    The Mobilemix looks like it could be a Swiss Army knife kind of mixer, being useful as a desk interface, battery powered tool for remote field/gig work and other things I am sure I have not thought of yet. The Showbox looks amazing for its size. I imagine I will see a few buskers backpacking these around. But I can't help but be intrigued by the ProFx line. Mackie builds great mixers and -- while I am pleased with my current mixers -- it's always interesting to see how their mixers evolve.

    I'm just dipping my toe into Mackie products for the first time. I bought a Mackie Freeplay live - simply because it was the lightest battery powered 'pa' type speaker (4 kg) and could be controlled remotely via Bluetooth on their Connect app. It's, sort of, a very entry level Showbox setup - maybe I'll move up to the Showbox next (but it is 9.5 kg - so maybe I need a roadie).
    But, in addition to the quality of the product, what I really like about the Mackie company already is their sense of fun. The instruction manual states that you should save the box for your cat to play in, and also remember to "act surprised" when it jumps out at you. Many of us do music for fun. I don't mind the trite corporate Marketing Messages in an advert, but I hate it when a company continues the 'marketing speak' in their user manuals - I've already bought the product, you don't need to keep selling it to me!
    So well done to Mackie for lightening up a bit. I found it funny... and I don't even have a cat.
    The speaker's good too.

    The DLZ Creator XS is perfect for myself as I need it to be more compact and would be a set it and leave it type affair so would not need the faders.
    The NDI in that is perfect for streaming when creating music... I can use my interface for that and stream that audio to it to stream without any qwarms.
    The Mackie MainStream will be a great addition to the gaming/streaming setup, putting everything together and making it a lot easier for everything to sync also.
    I also like the mixers, but will need to explore those better as there are many other options in this area... but, if they have the some funky DSP with pitch correction, that might be good for some improve live live-streams.

    I love the mainstream product so far based on it's specs...BUT, what i don't see is the HDMI spec. I know the Rode Streamer X has freesync on that hdmi AND it does 1080p240, 1440p144, and 4k60. If the mackie mainstream does that, RIP streamer X. BUT, it's really helpful on having that USB C hub for additional webcams and usb mics along side with XLR. This would be super helpful for dual pc setups (if the HDMI supports 1080p240 or 1440p144hz) or single pc with console gaming. I need answers! lol
    Also, does the software have virtual channels that are separate (unlike rode unify)? Pleaseeeee lol

    What I really want to see is a price under 500$ on the DLZ XS, I get that the full size is much expensive for a reason, but also to beat Rodecaster duo at 500$ it would have to deliver something special. I still wish today to get a 1 mic input for streaming under 500$

    looks like the XS loses two additional headphone ports. I like them because i can mute mic monitoring on the headphones on my current creator. On the 1/4 outs/speaker outs mackie does not have the quickmix feature/option to mute the mic which is un-useable for me unless someone can show me how to turn off mic monitoring on the 1/4 outs lol!

    How about an update to fix the original DLZ Creator! Having your audio split every 18 minutes because of the fat 32
    Old file system! Stop hocking equipment for these companies instead of calling them out for the products they put out! without supporting it.

    • @DarkCornerStudios
      @DarkCornerStudios  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do not hock.
      I am always willing to critique.
      As far as I know...all the audio that is split has zero loss and it takes less than a second to stitch it together in a daw.
      Sounds rather petty to launch a hit video...just saying

    • @EtherGamerNetwork
      @EtherGamerNetwork 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DarkCornerStudios I feel like one update! In 6 months and you release another unit! And you don’t hold them accountable! The Rodecaster is the industry standard! To fix something and get it right they’ll have a great patch that keeps improving that unit continuously. Also, the first month they’ll have at least minimum of 2 patches fixing, any release problems. And the quality of the Rode is higher than the Mackie DLZ!
      Initial release 1998, FAT32, limitations, Limited to 4GB files and lower. Can have up to 16TB partitions. File size limit 4GB.
      Initial release 2006, exFAT No realistic partition file limits! Also the file size limit up to 16 exbibytes. They should have at least been using exFAT format! In a coming patch they will be switching to exFAT to allow you to format your SD card. We agreed to disagree. The proof is in the product.

    • @DarkCornerStudios
      @DarkCornerStudios  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @EtherGamerNetwork the point is I don't think they consider it a flaw.
      A mixer that size 8s t considered "portable" to begin with and probably aren't going to put man hours into fixing a system that works as they designed it.
