yeeah I feel the same way about that I used to run with iron sites on all my sniper rifles in hardcore mode and would rack up 60 kills per conquest match, now im lucky if i get 5 to 10 more kills than i do deaths now :(
Always use the 1906. ZH-29 with detachable mag is fine for long range use. It can't have the rate of fire upgrade and it at the same time, so might as well use what's unique to it. That's why I use the 1906, because I prefer the higher rate of fire without having to spec for it. Also it's really nice looking.

The Selbstlader was the first gun I leveled to Rank 10 and didn’t even notice it. Getting the other Self-Loading Rifles there was a chore, so in my book, the Selbstlader is better if for no other reason than being way more fun. I also think it’s important to note that if you equip the detachable magazines, you cannot equip Trigger Job, meaning the gun is worse at closer ranger, which is ironically the place where having detachable magazines is the best to have.
I've actually been using the Selb1906 a lot lately. My go-to was the Mass44, love using DMR's/SLR's. And this one is very powerful, 2 shot killer. But with only 5 shots and a slow reload you really gota' be accurate can be very unforgiving if you miss =/. And the Upwards Recoil Specialization is a Must, Imo. Cheers!
The Selb is easily my favorite of the 2, I used it a ton on my medic in BF1 and on my scout in BF5. The reload is beautiful and it isnt too much different from the other gun.
Selb for me definitely! I didn't use it all that much before so I just decided to give it a try and I ranked it up to lvl 6 in one round of Breakthrough, went 55-5
I didn't even know the ZH exists but I saw it randomly in prematch and I'm like sure I'll use it, don't know what it is or how to use it but I'll give it a go. I then proceeded to get it close to rank 10 in 2 matches. I love the ZH
There is something special about the selbslader 1906, it’s not my most used gun from bf1 but I played with it a lot and got a lot of kills and I feel attached to that gun
Why I feel that Selbstlader have more horizental recoil, less bullet velocity compared to ZH-29 as I always have bad performance than when consistance shot at mid-long range using Selb than ZH29 even using the bipod.
I use the 2x scoppe on the Selb anyways so the stripper clip reload is faster, it shoots faster, and looks cooler to me. That luger action is very cool. Probably will use that but I'll give the ZH a fair shake

Sorry to ask this KK, but what specializations would you choose for either weapon with a scope equipped? Usually you say it or show it in your video if it is a single weapon you are talking about. I use both I just want to see if I have the best set-up. I would appreciate it. Maybe in the reply section you could tell me.
I prefer detachable mags for the ZH-29 (rather than trigger job) high velocity bullets and recoil buffer. I use the recoil buffer on the 1906 too, with quick reload and quick aim

I prefer the 1906. Over my recent bfv period I have used it probably more than any other weapon in the game. Mainly just because I notice my ratio tends to be better for that weapon than any other weapon in the game. I have even gotten pretty good at using it in close range, although for close range I almost always use the revolver. IMHO I think a seasoned player would do better with either the ZH or the 1906 than with the single shot sniper weapons.
Honestly use whichever gun is closer to level 4. because it’ll be so rare that you’d have done better with the opposite gun it basically dosent matter just use what you like
I just can’t use the semi auto snipers. Takes away the skill of sniping in this game and it just doesn’t feel right to send a follow up shot when I shoot them in the head
My stats and my rank got reset multiple times on this game also I only use 3 of the 4 SLR the zh29 I don't use because it is op is crap I find it funny how most of these people who say they use the selbstlader have little to no use on it the only SLR I see is the zh less recoil with the recoil spec and has 6 rounds faster reloads and that makes the weapon non recover fed which makes it better with scopes and not to mention can run high velocity bullets and recoil buffer the bipod is okay on the selbstlader but it is a shitty version of the zh the 2 X is nice though and it shoots a little faster but that barley matters the difference is minimal but the Devs cants balance guns in saying that the rsc and before my stats got changed were selbstlader 2nd and model 8 3 but now my model 8 has more kills now
Zh29 with ROF specialisation is king. I would also suggest including bullet drop analysis. This one of the reasons I do not use the 1906. Love your videos though.
Ross if so explain the new gun they added an exact copy of the g43 just shuffled the specialization around. Explain how 90% of guns sound exactly alike.

I would love to use iron sights but in this game it is so hard to see at distance, as where in BF1 I used nothing but iron sights and it was easier.

1906 gives you the bipod with less sacrifices. The bipod ladies and gents means you don't have to hold your breath while prone.
