I still think there was something fishy about the Alvarez transfer. He wasn't worth anything like 90m Euros, so why would Atletico pay it? I had the feeling that something else may have happened in the background, like Abu Dhabi shifting money through the backdoor to Atletico so that they could pay a highly inflated fee to provide PSR/FFP space for City. It just didn't smell right.
