Hi I’m 50 years old and I am an avid aviation enthusiast and a longtime viewer of your channel. I point out my age because I wanted to mention that I’ve had the pleasure of playing Microsoft Flight Simulator for 41 years since it was released in 1982. I play each session as if I’m really flying in that I’m adhering to all the guidelines from the pre-flight checks to making the air speed is alive call to the flight itself and finally the landing and everything in between. Whether I’m flying VFR or IFR it’s always exciting to fly under each of these conditions and following the associated rules. This is one of the things I enjoy most when I’m watching you conduct these flights as you do these things for real. Thank you so much for taking us on your aviation journey I will always watch. Jerry M
Folks probably underestimate, Max the incredible skill and short term memory it takes to both narrate a video of your piloting duties while communicating with ATC (Air Traffic Control) nearly simultaneously. Congrats on the fine job you do of both!
Great to see you back, Max! Love your videos - thank you so much for your contribution to aviation as a whole which is so important. Hoping you're staying safe.
@@MrCellulardr Me too! After weeks of bingeing for me. (I've been a longtime viewer of Max for a few years since my interest into aviation exploded further but am a fairly recent subscriber now).
Thank you Max, to you and your family for giving so much back. I live in Scotland and my daughter works at a school where the kids have the same situations as the ones at the school your family supports. Their school relies on food donations from local business's and the public and they too have to sometimes have their clothes washed or are provided with a meal. They all get a slice of toast before going home, regardless of whether they come from a rich family or a poor one. I feel it's important to give back. Children and animals are helpless and deserve help. Thanks again Max
Max, I was drawn to your channel a while ago and just love your videos. It is especially lovely to hear you talk about the work your family does. You get what you put out, and your family appear to be blessed in many ways, just as they are able to bless others and give them opportunities to “soar” as you put it. Love it!
always thought that someone like yourself just taking children around on flights to see their own town.. where other cities are.. that there is something bigger than they are presently understanding.. even if you're not actually taking them anywhere, just getting them up in the air and seeing things can completely change some kids.. ive seen it happen with kids before.. they start to understand there is more than the small area they have been... dunno... if i could fly, i would think that would be a great experience..
I was beginning to think all of the pilots i subscribe to quit unceremoniously. You, Greg, Baron, ( I know 310 pilot actually did). Only Steve-o seems to be posting with any regularity these days. Glad to see you're still hanging in there!!!!
Max!! So good to see you again. Always so impressed with your professionalism and attitude. Safe travels!! The Camarillo departure person was working it!
Max, you are the calmest private pilot that I have seen here on YT. Flying must to have been flowing through your veins before you were born. If ever I could afford to hire a private pilot, you would definitely be on the very short list. Great flying with you, stay safe.
I recently found your videos Max. I appreciate the professionalism of your piloting and narration. More importantly, thank you for giving back to the public school system. I am not yet a pilot myself, at 36 yrs old I've so far let it slip through my wings, but I love the atmosphere of the flying community.
Ay finally did a full video out of my home airport! Saw my plane at 5:39 😬 Camarillo is almost always overcast in the morning - the tower staff is always amazing there though!
Hey Max, Thanks for your awesome videos! Way to go to help those unfortunate in the NYC schools. That’s fantastic! Keep up the great work and the inspiration to others. Safe flying
We have it all these days at DIA and Centennial; wind sheer, microbursts, lightning, heavy precipitation, moderate turbulence, ground stops, pattern holds due to weather; never a dull moment 😅. Welcome back to Colorado! Love your videos.
I highly recommend a visit to the CAF SoCal facility at Camarillo - absolutely stunning collection of warbirds there, and the staff are amazing! There's a great restaurant/cafe at the airport too so make a day of it if you're in the area!
Love watching you fly Max. I’m not a pilot but I throughly enjoy “riding “ along with you. I like hearing ATC talking to the different pilots. Glad to hear what you do for the youth. Do you ever fly to Germany or any European places? See you on the next flight, Max. Be safe.🛩
Max, what a beautiful flight. It makes me miss flying all the more. Those avionics are so nice. Better than any airliner, including the 787. You truly are blessed to have such a nice airplane to fly your parents in.
If you ever need a "road dog" just let me know. Student pilot here who loves your videos - and I have a little free time these days in between jobs! Holler if you need a wizo.
Waypoint Cafe ... a favorite amongst locals and not just pilots; saw my neighborhood as you held just short of 26; I can see the airport from my backyard; it's been May Grey and June Gloom ... haven't seen the sun that much; it's nice and chill though - no heat!
I really love your videos. You make operating a complex machine look easy. Your attention to checklists, briefings, professionalism on comms, and your teaching are awesome. I think that watching you helps me to be a better pilot. Thank you.
I lived for years about 1 miles from the Camarillo Airport. I took my flight training at El Monte and Torrance decades ago. You are correct...Camarillo Airport is awesome. Animal control is adjacent and I adopted my pup from there. He was a great passenger!
Always such an honor to ride along with you Max! I'm not a bit surprised to hear that you've been busy giving back to your community. You and your family are amazing people so keep up the good work and I send you my blessings.
I envy you Max, I'm 68 now and missed my opportunity to learn to fly. I fly jets in msfs2020 it's fun and great realism, but it's great to watch a real pilot. Fly safe Max.
Saw a CAF hangar with an AF C-47/DC-3 out front as you were taxiing. Got to board the commercial version (Pan American DC-3) at Spokane's Felts Field (SFF) yesterday (6/10/23). That was fun climbing up that tail dragger to the cockpit. It has swivel reclining chairs with ash tray in the arm.
Camarillo was an Air Force base long ago. It has a portion of the paved runway available because of noise abatement for the houses to the east. Best hamburgers in California.
Max I haven’t been able to watch your videos for a while but I’m baacckk ! Fantastic job working with the kids in P.S. schools, I’d love to see you in Oshkosh but will be recovering from surgery. I’ll be watching you none the less.Glad you’re back
'Greased it.' Those are great words to hear. Thank you, Max, for the fun ride. Very cool approach, no doubt. Beautiful video capture all the way in. Thank you for taking the time to share your flights and experiences with us, and the work you do for the kids. Your family's benevolence is incredible and you're videos are awesome. 👍👍
Amazing family. Some say he was handed a golden ticket. He IS a golden ticket. You are, or become, what you think and believe. He worked very hard and through many obstacles to get there. Love you Max. PPL .
As a kid, during the 60's, Camarillo was Air Force. So cool watching the "century" fighters fly off. Pt. Mugu was Navy and there was always a healthy rivalry. When it closed, we would practice figure 8's using the water tower.
Another great video with very good comments as you fly the route. KAPA and the Denver Area was home base for many years with Pilatus. Several trips in the Citation and CE-421 throughout the years. Always felt great arriving after an ILS-35R. Occasional severe turbulence on the descent out of FL180 when coming in from the southwest. I have done more than one "weather swap" with my route due to the thunderstorms close in or a few hundred miles away. Glad to see the GARMIN working for your needs. If KAPA may go below minimums, I always filed KCOS or KPUB as alternate and advised Denver ARTCC to place that info in "REMARKS". One night, it saved me an interrogation by ATC as to why I wished to head to my alternate. They even queried me if I wished to squawk a "certain code." Oh well, ATC was just doing their job!
I buddy how's it going it's philip. What a brilliant flight you made it look so easy. That fog makes it very scary doesn't it bother you. Awesome skills to land buddy phil.
Great flight as usual Max and fab to hear about your wider charitable endeavours with PS 169 in addition to Citation Mom's work with homing dogs. Have a great weekend!
Awesome early evening approach into Denver. I was wondering when you were going to breakout of the clouds on the approach. Good job. See ya next time!!!
Great videos. Thanks for posting them. I'm trying to get footage of me doing my commercial training and starting a channel myself... No content yet. lol. All of the radio communications you have really helps with practicing my radio communications.
Hey Max… I did my first cross country from Torrance, to Camarillo, to Santa Barbara and then back to Torrance. I remember flight following was too busy to talk to me… but I did do a good job avoiding pt huineme MOA.
I was watching a random aviation channel not to long ago and he was headed to Chicago from Westchester. I was like hey, that’s Max’s airport…slowed down the taxi video and looked for 2RF but didn’t see it.
Hi Max.. good to see your videos and love the history for the kids... thanks for sharing ... I am not in Instagram but always waiting for you videos here... All the Best !!!

Always a joy to see your professionalism on full display. Nice job, Max!
Thank you very much. That means a lot!
Wow! My two favorite aviation channels showing love to each other 😮 this made my day

Max, did you eat at The Perfect Landing Restaurant at Denver Jet Center? The Salmon Ceasar Salad is the go-to lunch item.
Nice of you to help kids that are underprivileged, keeps you grounded.
Great to see you back, Max! Love your videos - thank you so much for your contribution to aviation as a whole which is so important. Hoping you're staying safe.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching. Take care

That shoutout on departure was awesome! It's so cool that you're 3000 miles from home and someone says hello.
Guy who comes from an obvious wealthy family and is so nice and humble. Love to see it.
I still say that if family members are on board while single pilot, I would train each of them on how to land. Your Dad is 100% spot on.
It’s the executive insurance policy requiring the 2 pilots.

Love your videos! Keep it up man! Love you!
Good grief, I hadn't seen anything from you in so long I thought you'd stopped posting stuff for whatever reason. Glad to have you back, Max! 👍
New to CitationMax. How fun for an old time pilot to sit right seat. Sort of. :-) EXCELLENT video editing.

4:45 you could've moved away from those hangars in the non-movement area to pickup the clearance, instead of jet washing the narrow alley.
Thank you, you have given me such a confidence for the small people with your dedication, thank you
I used to hangar my PA-30 at Camarillo. Great little airport.
