you should go to Germany at VW factory Hannover and see the largest private railway network in Europe and car loading is literaly automatic directly connected to the assembly line end no need to drive the cars, and also they have to massive towers for vehicle storage for those who takes delivery at the factory directly.
@@alanmay7929 That sounds pretty awesome! I'd love to tour it someday. I'm wondering if part of the s.expansion @ GigaTexas will be for retail sales/delivery, but others mentioned it will be a data center. Maybe it's going to be both. Along with the massive parking garage for new vehicle storage/direct sales (in addition to employee parking).
Another great video. Love your coverage of the rail head. It's a challenge sometimes when transferring all the files over to my editor (long story). Plus when I have to change batteries I'll pass over the same area, which of course shouldn't be recorded again 😉 Here's a link you're referring to: buymeacoffee.com/airwavedynamics Thanks!

thanks for uploading this, the quality is amazing! this is going to be a silly question, but is Giga Texas the same factory such as Austin, Texas? I'm awaiting delivery of quicksilver long range awd model y, 5 seater with white interior
It doesn't work that way. They don't own the right of way, or have easements to build a spur or a tunnel. Acquiring right of way would be very expensive, and maybe impossible if people don't want to sell. A tunnel even more expensive. When they have an 80 mph freeway that goes right past the factory!
@@rtz549 My understanding is no they can't. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. But what I don't understand is why so many Tesla fans want to do things the hard way. There is a freeway that goes right by the factory. Car carriers are available. Seems like there is a strong desire to build tunnels just because Musk owns the Boring company. Am I wrong?
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn they have to pay those truck drivers to haul those cars. If they had a tunnel; the vehicles could drive themselves there. Though I guess they should just send them out using the existing route; no need for the tunnel.
@@rtz549 I'm not an expert on this but a tunnel would likely have to be rated for humans. Since it would have to be serviced from time to time. That means ventilation, additional escape tunnels, etc. Again, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Also, customers may have a big problem with miles being put on their $50,000 to $100,000 vehicles. Final point, and this is a big one..... If self driving were actually "just around the corner" (as Musk has been claiming every year since 2016) The cars wouldn't need to drive in a tunnel. It is just a matter of being realistic about what has been promised, what is likely possible, and what is feasible. Yes, they can build a tunnel, assuming they can acquire the right of way. But is it worth the cost and effort?
Sad to see that the "crew bus" vehicles seem to be ICE powered and the trains are belching black clouds of diesel. Still, it's FABULOUS to see thousands of battery electric cars, lots of Tesla Powerpacks and lots of rooftop solar. So good beats bad.
lol!!!!! diesel and ICE is king forever! the longest and heaviest trains are diesel powered almost 7 miles long crossing the entire lenght of Mauritania in a very harsch and desertic area. just like car Haulers called diesel road trains in Australia hauls about 4x more car than a typical car hauler.

Good vid. Gosh that place is so developed now.
Thank you!
Great video, the camera resolution is incredible with impressive depth! 👏👏👏
Thanks for the nice feedback! 🙂
Incrível documentário
When one sees the activities at the factory outbound lot and the train depot, one understands the destination charge line item.
Exactly.. Lots of work involved that's for sure...

Yes, GigaTexas is SE of Austin in a suburb called Del Valle. Sounds like you ordered a nice looking one! Congrats~
Kinda surprised they couldn't get the railroad to run a spur to the factory.
Maybe use the Boring machine for a direct line to the rail yard?

Making vehicles no one wants to buy.
In my opinion; replace background sounds with music. Otherwise all good
Drop the fake sound effect for trains.
Prefer the same, no-residual, repeated techno-twang track loops used by Brad, Jeff & Joe? To each his/her own. Cheers, Peter
