Wow dude that’s awesome. I appreciate the kind words. I’m glad I got this tank. I was kind of worried about the height of the tank when doing research but it’s honestly the perfect tank. I’ve had tones of different tanks over the years mostly fresh water but this is by far the best footprint I’ve had for a smaller tank.
@@RespectTheReef just got a JBJ 15 set up about 3 months ago, first tank ever. Things are going smooth got some lps and softies in there. Ive got the bug now and am already lookin for another tank😂
You don’t need to move the coral when u just get it on your tank, just go to the options of the light and Click acclimation and set the days and what % u want the lights from ur current setting/schedule it will ramp up little by little and don’t shock the new corals under the light
Tank looks good. I run two AI hydra 32hd on my 40g breeder running the world wide corals schedule for their 100g reef tank. The green slimer is an acropora. How did you attach the rock to your overflow?
Hey I really appreciate it. Love the hydra 32hd. That was my next choice but I already had an AI prime. The rock is actually a magnetic frag rock I got from bulk reef supply.
@@RespectTheReef I think it's better to run the smaller lights versus one big unit over a tank. I've been considering getting some of the magnetic rocks since glueing frags to the glass doesn't always hold up after some time.
I have a 40 breeder and have been looking for a light setting to really make the corals pop. Not sure why it looks nothing like this when I set my 2 AI Prime 16hd's to this setting. Wonder if they are mounted too high or maybe I need another one for a 36" wide tank. Starting to think after all this time messing with lighting that I just don't have enough spread for my tank.
Yeah good chance you might need another one to help with shadowing but once you find a setting don’t change it the corals will adjust. Everytime you change a setting the corals have to readjust. I also use heavy blues and low white so that helps the corals pop.
@@Coral-reef. I haven’t tested nitrates in over a year. If I had to guess they stay around 10. I’ll test them and get back to you. I do a water change when my acans start to suck in. It’s a good sign it’s time for a water change. I have so many corals I believe they soak up a lot of the nitrates
@@RespectTheReef you know man im actually a little frustrated right now because my acan corals have been closed up completely for days now with only a little bit of meat showing on them. My nitrates were at 25 so i did a 25% water chage in my 60 gallon yesterday so hopefully that helps but man they were so beautiful and fluffy and to see them now completely closed up has me depressed lol any tips ?
@@Coral-reef. how long have you had your tank? I lost my first 3 acans I’ve tried and just a couple weeks ago I had a small colony die. While the other ones were just fine. Which it’s just part of it. Those other acans have already overtaken that spot the other colony was in. I just did the test with 2 different tests one was 5ppm the other was 10ppm
I have the ai prime 16 hd, how do you set ramp down i only see the ramp up. The light just goes right off at the end. Any suggestions please Thanks for the video
You know those yellow dots at the bottom you move left or right to determine what time the lights come on. Add another one of those. You hit the plus button to add one, set it to 0 percent on all the light settings. Then slide it over to when to want the lights to go off.
So...is it better to change light settings all at once? Im in the beginning fase. Zoa's ,caulustrea, anthelia and gsp. Im running all on 60% now. I dont want casualties but as you say constant adjusting till Im there puts in stress also
I wouldn’t over think it too much. Find a setting that works for you and don’t change it. The corals will adapt to the light setting you provide. Most corals don’t need a long light cycle.
Thanks, learning a lot from your channel. When you mention stability? Does that go for temperature to? Or do you allow temperature a degree or so to go down at night?
great little video great tank and set-up good info and hints what to avoid
I appreciate that!
Great looking lagoon!!
Thank you I really appreciate that
Thanks for doing the light video, very informative

Dude this tank is so clean🙌🏼 Ive been lookin at the same tank for my next one and this video just gave me all the inspiration

Hi friend, one question, how many lamps do I need to cover a 75 gallon tank. 48 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 21 inches high.
@@acuariodepesesmarinos504 depends on which light. If it’s the prime I’d do 3

should one ai prime 16 hd be enough for a waterbox peninsula 15? 50x35x35 cm
