Same. During patrol phase of a school, one guy was like “there is a nurse on that tree branch holding a piece of cake”. Lol, the mind when deprived of sleep and nutrition is wild!
I used to trip like that on purpose. Eat adderall for 3 days and then the fourth I'd quit and drink heavily. Everything would be bright and colorful like a cartoon and my memory would last about a min maybe. Conversations were hard. Natural hallucinations, visual and auditory. Hearing someone talk on the tv may sound like someone in another part of the house. Good times. I'd never do it again though. Too much prep work. I have a job now.
The water isn't discoloured for the reason you're thinking. It's actually from the house's old galvanized plumbing being clogged full of rust. This is also why the pressure is so low and there's heaps of water hammer whenever someone opens a faucet.
@Omnoms57 it absolutely allowed you to call back a payphone. It literally redialed the last number that called you. I'm 42 and we would call landlines from a payphone and immediately hang up after the first ring just so we could get our money back and have that person call us back.
@Gunvalkyrie_ gotcha...didn't realize that on the booth. I'm assuming they added that Easter egg in the movie to give a hint, but *69 definitely worked on all.
It’s always fun to see which point someone will get suspicious of that twist, and when they’ll finally be convinced of it, or if it will take until it’s actually said. It can vary pretty wildly for different viewers. It has been a while since I’ve done this, but my maximum normally functioning limit seems to be about 50 to 55 hours, then it starts to rapidly go downhill. After 60 hours, every step feels like the ground is made of marshmallow, and it just gets worse from there.
@@wadumin Oh, you're not wrong there! It's not something I would do regularly, and wasn't even really intentional for testing. Yes you can make a call to a public pay phone. The phone number to the pay phone is printed on the phone under the receiver handle. I doubt there are very many working pay phones anymore but if they’re working, you can call them.
For a long time, pay phones could receive calls. I believe it was around the mid-1990's that payphones with "this phone does not accept incoming calls" started appearing. I really wish I could see a high res print of Fight Club in the theater; I suspect the phone says it does not accept incoming calls.
This is a movie you have to watch again. Seeing the hints about what’s going on suddenly catch and are so mind blowing. For example when he is beating himself up in front of his boss and he punches his self and flies back it freezes frame and he says “for some reason I thought of my first fight with Tyler “ such an incredible movie.

Yes you could call back a public payphone. I called my family's corner store public pay phone all the time in the 80s and 90s. It was a public payphone just like in the phone booths.
If someone called you from a public telephone, or from any telephone back in the day, you could recall the number that called you (in the UK you would call 1471 - not sure what the American equivalent was) and thus were able to call that number back. I see so many reactors confused by how Tyler was able to call a phonebooth back. I believe it was indeed possible, even in the US.

I wish this element were appreciated by more people. Too many people idolize Tyler without seeing that his worldview is incomplete and hollow and has to be surpassed to find satisfaction.
I saw the bird pointing a gun at me (4:02) 😱😇 There are some things that are quite hard to understand about this movie. First - it has a pure romantic ending. But who can understand romantic atmosphere when the main character has a hole in his throat and skyscraper are collapsing around you 😀 Second - this movie is a deep critique about our society on almost every level. In fact this movie reflects more about our "simulated" worlds than The Matrix does (both were released in 1999). Our economy, our consumerism, our gender ideas that are partly taken from biology, our concepts about whats sane and whats insane and of course our silly ideas what "revolution" could do. Cause in the end... forced revolutions never do that much. And our whole existence is full of virtual crap we invent and that takes place only in our brains but does not exist in the real world. Just imagine what a speaking dog would tell us what he does not see: Borderlines, money, fashion, etc etc. Third - the book this movie is based on contained all the elements of the movie and also seemed to be very critical ... but... in my opinion the story works much better when its visualized. This is one of the rare movies that is at least as good as the book - because of the absurdly well done visualization, sound editing, acting and use of special effects... I do think the movie is even better than a book could ever be. In the end this movie does what every media art does that tries to trigger people and wants to make them aware of complex issues in our society: Not that much. Its kind of weird that the movie is the critique of what it exactly is on a meta level: Its just a product that is sold to make money and entertain people for 2 hours. Thats kinda it. We are a a very weird species and dont know how to deal with our potential of intelligence. So we invent so much shit... that in the end only a crazy guy with sort of schizophrenia can become a revolutionist. Which makes you deeply ask what sort of people Che Guevara, Washington and Ghandi really have been. Probably... somehow insane, too? Who knows. Thanks like always for your reaction. And the next time let the bird shoot at the audience 😀

Wait, why aren't all the comments just about Anita?
this is so good
It was AMAZING
4:33 5:50 6:52
17:30
39:36 40:00
45:00
Why do so many first time watching people feel they have to comment every 2 seconds? It ruins the movie and watching experience.
Then watch the movie instead of a reaction. The rest of us want to know what their thoughts are
There is a very good video essay/analysis on the philosophy of this film. The video is titled "Fight Club and Nietzsche: Overcoming Emasculation", by a channel named 'Bob'.
Given how much you both enjoyed this fantastic film, Gone Girl should absolutely be next on your list if you haven't seen it already. Same director, same incredibly clever script and outstanding performances. You will not regret it.
I liked much more The Prisoners .. me and my family watched both movies and prisoners won :D
But GG is good movie.
For fans of Fight Club I would recommend Usual Suspects ;)
that parrot with a gun... lmao
do "GOOD WILL HUNTING" next! :)
Added, thanks for watching ❤
33:53 what side of the car did TYLER pull him out of? 😏😉
Basically he missed in the end and the bullet went out the side.
Cool cool cool💥. But where's my La La Land at?
We'll check it out ❤
La La Land is terrific. 10/10 from me.
Most romantic ending of all time
Yes. You could call a pay phone
His name is Robert Paulson
And yes, back in the mid to late 90s they had it to where you could push *69 on your phone and it would call back the last phone that called you.
This song and DISCIPLE (even more so) are the litmus test for the fanbase, many of whom believe a group of non-American Gen Z young ladies are vessels for their right wing worldview.
"in insomnia, nothing's real"
Dark City (1998) go in blind trust me y'all will dig it
24:02 nothing to control, he dont want do a thing with her
