Jessica Burden not 100 sure but I believe a residency is 3-5 years but she can also specialize in something so 1-3 more years !! I think it all depends on the individual!!
I don't remember the time i first time i started watching these but they are so addicting. When i have surgery i want her to be taking care of me. Thank you for your positive attitude even when it gets busy
I mean, she's already an MD... but yeah can't wait till she's an attending, fully certified IM doctor! Or, I cant remember if she's mentioned whether she wants to further subspecialize?
I was in the hospital this month (surgery) and while in there, someone forgot to plug in my chest tubes after I using the restroom. It gave me a full pneumothorax in my left lung and a partial in my right. All the alarms starting going off because my oxygen dropped like crazy. After all the craziness, I had a doctor and a 2nd year resident come in, I looked at her and said “Oh, you’re like Siobhan!”, she got so excited a was like “Yes!! You watch her too?!” We totally bonded at that moment 😂
Hey Text Chat, hope you get this comment. There is a youtuber who is a pathologist and does day in the life and stuff. Dr. Cellini is his name. Goodluck with your dream to bring a pathologist
Siobhan, I just want to say that I love your videos. Finding your channel helped me to finally take the plunge and go back to school. And I managed to get accepted into nursing school and I’m on track to finish my first semester with A’s. Thank you for the inspiration!

Hey, you have really inspired me to become a doctor. I want to be a trauma surgeon. Thank you so much for filming these, you are showing me the kind of environment I will have to work in. Keep up the good work.
I have so much praise to offer to Doctors and Nurses. You all are absolute angels. I'd also like to give recognition to everyone who works in the hospital environment, from the people who keep everything clean, to those who keep meds and equipment well stocked, to the kitchen staff who keep patients and staff well fed, to the administration who keep everything organized, the technicians, and so much more. There are so many people working together, it is amazing. I'm a heart attack survivor. Four stents and a double bypass. I get emotional just watching your videos. (I posted this same comment in one of your earlier videos, but you might not have the chance to see it, so I deliberately posted it again)
So glad I found your channel! I just found out that I passed my boards to become a registered nurse yesterday and seeing your hospital vlogs makes me so excited to start working in a hospital :-)
You are so amazing. Bringing so much positivity to how busy your environment gets. I am also a health care worker. And I don’t know how you get through all your shifts and still smiling. Stay safee MD SIOBHAN. 💕💕
My friend was in his last year of nursing school and spent a semester in Ghana. It changed his life! Now he wants to become a doctor and applied to med school!! I hope you get that amazing opportunity!!!
Thank you for doing this video! I’ve always wondered what it is you do other than 24 hour shifts. Thank you for all you do, educating and inspiring people like me. 💗💗
Having survived two cancers. (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and Thyroid Cancer), 3 strokes one moderate and two small. Double pneumonia twice and a bone marrow transplant, i could never have gotten through all of this if it wasn't for my doctors and team. Thank you for what you do.
It’s honestly true all Canadians are the most hardworking, loving humans! You put so much work in, we are all extremely proud of you, not to mention you’re beautiful too 💗
Hello from Mississippi - Anyone else here just to see Siobhan's positive influence and that awesome smile? I'll be honest YEP it was your smile and the way you present yourself that keeps me coming back. You are like a breath of fresh air with the uplifting influence and you seem to have tons of energy unless its the coffee..lol Keep up the great videos
I do acute medicine in the UK in a very busy hospital. It’s always insightful watching your videos and seeing how much different medicine is over seas to how we do it back in the UK. Almost four years now in Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine and as much as the days are exhausting I love my job.
I never got the flu shot until I was informed about herd immunity and I realized it's not about me--it's about the people I care about and society as a whole.
Hi Dr. Siobhan, I love supporting all your videos. I like your Code Blue Emergency caring in your hospital for patients. Your health service is really adorable Siobhan
I’m only 12 and I’m always looking forward for you to post new videos cause I have watched them all, and you are my inspiration to be a doctor when I grow up😍
Hi Sioban, I found your videos in my undergrad, in times where I was really worried that I couldn't get into med school. It was perfect timing because you inspired me so much to keep working hard. I am proud and happy to say that I did get into medical school and that I hope to become an internal medicine doctor. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to put together these amazing videos. We appreciate you so much doctor!
I am a former Canadian RN and I wish all of our residents were as beautiful and sweet as you. I love these vlogs because they are so true to what happens in our hospitals and you give amazing information. I worked internal medicine and palliative care. I think we need Violin MD merch ...
You make me more motivated to study for my classes as a high schooler cuz sometimes it can feel like all the hard work we do in high school doesn't matter
I'm so happy to be watching this video cos i always want to see how internal medicine rotation is. I'm also a medical student and i have a channel. It's not easy combining both but i have sure learnt a lot from you!! Thanks for always teaching me!! I don't know if you will see this comment. I see you as a mentor! I love how you give insights to what goes on in the hospital. I’m currently a medical intern in China rotating internal medicine and it’s good to see how things work in your side of the world.
Since your last code blue video, I learned how to run a code blue as a nurse and read EKGs! Honestly, your videos have been so helpful with my studying. I actually sent your video explaining code blue to my classmates! So thank you! And I’m so excited to hear your trip got approved! 😄👍🏻
We appreciate you uploading and making time for your little TH-cam audience (not so little anymore) lol. I know editing and uploading is probably the last thing you want to do after a long day at work.
I'm interested in medicine but more as a hobby, not as something I'd want to do for a job. It's really interesting to be able to see what a day is like for someone out working in the field. I love your videos, thank you for making them!
Hi Siobhan !! Another great video and I always look forward to watching your videos ,so keep up the great work!! You’ll definitely be a welcome addition to any hospital and whenever you finish your residency then you’ll be going full swing-you have a lot of unique qualities -you’re efficient, organized and well liked by everyone!! As someone who spends a fair amount of time in the hospital, I appreciate your videos so much! It's so interesting to see things from your side of things. I do wonder how much different things are here in America though.
You seem so genuine! I have no idea how I came across your channel but 3 videos later I’m glad I did. Best of luck in your career. I am happy to virtually support you!

Emily Binshtok She’s mentioned wanting to go into Rheumatology, I think!
Emily Binshtok Her rheumatology fellowship begins this month! I wonder if the next video uploaded will, in fact, feature this.
