- Get to know us by answering your questions. We asked you on our community wall what questions you had for us so we answered a few so you can get to know us as a couple better. We had a hard time deciding which ones to answer so we're hoping maybe this is something we can do throughout the year.

At a certain point in your life you just have to do what makes you happy. For me personally I’m 6’1. Society thinks that just because I’m a tall woman, I should be with a tall man or I’d look better with a tall man and that’s just complete BS. What kind of person would I be if my soul mate was shorter than me and I turned him down just because we look “weird” together? I’m sorry but no. That’d be like not dating someone because of their eye or skin color. I’m so so happy for you Maya and glad you and Max have decided to be together no matter what comes your way. ❤️

My husband is 6.5 years younger than me and that was a huge hurdle for me to get over. My first husband passed away (he was 6.5 older crazy I know) and my Bestfriend told me, I would marry again and he would be younger. I told her no way, because I always loved older men! Well we will celebrate 10 years of marriage in June and it’s one of the BEST decisions I’ve ever made!! So God bless your union and NEVER stop laughing!! We laugh daily at nothing sometimes 😂😂😂

I get it, I'm 14 years older than my husband. He was my friend first and it just went from there. We also had issues with other ppl, but in the end it was not what everybody wanted but what we wanted. He is my best friend and the love of my life. It's been 8 yrs now but feels like yesterday.

I love this couple. Its great seeing Maya so happy and free to just be herself. I just turned 30, never had a relationship, never been on a date, etc and to see her so happy makes me happy for her. You always hear people say there's someone for everyone. I believe that is true for most people, not all. You see it all the time people have left this world without finding love. They are definitely blessed to find each other.

Regarding the age gap, you guys seem highly compatible & Max seems very mature for a 26-year-old, kind of worldly... not a typical 26-year-old here in the States who seems to enjoy just sitting around playing video games. BTW, he has got some beautiful blue eyes!

I can totally relate to the idea of dating people who looks like me. I used to be like that too until I met my husband who is a danish (a conservative country not to mention) and that changes everything. He appreciates me for who I am and never asks questions more than he needs to. I am glad that you feel the same way now. :)

Hey Maya and Max, I just wanted to share with you something that I noticed about you Maya! Your hair is back at the state it was (length wise) when you chose to cut it a several years ago, and start anew! its like a full circle moment for you at the point where your at now with Max!
I remember watching Maya when I was going into high school, Maya actually looked the age she was. I’m 22 years old now and i still watch maya and seeing her with her husband ( max ) she looks absolutely radiant,happy, and youthful !!!! Since you all’s house isn’t in a major city you’ll learn Swedish a lot easier. I’m an black American who’s lived in Stockholm for almost 18 years and understand Swedish but rarely speak it because people respond back in English when I try.
Side note: my wife is 12 years younger than I am and we met at you all’s specific age and it was a huge deal to me at first.
