Hey Matt what the he'll is addi mode sometimes when I start the drone it says Andy mode and the drone won't go any higher then 10 meter's and also at that time the drone is drifting sideways it's crazy cos your looking at the controller and the drone is moving I do notice there is no satellites on screen so is is when you launch at night it tends to do it can you tell me what that is is it because it's too dark

I have watched several videos on the use of a DJI Mavic 3 Pro in preperation for when mine arrives. Your videos are very good. In fact they are the easiest to understand and comprehensive in information.
Use H265. It compresses better while improving the quality of the compression. The only way you would have problems is if you are using a computer from early 2010s or earlier.

THANK YOU, Thank You, thank you for explaining the need and the easy steps to bind the aircraft to the controller to have the fly-away component of Care Refresh (insurance) active!!! Somewhere, somehow I had missed doing that when I purchased Care Refresh.
The best thing I ever did was change the control scheme to option 3, where it operates a lot like a fps game. Suddenly I was flying it intuitively instead of having to think about every movement.
Yoo i thought I was the only one thinking Mode 3 operates like FPS games haha!! I couldnt stand Mode 2 and I was struggling quite a lot and I found Mode 3 to be super intuitive!!!
I wouldn't recommend doing that. Although it might seem easier at first, it could make it much harder to fly other drones, especially ones where you can't change the control scheme.
@@poultrypants That was a consideration, but that control scheme is so ingrained in me that it was completely natural, so it's really just a matter of learning the other controls now, or in the possible event that I get a different drone that doesn't support my preferred one.
Nice video, great facts, but I disagree about the outdated H.264 Codec. I don't exactly know with which hardware you may run intro trouble but my PC, my Phone, my Smart TV, everything works absolutely fine with H.265.
Apart from not understanding a few of the words spoken with a thick Irish accent this is one of the best reviews/tips I have watched on UTube. Much better then many of the loud grandiose American reviewers who seem full of themselves.

The disable sideways flight I can see being of great use especially having seen this in your video It will be a godsend for flying straight through spaces
Thanks for all the information. Not sure i agree with the changing from h265 to 64. Most phones these days can handle h265 playback as well as computers. Editing them is another issue though.

More thanks to you Mathew, I have been playing round with the Mini 3 Pro now for a couple of days but was having an issue with stuttering video file playback. Initially I thought I might have a problem with the drone then I remembered you saying something about the H265 Codec so I checked and it was set at 265. I changed it back to 264 and the files played perfectly. Had I not watched your posts I would not have had the 'lightbulb' moment and no doubt become more and more frustrated. Thanks again

Great video! I recently purchased a Mini3Pro because of it's interface with the Goggles2 w/ Motion Controller. Previously I had a Mini2 Pro (which I love), but the M3P is so much more. This video is an outstanding intro into the many features of this drone. I can't say enough good things about this drone. Thanks!
Don't change the video to h264 mind, the file sizes are twice the size. Also there should be an option of just RAW as Jpeg+RAW gives you duplicates which is annoying when you 100s of photos
Just checking, are you in photo mode and not video mode by accident? The camera settings change depending on the mode you are in! That's the first thing that comes to mind!
Thank you so much I have made all them changes and all that is left to do is flight. The Codex was the big one for me, as for some reason I was unable to play back the video fill on windows so this will change that. The only thing I have left to sort out is that when I went flying today I was not able to zoom in on video mode. Any ideas ?? Keep up the good work
As somehow accomplished photographer I can confirm - good composition is something you learn yourself by practise. You can learn the basic rules from anyone, but to get own unique approach, practise, practise, and practice. And lot of failures in between.

Yeah. Also unless you have a computer from 2010 you should be able to watch and edit H265 without issue.
Unfortunately, with DJI Mini 3 Pro you don't get just RAW option. Silly, but that's just how it is.

Can you do more on composition? Good composition with bad settings still gets you better footage than the other way around.
I absolutely can. Have added that to my video "to do" list!
Composition is something you learn over the years, I don’t think it’s possible to learn composition from a TH-cam video
