I love this! Speaking only in Chinese and restaurant settings are really useful for practising listening and learning frequently used restaurant conversations. The staff speak too fast for me and I can't understand without the subtitles.

@@MandarinWithMissLin I now live in Taiwan and have problem understanding and having conversations at restaurants and shops on a daily basis. I'd be interested in conversation series of different types of restaurants, tea shops, bakery shops and convenient stores. :)

Very helpful and fun. Also, I loved that you got your mum to add in some Taiwanese. I'd love to learn Taiwanese and Hukkanese, but I need to improve my Mandarin first. Haha

I like your blogs. Thank you very much. I learned a lot. I have been to that restaurant before. I miss it. I usually would order these noodles with some kind stuff the top maybe it was the mushrooms I don’t know. It was vegetarian I think and also wo luo bo gao the radish, cakes Yeah, the drinks are definitely good 😊 . Looking forward to seeing more of these blogs. I like the one at the breeze center. I highly recommend this place the dim sum is good, and the tea very strong. Good service too. DIM DIM SUM Breeze Taipei Station Restaurant. Oh, and if you have room for dessert, I recommend the one with custard filled buns, and the buns look like a pig

As a Singaporean Chinese, I can understand most of it. about 95%. But the 葷 的 really got it to me. Do Taiwanese say 葷 when referring to a meat diet?

I would like to learn Taiwanese. But I don't know how find good learning resources to improve my listening skills. Since most is the new Chinese and not traditional Chinese. My understanding of Chinese grew a lot when I focused on traditional Chinese. Where do I need to go or what do i need to buy?
