D: I also lack a save file with Sialeeds before she leaves, so I can't record the Sialeeds/Jeane/Nelis unite regardless unless I play through half the game in order to recruit Nelis. D:
I do play for the story, but when the visuals actually hurt to watch, it makes the game weaker as a whole. Suikoden 2 had great visuals, fun game play, and amazing story! I played a little bit of 5 before I gave up, I played 1-5, 1 and 2 definately being the best, 3 was terrible. 4 was slightly better than 3, and 5 was boring me. If the story got better that would have been one thing, but thus far I wasn't impressed by anything in that game. Voices, story, design, gameplay, etc.
The graphics r not good. But don't play this game for the graphics. Play for the story!! It's as good & deep as suiko 2. I don't like suiko 3 & 4 because the story is just bad.
Wow. Final Fantasy 7 had better graphics. I gave up at Suikoden III when I saw their terrible combos, but this is just the icing on the crap cake. Not only do they not unite, but the moves are generic and so long that they're putting me to sleep.
FF7 graphics are good, except the characters. But overall the game is great so you don't care for it. For me the whole ps2 era had no good jrpgs, prefer snes + ps1

I'm playing this on my Playstation 2 right now and I can't believe how much better it looks using this emulator.

Yeah, they could've made the unites better, but the Suikoden series had good graphics for their time.
