  • This is another great tool that I found at the dollar store. Perfect for learning rubber stamps after you use.

Great ideas for the Dollar Store that aren't typical craft supplies

This is a really good idea. I will say though the very BEST stamp cleaner I have ever used and will only use is Tub O' Towels wipes. You get them in the automotive section of Walmart, and other stores. They are larger than reg wipes as they are technically used for automotive purposes but are completely safe to use for cleaning rubber stamps without damaging them. I've been using them for this purpose since they were introduced on the market, over 10 yrs now. It completely removes all ink, new and old, dried-on permanent ink such as Stazon. This has been a real-life saver for me. I had many stamps that I could only use with black ink because the stained ink (even though I cleaned my stamps very well) would bleed through with other colors. When I used the Tub O'Towels to clean them they looked brand new. I mean BRAND new and to the original red rubber color. I also use them on clear stamps now as well with zero problems. To get into the tight crevices of a stamp I would use an old toothbrush to get in these spots as the towels are a bit juicy so it was easy to do. If your stamp is super stained and dirty with old ink, let some of the moisture from the towel sit on it for a min or so. That said I think your technique with the silicon scrubby pad would work even better than the toothbrush, so that is something I'm most definitely going to try providing I can find them. Thank you for sharing these ideas. :)

That sounds awesome! I’m in Australia, but we should have something similar, do you know what the ingredients are so I can find a similar thing here?

@@MissChelle Sorry I don't know the ingredients for the stamp cleaner. For the regular dye base ink pads, just use water and for permanent ink pads. You can use StazOn cleaner or any stamp cleaner than you use for clean the permanent ink. Good luck.

@@MissChelle I did a quick Google search and it says this for the ingredient list. Ingredients: Contains: Purified Water, D-Limonene, Nonionic and Anionic Surfactants, Dimethicone, Lanolin, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Extract, and Vitamin E.

Thank you for the tips of dollar store finds. That will save our budget in order to buy more stamps. Please let us know what you think of the 'Tub of Towels" that another viewer suggested. I will definitely give the silicone scrubber a try because currently I use a tooth brush. The red rubber stamps have such fine details that it would be easy for ink to clog them up. Also thank you for all the videos on the "Calm" combo set. I ordered it yesterday and can hardly wait to get it. As for having so many good suggestions for the stamp names just save the ones you don't use and consider them for your future releases because there were some awesome suggestions made for names. Looking forward to your new releases.

Great idea! Just remember not to scrub your stamps near your project, or you may end up with splatters where you didn't want them ;)

I don’t pay $$$ for stamp cleaner or baby wipes to clean my stamps. If you are using a die based ink/water soluble ink all you need is a damp wash cloth. Now if you are using a permanent ink, you will need a anger for those inks. 💕

Hello Lisa, I bought these scrubs for my dishes but I am going to take one to clean my stampa. I use a kitchen stiff brush and a wipe to clean my stamps. It helps to clean every nook & cranny of the stamp. Thank you for another great video.

I have a question: When I purchase your stamps on line, are the prices all in Canadian dollars or US. I live on Vancouver Island, BC and want to know if I have to convert the prices listed into Cdn or US dollars. Also, I love all of your Dollar store tips and keep them coming.

    • @yanglittlewa

Hi Shirley, thank you for the message. All the listing price is in USD for our Canadian customer, you can choose phone order when you check out and we will send you a CAD PayPal invoice or send the e- transfer require. The price will be converted to CAD first. Our exchange rate is 1.25 or less.
