I'm an All Blacks supporter all the way but Pocock is one of my favourite rugby players. He's amazing on the field and humble off the field. Australian media could learn a few things on humility from him.
David Pocock is a titan of Australian rugby and sportsmanship. His footy speaks for itself, and his courage and leadership off the field is inspirational. He's the model I invoke when I teach my son what rugby can do for the strength of a man.
Best flanker in the world during RWC2011, shame he's faced the injury problems he's had as he was pretty much invincible during last year's tournament, what a player with what a future ahead of him, really could see him as being one of the greatest ever.
Pocock is by far the best No.7 now...McCaw in his prime was class..8 years difference....just can't wait until Sean O'Brien gets his hands on him....hope he is on the road to recovery.
Pocock is the better fetcher, but not by much and McCaw trumps him in every other facet of play. He runs better support lines, his lineout and scrum games are better, and he's a very underrated runner. Not to mention his ability to slow down opposition ball and ensure quick service for his side. Add to this the fact that he has the best motor in the ABs (check out his yo-yo test), and 120 tests worth of experience, and you have a player who is still the very best in the world at what he does.
Jacques Burger. Look for 'The Burger Hit'... you won't regret it! Notice him playing at 9 after the hit! He does that week in, week out. Voted one of the top 5 players at the world cup. If he played for anyone other than Namibia he would be a world superstar.
excellent defense !! Damn !! There are a few plays he stopped by himself that would have been tries for certain...Habana one of them... Very impressive ! It's surprising to know he's "just" 100kg when you look at his freakin build !!! I'd have imagined...180...maybe 185 ?
Pocock is one of the best sevens in the world. richie and david play a different brand of openside flanker. pocock and warburton are similar 7s. So it really depends what type of 7 u are looking for.
at 0:45 it was superlatively quick how he got to jackal, but he was being pulled into place by burger and matfield in a way. still best 7 in the world by a mile.

Pocock, McCaw and G Smith were best no 7s in Rugby history imo. In one of the stupidist errors of all time M. Cheika then ruined the last 5 years of Pococks career by switching him to no 8 where he was not well suited. This done to accommodate an inferior player in M. Hooper. This was the start of the WB demise from no 2 to no 8 in world :(
All those highlights from the SA vs AUS game world cup 2011 absolutely piss me off, that was a marvel of incompetent reffing, not Pocock's skill. Just frustrating losing that game. Pocock does remain a amazing player, however
