Srixon Soft Feel Golf Ball Review

  • Today I review the budget friendly Srixon Soft Feel. Srixon SOFT FEEL features their softest FastLayer Core to date.
    FastLayer gradually transitions from a softer inner core to a firm outer edge, behaving like a core with thousands of layers, giving you distance and great feel without compromise.
    We review Srixon's claims as it relates to the Soft Feel ball.

    I went to a Cleveland demo event a couple days ago, the fitter said the best balls for my swing speed would be the Q-star (more expensive) and the Soft Feel (less expensive). I bought 2 dozen Soft Feels we'll see how it goes. He also mentioned playing with the same ball for consistency. I usually just play whatever balls are in my bag but I think his point is valid.

      @mistahshorthitter  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      His point is probably the most valid point of all. Playing the same ball is EXTREMELY important!

    The Soft Feel has been my preferred ball since I started. Hard to beat the performance at that price point. This year, though, at the behest of my friend, I'm trying out the Q Star Tour. Im liking them so far but I would have no problem going back to the Soft Feel. I do like the green version, which the Q Stars don't offer.

      I played the Qstar tour for a couple years. Good ball. Thank you for watching!

    As always, really valuable to see the club used, the tracer flight, and the numbers. Comparison to a Pro-V also gave insight. When I find balls, I always keep the Soft Feel, but I prefer Callaway Supers...hot, fast, and saft, especially off the putter.
    I found this video very helpful

    I like the look of your Hy- wood shots. I really don't do putting strokes off the green very well. I struggle with speed control if there is any fluffy , irregular grass in the way. What I do find works better is the chip-putt shot I saw on Mike Bury's channel. I use the toe of my 8 iron in upright stance, using a putting stroke.

    Very nice video. I love seeing the performance of budget golf balls. Im a higher handicapper (18), and I’m not sure how much the ball affects my score. There is a ball that I used exclusively this year, mainly for the price, but I felt the performance was good too. I would love to see a review on them. They are the Wilson Smartcore. They market them as being able to adapt to your swing speed. I’m not sure about that, but they seem to work for my game.

    • @mistahshorthitter
      @mistahshorthitter  ปีที่แล้ว

      I may have to try that ball. I have a couple other Wilson balls that I have tried. I haven't really released the videos yet. Thank you for watching!

    Great swing and finish 👍 I’ve been using the red version of the soft feel and i like the feel of all clubs including putter plus is easy to spot should I go off target 😂

    The Srixon Soft Feel is what I play. Really like them for the price. I’m always drawn to the balls with the softer feel. ⛳️
    Have you tried the Taylormade Distance + yet? A friend of mine loves them. Thinking about trying them out myself as I always see deals on them.
    Do you use the putting alignment aide on golf balls?

      @@mistahshorthitter great videos! I may have missed it, but I think the titleist tru feel would be a great ball to test! Curious how it stacks up... or a head to head to head with 3 balls in this category. Soft feel, supersoft and trufeel 🙂

    I switched from Warbird to Softfeel because I felt the WB was rolling off the back of the green with the irons too often. Otherwise the WB isn't a bad ball. Softfeel is an amazing value. You can sometimes find them $15 a dozen. I may try Q Star on courses which I tend not to lose them.
    I'd love to see Warbird vs Marathon vs TaylorMade Dist+ if you ever get to it.

      Tried these last week Usually play Callaway supersoft with my 80 swingspeed. Since it has higher compression I get greater distances. When Im having off day with my driver though, my misses are greater Will stick with Srixon esp since Golfers Warehouse has buy 2 get one free. Great review. Thanks.

      I tried both the Soft Feel and Super Soft. I felt the former was too squishy for me and just stuck to the driver face. It felt like I was over compressing. For putting, I was constantly short. Now the latter, I liked it more. Distance off of driver wasn’t outstanding, but it could stick any green. So buttery off the putter. Both were matte finish. I’m not wild about that.
