Whoa there let's get one thing correct here. Of the Pacific islanders in the current All Blacks squad, none of them moved to NZ specifically to play Rugby. All migrated here with their families and most were young children when they arrived in NZ. The exception being Malakai Fekitoa who was 17 when he moved here again though it was with his family and was not with playing for the All Blacks in mind. There was no player drain or assimilation needed. If there is a player drain from the Islands it is more likely to be toward Australia than NZ.
