I've always liked the Beetlejuice animated series. I love how Lydia, despite being a goth girl is portrayed as upbeat, happy, and mature. It's kind of refreshing. And I love how she and Beetlejuice are friends with a weird, but endearing relationship.
her personality in the cartoon is so cute, she's an absolute sweetheart 🥺 this show was my first introduction to these characters as a kid so this was always the "canon" lydia to me when i was younger tbh
I forgot the exact reason, but he never graduated from school to be a professional terrifier (or something like that). Long story short, he does eventually get his diploma, but just to mess with his old teachers, he talks about sticking around and furthering his education which freaks them out. After all, as BJ said, "Why get a diploma when you could get a degree?"
If this were a Disney cartoon BJ would’ve been voiced by their mainstay Jim “Winnie the Pooh” Cummings and he would’ve used his Goof Troop “Pete” voice
I am curious of the context for the episode, mainly why is Beetlejuice being sent to school? my guess is Lydia founded out he never graduated and she is trying to help him better himself education wise but he fails at everything
And the fact that Lydia’s actually going to be mom in Beetlejuice 2 is ironic 😂
It aged like fine ectoplasma.

Cartoon Beetlejuice and cartoon Lydia made a great comedic duo. Beetlejuice as the goofball and Lydia as the "straight man".
I know it's not canon, but I just love this lighthearted friendship between Beetlejuice and Lydia!
Cartoon Lydia will always be my favorite for this reason
The fact that Beetlejuice is acting like a kid is a riot lmao

way more mature then you think, he's probably old enough to be her great x8 grandfather

Yeah, especially her "phase".
The Lydia design on this serie is really good in my opinion
Alyson Court as the voice of Lydia Deetz. Alyson was also Loonette the Clown in Big Comfy Couch!
