Yeah,😪 people don’t always appreciate what that is, or what it means. In this day and age, between smartphones and mass shootings, it’s really getting to be taken for granted.
@@jackphillips3354 I also agree that if there were less mass shootings people would appreciate the relationship of Lydia and Beetlejuice from the 1989 show
I watched this show as a kid, so when I saw the movie a while later, I was incredibly confused. Seems cartoon Lyds has the same relationship movie Lyds had with the dead couple.
Beetlejuice cartoon - Lydia never meets Beetlejuice 0:00/1:44 Lydia Deetz is girls 👧 and the high school 🏫 in her new place for Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice seems to a young girl 👧 is Lydia!?
@@RocStarr913 True, but Lydia was ready to unalive herself in the movie when they moved into the Maitland house. Then again, in this continuity there were no Maitlands & Emily Deetz didn’t exist.
Lydia and BJ are healthier minded versions of their film counterparts. BJ is more of a mischievous imp than a villainous demon. While this Lydia embraced things strange and unusual as a means to give meaning to herself, rather than it just being a quirk like in the movie.
I had that back in school. I had no friends, and was pretty much in the same shape poor Lydia’s in. It was horrible. The kinda thing you’d never wish on anyone.
It should have depicted Claire as being even meaner and more vicious than she usually is, since this version of Lydia is too much of a doormat to stand up to her.
The good news about this episode is sure the neitherworld would be better off, but Lydia would have been miserable. It’s always the ones who love you the most who would be unhappy without knowing you
@@jessicapinkman-hd4bw Heathers is, like Beetlejuice, a 1988 movie starring Winona Ryder. The climax involves the antagonist attempting to commit mass murder by blowing up the school. So not a shooting in the literal sense, but enough. It does help that he actually shot some characters dead earlier.
Before there was the fairy odd parents there was beetlejuice. (Confusing the movie audiences especially the young bloods watching binge watching this show then the 2nd movie)
Their friendship Is so precious and I love this episode just for that

Huh. I thought Lydia would be dead if she never met Beetlejuice. Not just dead inside, but having killed herself to see her dead mom.
They couldn’t do that in a series targeted at children.

The dead mom thing was just the musical.

I'd actually wish to never be laughed at. As for being lonely, I'd manage.
'You put the Con in her Confidence.' Damn, isn't that a cool line!

OR, as Ray Charles had put it, “And I think to myself, ‘what a wonderful world!’” A bittersweet acknowledgement.

1:37 So we're just gonna eat the cheese with the wrapper still on it huh...alright 😒.
Hey, can’t you see that poor girl is too depressed to even notice that?
The kind of depression is way too palatable
Damn. This is sad.
Lydia you poor dear 😢😢
This is a school shooter origin story I tell ya.
Funny you should say that about a cartoon whose source material is a Winona Ryder movie from 1988...
She and Wallflower Blush would get along nicely.

I just wanna jump into the TV and save her! Be that one friend!
People say its weird they are friends in this show but i don't think so
Show that one can make a difference to anyone
It's a wonderful after life
Completely unrelated but the background music sounds really similar to the background noise in baldis basics (in my opinion I could be wrong)
In this clip specifically i can hear it at 0:19

wait a minute ... this is from that Christmas movie !!
I don't remember the name of the movie
