- Some medic gameplay with a weapon that sounds great in this game and doesn't look half bad. Was working towards unlocking the Sniper variant that I'll show later.
It would have been great if you could one shot players by physically hitting them with the rifle grenades like you could in some of the previous Battlefield titles.
Also if you are wondering about it at some point I started leaving one bullet in the weapon simply to avoid that excessive popping animation the weapon does when you expend all ammunition ( it was more of a subconscious thing as I never planned to do that). Sure there is the realism argument however this is an arcade shooter and that kind of stuff can get real annoying after a few times.

This gun is a fucking skill cannon. Been using the sniper variant since I've unlocked it and it is my favorite medic weapon.

5:58 that triple kill looked so smooth/sick, especially if you look at the shadow when ravic melees the 3rd enemy. If you also pay attention, each enemy scream goes down in pitch as they die, lol.

X7RM not at all, takes some skill but with this and the 8.35(5 round version) I can do some work at all ranges. Two of my best weapons

The sniper variant is love, love is life. The hard part for me was rifle grenade kills since I kept forgetting to use them. I'm used to carrying only syringe, and bandage pouches. I do wish it was like in BF4 where you could kills people using the rifle grenades by hitting them in the head. I miss killing people with smoke. I do think it's a beautiful rifle in game. I love the toggle lock mechanism. I like to combine this with the P08 luger

Flag Ov Hate No they don't... Shit players wouldn't like hardcore. It's so easy to get killed in hardcore that it's mostly people who play with purpose. It requires a lot more skill to do good in hardcore or else you'll die every five seconds.
I have to disagree. I found hardcore too easy. Time till death is so short. Someone with steady aim racks up kills quite fast. I have friends that have potato aim and they love the mode.
im aware he's played bf4 HC and posted a couple vids. the reason why i'd like to see ravic in bf1 HC is bcuz bf1 HC is a vastly different game mode compared to bf4's HC mode... i play bf4 HC exclusively bcuz the vanilla normal mode has cheap features that players rely on and that kinda ruins the tactical team oriented gameplay. HC is a game mode that offers a more realistic imersive experience. players have limited hud "no mini map or health/ammo indicator" players health is 60, no health/vehicle regeneration, no "doritos" 3D spotting or killcam... with all that being said, the game mode requires true teamwork. w/o having health regen you have to have medics, w/o vehicle regen gotta have engineers for reps, w/o spotting you have to work as a team to find the enemy's location by only using sight and sound
hardcore=easy mode. It will be filled with nothing but salt.

So I just watched this really cool destiny ad before this video...
I've been working towards the same unlock myself recently, and I've even had the same revolver as back up. In it's current form, the Selbstlader is equally as rewarding as it is frustrating. I know the weapons in the game are true to their real life forms, however I've always thought if they added even just three rounds to the magazine, and cut down the reload speed by just half a second, you'd be looking at potentially the best medic rifle in the game. The fire-rate is outstanding, I've out-gunned Hellriegels and Automaticas at close range, and it hits like a truck.

I have almost all the guns in the game accept the add ons like the hellfighter m1911 and the redbarron and such but I have mixed feelings for the sniper variant 🤔 I would still use the factory cause I feel the sniper version could be a bit better if it were say an optical or something else but that's my opinion
I feel like you use these guns because if you used literally anything else you'd rek too much
I think you'd be surprised how good it is. Yeah, it only has 5 rounds in a clip, but when I use it there seems to be virtually no accuracy penalty for rapid fire, and there's next to no recoil. As long as you can stay in mainly one and done engagements, it is really powerful.
The rifle grenade was so much fun in day of defeat source, especially on the orange arena maps. The best thing was that you could sit in spawn, change your player class twice to reload your rifle nades, and you could effectively turn yourself into a mortar, the nades would land right infront of their spawn and then the spawn killing fun would begin - good times.

Hey Ravic, what do you feel about the new CTE weapon rebalances? I saw an earlier video with you saying essentially that you didn't like anything in BF1 other than snipers (or at least, that snipers were far more effective) in the current meta, and now that that meta's changing...
It SHOULD be the most effective, in my opinion, just because it takes more skill (I'm terrible at it). At least on PC where there's no aim assist for guns like the Martini-Henry.

Quick tip for any using it, by the way - if you're struggling with the standard sight, due to the sight-post being so thin, try the buckhorn sights. It felt much more accurate to me when I switched.

You can, but you would need to hit all headshots, which is ridiculous. I agree though, which is why I suggested an increase in the clip size and a speed up of the reload. Right now, it's not a great weapon, so you have to work with it's limitations. Engage in single gun-fights, for starters.
