Another great video, thanks. It started to get a bit more interesting in the last few minutes when you had to work out where the other aeroplanes were. Makes you realise just how important a control tower is at an airport. I know Max knows what he is doing but made me sit up in my chair & started looking for traffic.
At 28:28 you go right over the top of the Fox Studios. You can see it off your starboard wing. I often see the jets on final from there. It’s going to be a shame when they close SMO down and the developers turn it into some more condos that LA doesn’t need. Lots of history there.

Compare that Pueblo FBO experience with what Premier One Driver had at Chicago Midway. Paid over $300 just to pick up 1 passenger on the ramp 20 minutes. Ridiculous. I guess they don’t want GA jets to visit Midway.

Pueblo still got those hootchie girls pumping gas. Awesome airport. All runways have ILS plus some have that Radar approach where ATC tells you your course corrections in degrees. Pueblo was the original Looking Glass Planes locations for Norad thats why so many runways and ILS and non presicion approaches. Shriever AFB also uses it as secondary next to Peterson AFB in case nuclear war hits it they can helicopter 15 minutes to Pueblo. But after the copper smelting plant closed Pueblo kinda became the hood and only things there are some big prisons. Thr womens prison for Colorado is there. But industry kinda hauled outta there. I'm a little surprised the ATC didn't urge him to, as they have to partially shut down the North Complex at LAX to protect for the missed on the RNAV 21 when tower is closed. I've definitely had them request it in the air.
@@N1120A ATC should not “request” IFR cancellation, pilot is entitled to cancel on the ground . It’s a liability issue if the cancel and go missing, no SAR is automatically initiated.

It's a rather small matter I think, but I'm wondering why you don't use the standard phraseology below the flight levels. For example instead of 1-2 thousand, you say twelve thousand. Is there a particular reason, or is it just habit? The other question I had was: is Santa Monica a non-towered airport in the early evening?
30:04 Those speed brake flaps are tiny, hard to believe that they are critical for the aircraft to stop. I'd guess that wheel brakes+reverse thrust (if this plane has it) play a much greater role.
Hey Citation Max, I’ve been practicing with the CJ4 in MS Flight Sim 2020 and I don’t crash too much anymore. If you’re ever in my area, is there any chance I could take your plane for a spin (a figurative spin, meaning go fly it, not a literal “spin”)? I could pay a rental fee of like $50 an hour and I’ll pay for the gas I use too. Also, if I have a chick with me, let’s just pretend like I own the plane around her. What do you say?

And I'm sure you are allowed to "practice" before you try to get your ratings. Also, this is between me and Citation Max. It's not your plane. Cool you can use a generator as an assisting starter motor? Can you or is it ok to tell the ground crew the GPU was weak or exhausted? Also it is possible the connection is not tight or clean enough to pass the amount of needed current?

Curious why you didn't just cancel IFR when you had SMO in sight instead of waiting to contact ATC on the ground.
My only guess would be something to do with night? I’d also be interested to know though.
