's been, Alex. Thanks for letting me be a part of the journey and I can't wait to see what 2024 brings!
Thanks Allan you’ve been a huge help at the museum and it’s much appreciated mate it really is.
Happy new year my good friend
Congratulations on all that you're doing with the arcade - it looks superb in every respect and your passion and commitment really comes through. I've only just come across your channel and thoroughly enjoyed this and the Robocop videos so far. I'm a long way away but definitely plan to visit as soon as I'm able to. Very best of luck for 2024!
Thank you 🙏
Happy new year 🥳
The arcade is an awesome place to visit just wished I lived closer, hopefully get over to see you guys again soon
Great video mate 👍
A year already that's awesome Alex you must be so pleased with how well the Archive has flourished. I'm over this weekend coming and really looking forward to the visit. Hopefully you will have the Rygar jamma up n running for me to show u my stuff. Keep up the good work 😊👌
You coming this Saturday jason ?
@@TheArcadeArchive Yes the 6th 👍
Watching this reminds me of going to WW1 & WW2 air shows with my dad, where all the old guys still kept the planes running. They’re all dead now and I wonder if all of those planes are still working… I suspect a similar fate awaits these machines, especially since they weren’t built to last.
Those airplanes weren’t either but many still fly. Although it’s getting harder to keep them running.
I can't believe it has already been a year, not how much you have achieved in such a short time. We'll done to you and your crew :)
Thank you and happy new year 🥳
Amazing work you've done.
I’ve got bank panic Pcb if you let me know when you’re coming down I’ll make sure it goes in the jamma cab.
Thanks mate and happy new year 🥳
@@TheArcadeArchive awesome! Hope you have a great new year!
Happy New Year, all ;)_~
That Gun Fight is incredible. I'll make the journey down especially just to play that when it's up and running. (I love EM arcade machines) Any ideas of its history? Where was it sited etc?
It’s in Stroud Gloucestershire, link in the description above to book tickets 👍
I'd love Kung Fu Master
One of my favourites 💯👍😁
Absolute classic 😎👍
That was supposedly very good year for the museum... I hope that was not bad for you and yours.
All the best to you and yours in the upcoming year!
Sorry - I've not been able to participate in your Patreon.
No problem happy new year 🥳
Neil sent me here! Subscribed 👍
Congrats on your first year, I hope you see many more. But where's the pinball machines? You can't have an arcade without pinball
Hopefully one day if we get to expand
Thanks!
Looks like you may have to think about building an extension soon.... and also do still have the old original 5p pieces to play gunfight? when you do finally get the game running . But in todays pence that would be 50p to charge for now
We don’t as we would have to have a license so all games are on free play.
Amazing stuff Alex! I hope you have a great new year 😊
Happy new year Mark 🥳
Well done big brother definitely 2024 I will get to the arcade 🔥
I hope you do little bro be nice to see ya.
Happy new year 🥳
@@TheArcadeArchive my wife wants to come up 🤣
Do you have a cloakroom or somewhere to stow some jackets and motorbike helmets safely? My wife and I were hoping to travel from Northern Ireland on our motorbikes for a visit? I only ask as it would be difficult to keep all that gear on when playing games lol. Cheers.
Yes we do 👍 being a ex Triumph speed triple owner myself I know how difficult it can be with all the gear.
Come on over it will be good to see you.
Happy new year 🥳
@@TheArcadeArchive Very nice and good to know as a fellow biker. Im currently riding an XJR 1300 and I would like to add that Triumph next as I have always wanted one. Someday. No need to reply as you have enough to do. I'm just glad that things are panning out so well after so much hard work! Builder, biker, Arcade owner. No doubt a family man too possibly. Thats a lot going on.
What’s the led strip to the top left of this video that shows all the arcade stuff? Where can I get one?
It was made by a friend of mine
All the best for the new year mate.
Happy new year 🥳
Alex, what was the name of that arcade In LA(littlehampton) opposite the station, very small place ? love this .thank you for the video x
It was Smarts amusement’s it had the old rickety Mickey Mouse roller coaster and I remember seeing 3 brand new Gorf machines in a row. We used to get the city saver on the intercity train down in the summer holidays, fond memories 😊
