If you ask me, Taiwanese people are a lot like bubble tea. Tea stands for the Chinese culture that comes to us by blood. Milk represents our connections to countries like the US, Japan, Korea, and even Spain and Portugal, if you go back far enough. There’s sugar in there because Taiwan is home to the sweetest people in the world. Finally, the tapioca pearls represent the Taiwanese spirit: hard-working, flexible, and enduring. Now, you must be thirsty after having to listen to that little speech. Let’s go grab something at the drink shop!
