I was in the hospital this month (surgery) and while in there, someone forgot to plug in my chest tubes after I using the restroom. It gave me a full pneumothorax in my left lung and a partial in my right. All the alarms starting going off because my oxygen dropped like crazy. After all the craziness, I had a doctor and a 2nd year resident come in, I looked at her and said “Oh, you’re like Siobhan!”, she got so excited a was like “Yes!! You watch her too?!” We totally bonded at that moment 😂

I wish it was like tv sometimes with results being so quick 😂 I’ve been struggling with injured wrist since July 2018. Took months to get MRI, month for results, months to meet with surgeon ( who seemed to just shrug his shoulders and send me on my way in 5 minutes.) been doing Physio since Nov.... know any medical professionals in the area that know a thing or two about wrists? 😅

I've been through alcohol withdrawal many many times and had a seizure the last time and boy does it suck and is scary.. Definitely not worth it lol. I'm 33 days sober now though! 👍😁👍

We also have to pay for medications some of which are expensive even during my hospital stay the hospital didn’t provide my most expensive meds a few years ago.

There’s several different types of doctors who respond to codes with different years of experience. Usually the one with the most experience calls the shots. Each hospital is different though.
Just found u on youtube. I am loving yr video's. I had blood poisoning a year ago after a hugh operation in October 2018. Just getting a bit of energy back in the last month or so but my strenght will take a while to get back. Loads of complications since the operation. But I'm alive.Thats all that matters.

usually when you see patients in a clinic or outpatient setting, or a regular day seeing patients when not on call, you have to wear professional clothing. but when you're on a long call day or when doing procedures you can get away with scrubs

Great question! I can try to include that in a video, but the short answer is that there has been a bit of a culture shift where most doctors where I work don't wear one. partly to eliminate some of the hierarchy and partly for hygiene reasons (how often do those coats get washed?!)

Is the healthcare system in Canada free like the NHS? Or is it similar to the US system?
