  • ................. about travelmoto ............
    I have one more channel and I have motorcycle videos
    you might like to see...
    / @multi-autotv
    I am a motorcycle enthusiastic... I love making videos with scooters and classic motorcycles... and some how I travel a lot... and this is how travel moto exists.
    I want to let you guys know that I am not the best rider ever who speaks good English and knows much about details of the bikes... I just love what I am doing and love motorcycles.
    if you have knowledge about motorbikes and scooters you can be part of the videos by leaving your comments. (I read them all and visit your channels).
    I travel the world for motorcycle shows with classic motorcycles and mostly scooter motorbikes such as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and also scooters from KYMCO, SYM, BMW etc...
    I am generally fond of classic motorcycles but also of mega scooters and in the city you will find me riding small scooters or mopets (mobylette).

    Was in China, these things are all over in the country ( towns & cities are all electric cars, bikes & scooters), only things I saw broke down was a new Volvo, a range Rover & a BMW car.

      Chinese motorcycles and autos are coming. Remember a long time ago when people didn't think Japanese vehicles were quality. Same thing. History repeats itself.

      Chinese aim to sell stuff that people want at a decent price.Our North American blikes are pricing themselves out of existence.What we need is basic no frills 50s style pickup truck for 10Gs.

      @@travelmoto well, it's 2021 and still no dealerships for these in the USA. I would love to have one. I have a KMZ Dnepr MT-11 sidecar military motorcycle I restored and drive. It's built like a tank and ride's like one too lol. The CJ650 would ride a lot better and faster I'm sure.

    • @Wipa4
      @Wipa4 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@n4zou and it has a lousy chain drive unlike Ural's camshaft

    • @n4zou
      @n4zou 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Wipa4 you lose a lot of power and torque through the ring gear and pinion with shaft drive. I had to take my final drive apart and rebuild it despite it only having 192 km on it. It was slapped together without care which destroyed the ring gear. That's just one of the many reasons my Dnepr got put in a barn for 32 years before I got it. I rebuild it myself so the cost wasn't too bad but if I had to have a shop do it the cost would easily exceed the value of the bike. With chain drive replacing chain and sprockets is cheap and it's easy to do yourself even if you aren't a mechanic. It's also easy to change the gear ratio just by replacing sprockets. I actually prefer chain drive systems for those reasons. I got 45,000 miles out of the original chain and sprockets on my Honda Shadow.

    this brand tricycle have been originally built for military more than 6 decades, the old version is 750cc boxer engine from BMW R71 technology. this is new version with 2 inline cylinders 650cc water cooled engine. retail price in china about 8000-9000 usd

    Chinese motorcycle really improve a lot specially the design like this one it's like a European or American brand and design

  • @frankyi7584
    @frankyi7584 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    understood from some Chinese bike social media that the quality of this trike is still on the improving curve, the engine was bought from Chunfeng, a brand that makes bikes for the Chinese state bike motorcade escorting/welcoming state guests. Small brands in China are putting back the old Changjiang 750 back into production with parts collected from nearly-forgotten inventory, with the original boxer engine (which is a Chinese version of Ural 1950’s M72, and so it resembles much the BMW R71/R75, very low production and quality could be a concern.

    the Chinese are building much better stuff than they used to, I saw the spec sheet and it showed the top speed being 110, with those huge sprockets that would be KPH not MPH, which would be plenty good enough with those side cars, the cars look like an improved version of the ural, time will tell if the reliability and metallurgy are better than the past

    • @n4zou
      @n4zou 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a Kawasaki twin. It's made for many different motorcycles by CFMOTO in Taiwan. It's a very reliable and good engine. I wouldn't be interested in a motorcycle with an engine made in mainland china.

  • @neilpiper9889
    @neilpiper9889 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It's about the engine. Like in a mechanical watch it's the movement. This is a licenced build of a Kawasaki 650. That's good.
    Chinese Seagull watches have licensed builds of Swiss movements. Also they often improve on them. The Chinese are on the up and are being belittled on here like the Japanese were in the 1950s. What happened to the Japanese car motorcycle and watch manufacturers. Oh yeah.

    This bike should not be compared to the Ural. This is a fairly modern, vertical twin engine, water cooled, possibly fuel injected. It also looks more compact, lighter and with better designed frame and wheels. My opinion is that it would leave an Ural in the dirt. Chinese manufacturing has come a long way.

    • @DavidAnderson-pr1ru
      @DavidAnderson-pr1ru 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the Ural would leave it in the dirt, literally. as the Ural has 2-wheel drive and this doesn't.

    Looks great, until the cheap looking generic block "CJ650B" 1:51 If that's the best you can do, just leave it off. Need to convince CSC to import a Zhongshen 650+ with sidecar.

    Indeed this is restiling of BMW R-71 of 1941 that was expropriated by the Soviet Government after WWII and later represented to the China. During this way the German quality was lost.

    Is it just me or do the handle bars have funny angle?
    Otherwise they look kinda cool.
    I'm sure the quality is on par with everything else.
    They really are trying to shake off the "cheap Chinese crap" reputation.
    If copyright laws start getting applied to them. They'll have to come up with their own stuff but by then they'll be an industrial powerhouse. More so than they are know.
    Remember what happened back in the 70's in the US.
    We were too arrogant to see the writing on the wall.
    Thought we couldn't be beat. Sat on our asses and Japan took over. It wasn't until the late 90's we started building better cars.
    In my opinion anyway. We still have some serious reliability issues.

    One day at our new factory a new CHINESE forklift was being demonstrated so we were all watching with keen interest. First, the back wheels fell off then the engine fell out and when the driver was asked what happened he said " Ah so I don't know, maybe the assembly"
