Appreciate this comment because after this video we got more information from Safariland and there are fits now for the TLR 1 HL and the X300u. We will update the video description to highlight that.
Aesthetics are important when designing a holster. You would think it shouldn't be a primary factor but in my opinion it is the driving factor. Nobody wants to look goofy while in uniform. Just my two cents. I'm happy with my Safariland 6360 RDS and I think it looks way better and I have had no reliability issues.
I couldn't give a flying fuck about what it looks like so long as it securely holds my firearm while I'm doing my job. It's a duty holster. It's going to get scuffed, scratched and worn. It ain't supposed to look pretty its supposed to be practical and safe.

That thing is massive and expensive. I’ve been running my 7TS for my G17 pretty much since they came out and they’ve been great. If they simply listened to the end user and modified that, it would’ve been money. I still really like my 7TS duty holster, but will be moving to the Alien Gear Rapid Force Duty from many glowing reviews so far. Breaking retention is very similar, it can accept the QLS fork with a $15 adapter, it’s a lot easier to order/build a holster, and it’s much more price effective. I haven’t gotten mine for my G17 or P320 yet, but I expect it to be just as stout and am excited. Looks like the Safariland will be behind the Alien Gear curve for at least another year.
Did you end up getting the Alien Gear holster? If so, I would be interested in your thoughts on it. From the reviews I have seen online, it looks and sounds like it is made out of a cheap, plastic that would be more likely to break from long term use. Your thoughts if you purchased it and are using it would be appreciated.
Lol wiggle room with Safarliland holsters is so real. It's like a bucket that just happens to have some locks on it, like they just made something vaguely gun shaped and called it a fit holster. The 1/4" of movement freaked me out at first thinking my holster was broken when turning the screw on the side did nothing until I found out it's a feature not a bug and Safarliands just aren't designed with any kind of positive retention.
Love that the trigger/triggerguard is actually covered unlike their other light bearing holsters. I'm convinced that was causing a few of the 320 NDs. partially exposed trigger on a firearm with no trigger blade safety is a recipe for disaster. I can reach in and just barely pull the trigger of the 320. If it had a trigger blade safety i wouldn't be able to. Not an issue in any of my other holster but the open holster and 320 is just such a bad combination. This looks to have fixed that issue. Now if SIG would just add a damn trigger blade safety lol. I'll just buy an Agency Arms trigger for now.
Funny to me when you look at the numbers of Beretta sold but it seems that no holster maker wants to make one for them that is a little crazy it is almost like a conspiracy
@@DavidLLambertmobile LAPD, the third largest police force in the US picked it up. That was less than a year ago, others are evaluating it now. I wouldn't say it failed the trials, they just couldn't compete with Sigs willingness to sell to the Army at or below cost, that was the deciding factor. Same with Glock.

Good question. As of now Safariland hasn't commented on olight fits and we are still learning exactly what Streamlight and Surefire lights they will fit. If olights are compatible then you will be good for the Glock 17 with the RDS. Safariland says the first run of the SafariVault™ holster is listed to fit the Glock 17/19/34/45/47 and Sig P320/320c X-Frame and standard frames Hope this helps!

with a design like that it should be fitted to the lights and be capable of holding any pistol. its got a magnet in too for retention and open bottom it's already 1/2 way there...
Nothing has been indicated by Safariland yet in regards to the available finishes. Basketweave would be nice though as a lot of agencies require that finish
It's a fit we don't stock, but I would recommend looking for Safariland part # 6360-151-xxx or 6390-151-xxx. Hope this helps! The xxx will be the finish and draw hand you need

Safariland could have easily just improved their existing models with an enlarged and textured ALS nub, added the recess for the camera activation device, and opened the bottoms without changing the external appearance. Instead they release this abomination so they can call it a "new product line" to generate interest and justify a huge price tag. The magnet is a silly gimmick that will add unnecessary weight.
As ken hackathorn said these holster companies are just making mail boxes for your hip at this point. We want slimline andcontoured to the gun. Not massive amounts of extra material and bulk. I thought the 7000 series holster were kind of ugly but this is an abomination. If its functional i guess people will buy it but i’m going to stick with the 6000 series and some 7000 depending on the price i find it at
The 6000 series is king, the 7000 series while still a serviceable holster, feels cheap and presents more of a gun bucket design and lost the classy look of the 6000 series. This looks like a brick strapped to a belt. Improvement on security and functionality is ultimately king, but can we not throw presentation and look completely out the door?

To bulky and you didn’t cover speed of acquisition as well as what fine motor skills are needed to draw this weapon. I have the ALS system and it is to slow and if a person is exhausted and their fine motor skills have deteriorated, their speed of acquisition will be in jeopardy.
How about people buy the Holster first and try it out for 2 weeks, and if you don't like it return it instead of talking all this crap about a product you don't own yet. Jeez.
Now if they will just make one for the Canik sfx life will be good but I don’t expect it Safariland is way to racist to make a holster for a gun made in Turkey

That’s annoying, it’s a full duty rig but it doesn’t accept full size duty lights like the x300 and TLR6HL

It’s Sooo Bulky looking. I’ve used Safariland for years but my next duty holster will be an Alien Gear Rapid Force holster.

Same with the FN 509. Hell LAPD selected it and they're having difficulty getting a holster company for them.
It's 2023 not 1993. 92Fs are not popular or common. I'd ask for SL gear for the 4" Walther PDP. PDPs are great semi auto guns.

The SafariVault uses the same ALS/SLS for Level III or ALS only for Level I as all their other holsters.
