I first learned my heart rate in 3rd grade math/science class. It is 124 BPM. It went down for a few years after i had my children, 90BPM. But eventually went back up to Normal 124BPM. I also have extremely low blood pressure. I've gone to different doctors about it over the years. Maybe because I am poor, they all told me the same, after a few minutes, they couldn't find anything wrong. They tell me to eat more salt for my blood pressure and to stand and move slower for lightheadedness and blackouts. Now I have grandchildren, and day-to-day activities are becoming too strenuous for my heart. I get overworked and my heart starts beating so fast it starts to palpitate. Almost had a heart attack today, and all i did was try to rack the front yard. Ended up having to lay flat in bed all afternoon tell my chest and back relaxed. My insides are still shaking.

Fantastic information on Tachycardia: I have same problem for the last 37 years. I got through different treatment/ diagnosis, EKG, ETT, PFT, etc procedure but nothing has been traced uptil now. My heartbeat remains around 100 +...I feel my heartbeats sometimes very high.

My husband has sick sinus syndrome. I have tachycardia but have not had it captured yet on an EKG. It goes very high up to 245 but it doesn’t stay there it jumps all over the lot. The last time it happened I was in a cold sweat too.

@@scrippshealth Thank you and I did meet with him. He suggested that I purchase a home monitoring device which I have done. Should it happen again I can send him the EKG real time in a pdf file. Technology is marvelous!

I love this channel. Can someone have a heart rate of 200 beats per minute for about 5 minutes and not notice? Even while resting on a chair in front of pc? Can you have no symptoms at 200 beats per minute?

Hi there, you will most likely feel symptoms like swelling, shortness of breath, and excessive fatigue if your heart rate exceeds 150bpm. You can learn more about tachycardia at www.scripps.org/news_items/7431-what-does-a-fast-heart-rate-mean-video

I have a heart rate of 125 bpm, ( I had an ablation about 1.5 years ago that cleared up my A-fib ) should I be corned about this current heart beat. I did , "Ask a Nurse " over the phone, she contacted my PCP; but my appointment is 5 days away, for an EKG., sould I be concerned for this wait?

Lately, donating plasma at CSL has been failure after failure. My pulse has been 105 - 111. I have 75 successful donations. Last 5 have been failure attempts. I lost my job. Maybe that's the issue.

It is weird. I used to have an extremely low heart rate, but since I came back from deployment, my watch has told me that my heart rate will stay between 80-134. 🤔
