Today we’re going to talk about the amazing immune benefits of garlic-especially during the winter. Garlic has been used as a natural remedy for various conditions for thousands of years.
Garlic is even ranked at the top for having potent anticancer effects, according to data from a study on the effects of cancer prevention from vegetables.
Most of the data we’re covering is from in vitro studies-not studies done on humans.
These studies found that garlic has the potential to kill:
    • E. coli
    • MRSA
    • Anthrax
They found that garlic has a potent effect against:
    • Viruses
    • Fungi
    • Parasites
They even found that just the odor of garlic may help kill bacteria.
Garlic also has the ability to bind with organophosphates from pesticides and detoxify them from the body. Organophosphates can have a devastating effect on the immune system-they can make you susceptible to getting sick. But, garlic can help detoxify them and protect your immune system.
Be sure to buy garlic that’s locally grown from a very good source. Fermented garlic and fermented black garlic both have incredible benefits as well. They actually have even more antioxidants and nutrients.
The important phytonutrients in garlic can survive temperatures that are 100 degrees Celsius or 212 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 20 minutes.

Moreover I never stopped eating because of their complained, the good thing I'm very healthy and never been in the hospital in my entire life. I'm eating garlic since I was 17 years old.

Considering Dr. Berg here shares how that just the smell of garlic kills off bacteria (and probably viruses too), then when your family complains about the smell, point this out, and then tell them that the smell of garlic within your breath is potentially doing that too, so after that explanation, then say "you're welcome".

My family is Russian. My grandmother used to simmer garlic in whole, full fat milk when we were young. Yes, full fat milk is important because the fats pull out a lot of the active constituents of the garlic. Not the best tasking brew, but it really worked, I tell you. We never went to the doctor as kids because my grandmother took care of everything at home. We were also very rarely sick because she'd nip things in the bud. The longest I ever had a sore throat living with her was less than 24 hours. Goldenseal is also an amazing natural antibiotic.

My neighbor died on the way to the emergency room, back in the1990s. He crossed over, met other deceased people, but came back. His arteries were all clogged. I told him to take garlic to clear his arteries. His doctor could not believe how fast his arteries cleared. He started lifting weights, got his GED, as he joined the navy as a teenage Dad, instead of finishing school. He got his GED before his kids finished high school. He had nine kids. He went on to community college, learned Vietnamese, taught others to be master plumbers, then became a Baptist preacher. Garlic is a life saver. He lived another decade or more, seeing his grandchildren.
I have very good plumbing, as his gift. Many called him a drunk, stay away from him. I prayed for him everyday. I remember when he would be so drunk, he would ask me to go turn off his truck. He was too drunk to be able to turn off the truck. He got sober. Dr. Berg's videos saved my brother from alcoholism. He's been sober 3 years after being an alcoholic 58 years. My brother could have died, his liver was failing. Very appreciative for all the great advise, that saves lives.

Me too, I grow as much as can. Warm climate, I enjoy all varieties. I've surprised myself few times, wasn't sure was it leek or garlic until I pulled n see bulb. You can't beat home grown veg, so simple to do.. just learn n put in effort n u be very content. Carrots or instance, look hilariously funny in shape sometimes ,Not like " perfect shop bought".

Using my body as a science experiment, Doc. I eat a clove or two of raw Garlic every day. Crushed then waiting 15 minutes before consuming just like you taught in another video. Also doing a teaspoon of fresh rosemary and about a quarter cup of broccoli sprouts as well as an avocado a day. Slowly switching over to organic produce as well.
83lbs gone in 35 weeks. Just turned 62, feeling like I'm 42. Thanks for the good info, I'll check out the fermenting recipe in the near future.

I have been eating a clove of garlic everyday to reduce inflammation, treat my skin allergy and lower my BP. Consequently, my HBP & skin allergy were controlled that the doctor’s RX for allergy could not. I was afraid I’d smell if I continue to consume garlic but I read somewhere to limit eating only a clove of a garlic a day so as not to smell if you eat more you will.
How I eat garlic. If you are like me who hates garlic and never eat it at all, you may do this.
I chop a clove of garlic very finely, put them in a teaspoon, then transfer to my tongue and drink water quickly. I swallow the garlic without tasting it and that’s how I survive eating garlic to this day. Hope this helps. Thank you Dr Berg for sharing your knowledge with us, I watch many of your videos and followed your advice. God bless you and your family.🙏

👋👋👋 Hi Dr. Berg. My husband and I purchased land in Puerto Rico. We planted elephant garlic and other non-China garlic there. I am seriously considering becoming a garlic farmer as I am aware the medicinal power of garlic. My grandma use to put a garlic clove in my ear when I had ear pain, it took the pain away! Thank you Dr. Berg for your continuous mission educating us, the public. You are a great teacher. Keep shining your light! God Bless you and Karen!👍❤. Puerto Ricans use garlic in most of our dishes because the base of our food is Sofrito, which includes garlic, onion, cilantro, peppers, and a small sweet pepper we call ajicitos dulce. They look like the Scotch Bonnet pepper, the only difference is that the ajicito dulce is not hot. Oh yeah, in Spanish whenever you see a word with the letter j, it's pronounced like the letter h in the English language.

I would like to add a footnote to my post above. 1. The mixture is too strong to take with a spoon, it will make you feel sick (I tried it). However, 1 Tablespoon in a large glass of water, makes you feel really well, a d it stimulates your stomach acid. Also, it takes two or three days for bruises and under skin bleeding to start disappearing. That really works well. Because there is so much garlic in the mix, you can keep topping it up with more apple cider vinegar as you use it.

This is the only time I’ve been disappointed in you, Dr. Berg. Last year or so I shared this with you on this channel and the response was, “ Honey is pure sugar, garlic or not “. So this didn’t fit your Keto diet but yet today you share it as an “almost cure all “. I’ve been using this for several years, a recipe I learned from OAG before his recent passing. May OAG Rest In Peace. The recipe has kept me well and the raw, organic honey liquifies quickly after the garlic slices are incorporated and ferments for a week or so. It also makes for an excellent cough syrup as well. Another raw organic honey fermented syrup is fresh, thinly sliced organic ginger and fresh thinly sliced, organic pineapple in combination. Excellent for it’s digestive qualities and well as an anti- nausea remedy. Either of these should be consumed in small quantity but their health benefits are evident during cold and flu season. Although the honey is a preservative and natural wound healer, after I’ve fermented them, they go into the fridge to slow the fermentation process. 🥰

I have been eating two cloves of garlic every day for the last three years. I have only been sick once, and it was very mild. My wife has been sick multiple times in the past year. It's easy, just cut a clove into small pieces. Take a bite of your breakfast and pop a piece in chew. Next bite new piece. Takes a little getting used too, but totally worth it. I don't smell like garlic just brush and rinse after breakfast.

    • @mjremy2605
      @mjremy2605 2 ปีที่แล้ว +49

Don't feel too proud yet. There are many things in the Indian diet that are not healthy or relevant today. While the spice base is very advanced, the use of white rice, roti, naan, kulcha, luchi, paratha, suji and sweets are leading to metabolic disease. The spices have no effect against the high insulin levels caused by these refined carbs and sucrose. No Indian will ever give up his Basmati rice, fluffy wheat rotis, soft naan breads, or payasam and rossogollas. Eat all the turmeric you want but unless these foods are removed from diet, inflammation and insulin levels will rise and bring disease.

Not so fast. I am also from the region and can second the differing opinion as mentioned by other commentators. A diet high in flour, rice, sugar and vegetable oil etc is as far as healthy as one can be. Diabetes , arthritis, inflammation is extremely high in India mostly because of poor diet choice passed down generations as "culture".

We have raw garlic soaked in cooking vinegar in an glass bottle all year round, and the vinegar became so delicious, so are the garlic cloves. You can also add a little sugar in bottle for greater taste. Use it during winter to prevent cold, or if you already catch cold Just smell the vinegar, also drink it or mix some with food, eat the garlic too of course. You won't regret. With vinegar I mean the Chinese traditional ones in dark colour

This has been an attempt to lower blood pressure and keep glucose levels in check. I recently came across Sally K. Are you familiar with this information and could you do a video about whether this is as much of a problem as some say it is? Thank you for everything that you do.
